Uwaa, same. When my parents introduce me to their cousin's they immediately recognize me but I'm sitting there going 'uhhh'. Doesn't help my mom alone has 29 first cousins who all have kids.

I have literally no idea. Five or more first cousins, but by "or more," eight or more is quite possible AFAIK. It doesn't help that I'm second-generation on my dad's side and some of his siblings still live in de old country.

Which uncle? How little was I? They never specify and I'm just standing feeling awkward while their smiles hold me prisoner.

My favorite is when they say 'You guys met when you were at *other relative you vaguely remember*'s wedding that happened when you were 8, you remember that right' or 'They were at the last family gathering, you remember them there right?'.

I know all my first cousins. Except one because she was way older then me and kinda got hit by a drunk driver when I was 11.

I was talking about my parents cousins because I only remember a few of those, and usually only because of the funny stories I hear about those. Or if they had a big house when a gathering was held there. Oh or if they owned an ice cream parlor on Rockaway Beach. Or if they are a professional sculptist.

Because pretty much outside of a few I have no idea who the rest of the 29 are other then like 2 more.

Tbh I don't even know all of my first cousins. I have way too many, on both sides. It's why I never go to gatherings if I don't have to. Well, that and the soul food.
