    Class: Archer
    Identity: Daniel Boone; Sheltowee
    Armament: Rifle, Knife, Tomahawk
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Source: Historical
    Atribute: Man
    Traits: Pioneer, Folk Hero, Human
    Appearance:
Archer is a man in his mid thirties with somewhat sharp features and a compact build at 5’8”. He has soft blue eyes ever searching and short light brown hair kept in a swept back style. His standard attire is buckskin clothing suitable for life in the wilderness. Any questions about a coonskin hat will be met with an angry glare.

    Parameters:
    Str C
    End B+
    Agi C
    Mana D
    Luck B+
    NP A

    Likes: Family, The Woods, Hunting
    Dislikes: Commercialism, Lawyers
    Talents: Survival, Exploration, Marksmanship
    Natural Enemy: None

    Skills
    Spoiler:

    Class Skills:
    Magic Resistance D
Cancels Single-Action spells. Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy. Archer didn’t encounter much magic during his life aside from what he was exposed to as a captive of the Shawnee.

    Independent Action A+
The Servant can operate without a Master. With a Rank of A+ that exceeds even A, the support of a Master is unnecessary even while unleashing a large amount of magical energy. It is an ability that bends the rules and allows for the continued materialization of Servants even after the conclusion of a Holy Grail War. In life Archer survived for months in the wilderness on his own, and is a famous pioneer.

    Personal Skills:
    American Pioneer EX
All the skills necessary for life on the American frontier. Effectively gives rank A beast killer, marksmanship, unyielding will, and bravery. Also causes endurance to be treated as always rank up, and gives a bonus to luck in wilderness areas. While Archer may not have necessarily had all of these skills in life, his identity as the quintessential American pioneer gives him this composite skill at the highest rank.

    Acculturation B
After time spent for extended with a person or group periods gains knowledge of cultural customs and proficiency with their weapons and fighting styles. This can even begin to take place during combat. At rank B perfect replication isn’t possible, but it still proves very useful in battle and diplomatic negotiation. One can easily begin to think of the bearer of this skill as one of the family after extended contact. After being captured by the Shawnee Archer adopted their ways to survive. His act was so convincing his former friends thought he had truly betrayed them and called for a court martial.

Eye of the Mind (False) B
Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. So long there is even a 1% chance of a comeback, this ability greatly improves the chances of winning. Given for Archer’s aptitude for coming out on top in unfavorable situations refined with experience in battle and the wilderness.

    Noble Phantasms
    Spoiler:

    Tick Licker C (Anti-Unit)
    (Range: 1~100 Target: 1)
Archer’s faithful gun now runs on mana for bullets. Its name can be invoked to allow Archer to take a precision shot able to “shoot a tick off an animal’s back”. When the shot is taken, the bullet will ignore everything except what was intended to be hit. Archer can’t aim for something he wouldn’t have been able to hit in the first place such as flesh underneath armor or vital organs themselves. The bullet will however, never hit something it wasn’t intended to, and will simply pass through a raised shield or other new obstacle.

    Boonesborough A (Anti-Fortress)
    (Range: 1~75 Target: 300)
Allows creation of a fort garrisoned with spectral pioneers armed with rifles, possessing rank E stats, and the American Pioneer skill at D rank. While unable to stand up to anti fortress Noble Phantasms, it has a few advantages: it’s a nigh impassable obstacle to those unwilling to use said Noble Phantasm or something of equal power, can be easily rebuilt if destroyed multiple times over the course of a grail war, and is constantly being repaired by it’s garrison.

    Lore
    Spoiler:

