So I still get the security warning when opening anything in a new tab, and every time I make a post the site asks me if I want to leave the page.

The malware warnings will persist for up to the next 72 hours, because there's nothing I can do about them. Google has to review the site and make sure we cleaned up all the spam and shit.

Once they do that and we get a clean bill of health, the warnings will go away. Until then, just kind of bear it guys.

Nothing too interesting, but some of it tried to redirect towards malware. That's what got us caught up in it.

As for the Warning message, it only comes up when opening a thread in a new tab.

Just leave the threads you look at the most open in other tabs, refreshing doesn't trigger the warning again.

A couple of systems seem to have been given a kick in the behind and are now doing better jobs.

In terms of official stuff, the release notes aren't great for these versions (and I am undoubtedly worse at interpreting them), but it's mostly security updates, a bit of streamlining and bugfixes, and some php compatibility improvements.

This was the bug I brought up with Seika before, how posting a number of times in a thread will automatically subscribe you, even if you set it to not do that. It kept happening even after unsubscribing from a thread.

That said, it says it's fixed in 4.2.3 Beta 3, and I'm pretty sure our version is later than that. If it's still happening, I know 4.2.4 is on Beta 2 right now, but I will wait until an official release to update to that (since betas are unsupported by them).

Gotta love how Google clearly did an automated review. They said "Nope, they're still there!"

Why? Because the spammers posted in the F/GO thread... and the thread still exists... so their automated tools apparently think that the shit's still there.

Lovely. Maybe when I get up and try again in the morning ("Wait several hours before submitting another claim"), I can get an actual HUMAN to look at it, because the posts that were problematic are GONE. (And HTML, which the attack vector used, isn't even enabled and never has been precisely because of the risk of attacks like that, so I really don't understand why they still think it's bad.)

It was a bit different from that, the inline images embeds was throwing off their scanner. I've edited the posts to remove it. There was other URLs it flagged and I deleted/edited those as well. Maybe it'll be fixed once another review is submitted to Google.