Daniel Boone was a man who forged one of the many paths to the American Frontier. Few have gained as much fame for doing so, and only one other can boast such an iconic status as an American folk hero and pioneer. Boone was born into a Quaker home in Pennsylvania. From an early age he exhibited potential, and legends surround his childhood. He is said to have killed a bear at three and shot a panther mid spring at twelve.
As an adult he would visit Kentucky and fall in love with it’s serene nature and plentiful hunting. Eventually he took his family there, but tragedy struck when his son was captured by the Cherokee and tortured to death. Boone’s plans of founding a settlement were morbidly put on hold. Soon He was hired to help forge a path to Kentucky through the Cumberland Gap. At the end of which he founded Boonesborough, a settlement he would spend much of his life gaining fame defending. Once the American Revolution began Boone was made a captain of militia and help defend Boonesborough from Native Americans. One of his most famous exploits would happen during this time. His and a few other men’s daughters were captured during the war. Boone led men to rescue them by ambushing the war party while they were taking a break to eat. This helped him gain local fame.
Boone’s next famous exploit was when he was captured by the Shawnee and adopted by their chief. Boone would bide his time for five months waiting for the opportunity to escape. While captive he threw himself into being another member of the tribe to survive. After finding out of an eminent attack on Boonesborough, he escaped in time to warn them. Boone had many other adventures and many impressive feats such as swinging from vines to throw enemies off his trail, or dodging musket fire. His adventures were published in a book in Europe and America gaining him widespread fame. But most of the aging pioneer’s exploits had come to an end. Much of his late life was spent peacefully in Missouri where he had moved after bitter legal struggles over land claims in Kentucky. He would live a long life with his wife and family. And so would die one of America’s first and greatest heroes.

    Personality
    Spoiler:

Archer is a man of few words, but those he bothers to say should be heard. He’s humble, and may even become irritated if too much of a big deal is made of his alleged exploits. During life he yearned for the solitude on the wilderness, and that hasn’t changed after becoming a heroic spirit. A master would be wise to give Archer space when it’s desired. A kind man with an adventurous spirit, he’s generally very agreeable, and his independent action will usually only benefit his master. But wary should the master be who attempts to make Archer go against his morals. It will cost at least two command seals, and likely that master’s life if Archer survives.

Many heroic actions and chivalrous adventures are related of me which exist only in the regions of fancy. With me the world has taken great liberties, and yet I have been but a common man.

Hi, I’ve been lurking on the thread for awhile, and I’ve really enjoyed the hard work I’ve seen people putting into servants. Especially the ones I’m surprised Type Moon hasn’t done already. I finally decided to post my first servant. I’m quite happy with the way he turned out, and was surprised to see I’m apparently the first to put him on the internet. He’s one of my favorite American heroes, and I felt he deserved a sheet. I think he could do decently well in a grail war. The strategy I envisioned for him was either the long con, or waiting for the opportune moment. He’d be good at sniping a distracted master, or he could team up and provide ranged support until the alliance ended and have an advantage over his former ally. He wouldn’t do amazing in a straight fight, but he could hold his own.

“So, Master, you know why I don’t have any friends?”

It was among the most pitiful, pathetic questions that could ever be asked, coming from the mouth of the strongest Servant. And yes, he knew exactly why Chiyou (Class: Saber) did not have any friends at Chaldea.

Around him, sunlight filtered through gaps between an ocean of leaves, creating shapeless, meaningless patterns on the ground and his clothes. A moaning wind rustled those same leaves, creating the lifeless drizzle that makes autumn in the forests of Germania. The wind carried the scent of bark, of morning dew and dried leaves. Looking at Chiyou’s lack of skin coverage made him rub his arms despite not feeling that cold himself. It was good weather, or perhaps he was just fond of the season.

They were back in the Septem singularity. It was not the one in which he met the aspects of Chiyou—that one was most certainly broken beyond repair. This was the one he and his Servants fixed, strong and stable on its road to complete recovery. Time moved on, Nero would lose a precious person, and eventually her grasp on lucidity, the love of her people, and her life altogether. He was not sure of the exact date, but he knew the Eternal City would soon burn.

The weight of Galahad’s shield in his arms was cumbersome, but not wholly uncomfortable. Chiyou had offered to carry it, but he did not allow it, for this shield was his and Mashu’s treasure. Then she had offered to reproduce it at their destination, so he would not have to go through the effort of lugging it around.

And that was the second of Chiyou’s problems.

The first, of course, was that she was ungodly powerful. Gilgamesh was not a problem—he did not often flaunt her might as the King of Heroes. His status was merely spoken, not displayed or imposed. But Chiyou’s might was very present, very real, and very vivid in the minds of the other Servants.

    She had beaten them all.

She had hunted down every single Servant afflicted by Banner of Chiyou, and literally beaten sense back into them, using weapons custom-made to dispel the powers of the Beast of Freedom.

However, being the strongest was not the real issue—a similar situation had happened when Sharur arrived, and she quickly connected with her fellow Servants.

“Your power trivializes them,” he finally replied. “You can reproduce their Noble Phantasms. Whatever techniques they use, you can do as well or better.”

“I can’t help being who I am!” complained the six-armed beauty. Her voice carried not petulance, but the frustration of a depressed child. Clearly, the mighty God of War had not suffered relationship issues in life.

“Nobody would ask you to be anything else.”

She replied with a lively, tomboyish grin; the kind of joy that lightened the burdens of those around it.

Again, Gilgamesh was not a problem because he did not bother interacting with the vast majority of Servants. Chiyou was the very opposite: outgoing, friendly, eager to be everywhere and be part of everything. It was somewhat endearing, but it gave the impression she was trying too hard.

So, when she dragged him into Septem “to summon a friend”, he gladly joined her. After all, the more time she spent loafing in his room, the closer they all were to a regrettable explosion from the My Room Trio, and that was an annoyance he could do without, thank you very much.

Leonardo da Vinci announced herself with the familiar beeps.

“Ah, ah, there you are. Signal’s stable, all vitals ok. Good to have a flawless rayshift for a change.”

“I still think you owe me for not taking me to Seraphix, Master.”

“I don’t get to decide those things! I could have really used an overpowered God of War down there!”

“Actually, I say it because I’m not confident I could’ve beaten that Sesshouin woman. Now I will never know. It pisses me off.”

“You really only care about yourself, don’t you?”

The Master’s crooked smile met Chiyou’s lively grin.

    “You know me.”

    “Yes, yes; you are Chiyou.”

The war god laughed loudly and sharply, a boisterous “ka-kah!” that rustled the nearby leaves. The fallen dried leaves clung to her considerable hair, but she made no effort to remove them.

“Looking lovely,” he said, somewhat bemused.

“Always.” The smiling Chiyou did not bother look at the young Master, choosing to instead admire the palette of colors the forest offered in autumn. A fox barked some meters away, alarmedly staring at the Chaldean expedition for a few moments before darting away, its bright form quickly disappearing amidst the carpet of fallen leaves.

“I apologize for interrupting your date, but our dear Mashu insisted we have to keep a close eye on you two.”

“Please ignore what da Vinci says, senpai. I make your health our utmost priority.”

Master and Servant side-glanced at each other. Chiyou laughed at a wordless joke, and the young man rolled his eyes.

“You’ll have to do something about that, my pitiful Master.”

“That?” inquired the former (?) Demi-Servant.

    “You.”

    “Me?”

    “I want you, Master.”

“Eh—eeeh!? Wha-wha—what are you saying, Chiyou!?”

“Aaah, too bad,” lamented the dark femme, clicking her tongue. “Didn’t work, Master.”

The Master rolled his eyes again, but there was a poorly restrained smile on his face, which the war god took as her victory. They walked deeper into the forest, all the while ignoring da Vinci’s chuckling and Mashu’s spirited demands for an explanation for the past twenty seconds of their lives.

    *****************************

“So, you think this will really work.”

“Have I ever not done anything I said I would do?”

    “…point taken.”

Nodding in acknowledgement of da Vinci’s concession, Chiyou indicated the Master where to plant the shield. He had thought they would go to the place where they first met their target, but they had traveled even further north. Chiyou had apparently sought the largest tree in the region. It was clearly nourished by magical power, a yew tree the size of a sequoia, the rustle of its thousands of leaves an ominous song as if disapproving of their intrusion.

“It is still a generation before the people who history would come to call the Saxons spread into this region,” explained Chiyou. “This tree will eventually become a divine monument for them; the center of their religious practices; the place where they could connect with their gods. Seven hundred years from this time, Charlemagne will destroy this place.”

“You are saying this is the Irminsul?” da Vinci asked in a breathy voice, seemingly mesmerized by the immense tree.

“What will eventually be. But we are not here to summon a Saxon hero. That’s where I come in.”

She moved in front of the Master, who was already standing with his back to Galahad’s shield. Upon resting two of her hands on his shoulders, she responded to his raised eyebrow with a wink. He would have been all hot and bothered by that a couple years earlier. Not anymore. This is a man who regularly enjoys the company of Shutendouji, after all.

“Um, Chiyou, just what are you doing?”

“Master, tell your jealous girlfriend to calm down.”

    “Wha—!”

The young man chose the wise path of silence.

“Just like she called for me, now I will call for her. Let’s do this.”

They closed their eyes together, creating an intimate image. Their thoughts were shared, centered on the same figure. The Master could not know what image Chiyou produced in her mind, but he simply recalled their brief time together.

Magical energy circulated around them, centered on the shield. The air displaced whistled like a hawk’s cry, seeping into the gaps in the yew tree’s branches and leaves. The scent of ozone mixed with the natural aromas of autumn. Crackling sparks made the fallen leaves jolt, leap and snap on the ground around them.

The Master recalled her face, clad in a stern, disapproving gaze. He remembered her clearly: stubborn, defensive, paranoid, mistrustful and fearful. The one who arrived at Chaldea, however, was a realized being, one who had come to understand herself and cherish her existence. Free of her persecution complex, and overcoming her fear, she willfully chose the path she believed correct, even if it led to her inevitable end. He wanted to know her half of the story. He wanted to ask her so many things: about herself, about Goetia, about Solomon…

It had been several months since those rough days at the collapsing timeline. He had gone through other adventures in that time: that ridiculous alteration of the Meiji Restoration, and the nightmare at Seraphix. He had made new friends. Some of them had joined him at Chaldea. His irreplaceable companion at the offshore complex was gone, perhaps never to show herself before him again, but he remained hopeful. But he had not forgotten the musket girl, and his hope that she, too, would join the battle for the Human Order.

The ambient magical energy coalesced rapidly and then scattered, a drizzle of white motes like fireflies in daylight. Chiyou opened her eyes, looked over his shoulder, smiled and pulled herself away, letting go of his shoulders. Her smile told the Master what he wanted to know, and he quickly turned around to look past Galahad’s treasured armament.

Truly, she had come. Truly, the Throne had welcomed her, acknowledging her heroic deeds opposing Chiyou. Eyes closed, she let blue lines of electrical flow wash over her body harmlessly. A red-wine-colored scarf—matching the color of her horns—billowed behind her, alongside an elegant scarlet cape with gold embroidery. She had arrived with musket in hand.

    “Servant Assassin…seriously.”

She already sounded exasperated; it brought a smile to his face. She slowly opened her eyes.

“What the hell’s the Throne thinking, making the likes of me a Serv—geh!”

Da Vinci’s voice promptly came to life.

“Alright, let me check out who went with ‘geh’…I have Drake! Drake’s our winner! Wait, and Mashu!?”

    “Ah, um, somehow, I knew…”

Barbatos’ head swayed as if caught in a daze, while a soulful yet somewhat pathetic moan escaped her lips. After letting her head drop for a few seconds, she released a long and pitiful moan.

    “Fuck me in the ass.”

“Nah, can’t help you with that.”

Nobody paid attention to the laughing Chiyou.

“Seriously, what the fuck!? What the fuck is this, torture!? Purgatory!? Is this karma!? What the fuck did I do to deserve—” Her jaw slackened as her eyes widened in realization.

    “Ah, right. The Goetia thing.”

“Please don’t trivialize the extermination of the human race.”

“Oh fuck me, you are my Master—urk!” She brought her free hand to her neck. “Gods, I feel sick just thinking about it. So this is how it feels to have puke in your throat. Not fun.”

The Master laughed at her exaggerated disgust, and got a half-hearted glare for that.

“You did this. On purpose. You brought me here to punish me with…ugh…you.”

“She is really in high spirits,” commented da Vinci.

“I’m just basking in the love,” replied the young man.

“Oh fuck you,” spat Barbatos. She closed her eyes for a moment. When she opened them again, most of her hostility was gone. “You took a while to summon me. I take you’ve been busy.”

    “Beast III/R.”

Narrowing her gaze, Barbatos clicked her tongue, walking around the shield standing on the ground.

“You took too long, you fucking idiot. I should’ve been there.”

    “Hoo…”

The young man smiled as da Vinci came to realize what he had always known.

“Yes,” he murmured, knowing only the supporters at Chaldea. “That’s why I summoned her.”

Barbatos had walked over to the smiling Chiyou.

    “Chiyou. Class Saber, I presume.”

    “Heya—ow!”

The war god gaped at the humble demon who had just flicked her forehead.

“You fucking useless piece of shit, why didn’t you show up at the singularity!? You could’ve snipped that crisis at the root, but nooo! You just had to play hard to get, huh! Huh!?”

The Master of Chaldea guessed Chiyou was just too taken aback by Assassin’s gall to respond to the incessant poking.

“And what with that appearance!? Are you a god or war or a slut!?”

    “hey, don’t diss the clothes!”

“There are no clothes! It’s skanks like that turn that brat into a worthless piece of shit Master!”

“Nah, I’d say it’s all me,” commented the Master in question.

“Shitty Master, please shut up the fuck up.” She shot a scathing glare at the young man before looking back at Chiyou, whose smile showed a little bit of tension. It made her Master pity her a little. Barbatos is known as a “friendly” demon, one who creates friendships and brings friends together. The hopeless war god with zero social skills had placed her hopes on the demon god of the Wild Hunt.

“Hmm, well, you showed up in the end and you put an end to it, as expected of the strongest among the seven.”

Glancing one more time at the Master, and perhaps finding inspiration from him, the former demon pillar bowed in the style of his home country.

“For doing what I could not, you have my gratitude.”

The wind blew gently, carefully agitating the ocean of trees, its ripples becoming a drizzle of dried leaves over the scene clad in silence. Master and Servant stared at the demon humbling herself, the human clearly pleased while the goddess was merely surprised.

    “…angel.”

    “Huh?”

“Ma-Ma—Master! The demon god! Became an angel! Too cute!”

Barbatos found herself glomped by six arms.

    “The fuck!?”

“My artificial heart went ‘kyun’ for a moment there! You’re the best! I love you!”

“I’ll fill your body with holes if you don’t let me go right now!”

“Your bullets can’t pierce my skin~”

    “Fuck, you’re annoying!”

Eventually Chiyou allowed a concession: she kneeled and clung to Barbatos’ waist while the Assassin and the Master conversed.

“So you’ve dealt with two and a half Beasts,” commented the horned musketeer. “There’s still the issue of Beast IV, but it should get easier after dealing with Sharur and Chiyou. I take you are focusing on the non-standard and offshoot singularities?”

“So you’re aware of it all,” said da Vinci, to which Barbatos responded with a brief shrug.

“Shit happens. No way something as huge as the Human Order Incineration Ritual would not leave lasting effects. And I know I was not the only one of the 72 who made it out of the Time Temple in some way or form.”

“Then we have a lot to discuss, as soon as you arrive.”

“Joy. So, shitty Master,” the former pillar fully focused on the young man. “How many new
    Servants
    sex kittens
are you cheating on Kyrielight with?”

There was no other possible reaction to that but laughter.

    “I’m not counting, Barbatos.”

“Uwah, gross. Stay away from me, I’ll get pregnant. I’ll give birth to a half-piece of shit, half-tentacle horror.”

They could hear laughter from the Chaldea communication line. It seemed da Vinci and Mashu had company. Speaking of Mashu, only sounds like “uuuu…” came out of her.

“But, I mean, it’s not like I blame you,” continued the demon. “It’s hard to keep a smidgen of decency in a place where some creepy man-woman can peep on you at any time and any place. Ceiling da Vinci’s really watching you masturbate.”

Francis Drake’s rambunctious laughter was heard loud and clear from the other side of the line.

“I mean, I guess that’s fine for Servants—I’ve come to realize that all Heroic Spirits are basically perverts—, but that’s just not a healthy environment for a teenager with way more responsibility than any teenager should ever be allowed to have. Really, who came out with that idea? ‘Hey, let’s place the fate on the world on the walking bundle of hormones! He’s obviously the most qualified to make the tough decisions’.”

    She paused.

“Ah, right, Solomon. Let me tell you: the books don’t say anything about Solomon outside the throne room where he, ya know, ‘imparted his wisdom’.” Barbatos was making air quotation marks. “He was so fucking lame.”

    She blinked.

“God, I have so many embarrassing Solomon stories. I didn’t even know they were funny before—I was a demon god, I didn’t care ‘bout that shit.”

“We know what we’re doing tonight!” announced King David through the Comm. Line.

The Master of Chaldea could only shake his head at the demon’s irreverence.

“You might just be the little sister I didn’t know I wanted.”

“I know I was technically remade and reborn after the Time Temple, but I still feel pretty fucking older than you.”

“Come on, give it a try. Call me onii-chan.”

“Are your ears full of shit or what?”

“By the power of this Command Seal—!”

“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me—”

“I command you, Barbatos! Call me onii-chan!”

“Imma fuck yo’ shit up, onii-chan!”

The Chaldea support group grew a little worried when the transmission from Germania became an staccato of musket fire.

    “Um…are you there, Chiyou?”

“Yes, yes! Hello, da Vinci, Iron Emperor Chiyou here~”

    “Um, what’s going over there?”

“Well, Barbatos-tan is chasing our Master across the forest, firing her musket here and there.”

It was a very low-speed chase, their feet sinking on the bed of fallen leaves with every step. Chiyou stopped to listen to the words they traded as the Master gave it his all to run away and the Servant did not really try to truly catch up to him.

“Stop running! Non-lethal gun wounds build character and attract bitches!”

“I will not listen to your alluring words, demon!”

    “Yup, they’re having fun.”

    “P-P—Please stop her, Chiyou.”

“Mah, calm down, Mashu-Mashu. They’re just fooling around. If she really wanted to catch him she’d have already done so, and if she really wanted to kill him, I would’ve already stopped her.” She shrugged. “Let them have their fun, I say. Heck, they actually kinda look like siblings like that. Except, you know, the horns. And the gunfire. And—”

“Holy crap did you just find an Yggdrasil seed just laying down over there!?”

    “Aw, fuck, here we go—”

“Can you still give me hearts and pages—”

    “FUCK. NO.”

    Barbatos of the Wild Hunt

“Barbatos, a great countie or earle, and also a duke, he appeareth in Signo sagittarii sylvestris, with foure kings, which bring companies and great troopes. He understandeth the singing of birds, the barking of dogs, the lowings of bullocks, and the voice of all living creatures. He detecteth treasures hidden by magicians and inchanters, and is of the order of vertues, which in part beare rule: he knoweth all things past, and to come, and reconcileth freends and powers; and governeth thirtie legions of divels by his authoritie.”

    Biography
Demon Pillar Barbatos experienced unfathomable agony, ceaseless extermination, and disconnection from the hive system, Goetia. Having faced the utmost expression of human selfishness and greed, upon knowing complete defeat, the Demon God nevertheless clung to existence. Upon gaining individuality, Barbatos sought what all humans seek: purpose and understanding. So, it remade itself, as a Phantom based on the lore created around the name “Barbatos” across the centuries. As a foundation, however, it used several sources, starting with Berchta, the Germanic goddess of pre-Christian Alpine paganism.

This is Barbatos, the hunter, depicted with either a bow or a musket. It hunts down those foolish enough to wander in the dark forest at night. The Prince Barbas in the Livre des esperitz, who understands the voices of all creatures and thusly commands them. The Count Barbaras in the Munich Manual of Demonic Magic, who finds all things hidden with magecraft. Unlike Herodias, who used the Germanic goddess in the form of the witch—the Catholic demonization of Hecate—, Barbatos used her in the form of the huntress, Artemis demoted to a mere demon. Medieval references aside, her true core is the personification of human fear, the Wild Hunter gracefully depicted by the French grand dame of anarchy, Louise Michel, in the late 19th Century.

Barbatos, like all (non-True) Demons, was a human creation, born of human need. However, it was not originally the embodiment of a wish, but the result of a need to give shape to humanity’s ancient fear, one which was only somewhat dispelled by Edison and Tesla’s delivery of electrical lighting to the whole of mankind. Barbatos is the fear of the darkness of night, of the silence of the dark woods, and of the things that lurk there, ready to prey on humanity. Man stands at the top of Creation, but an individual human is no apex predator. Humans are weak, slow and thin-skinned. Barbatos is also the personification of that frightening awareness, and of the wish to overcome human weakness with cunning and guile.

Before she was a Hunter, she was the Iudex Barbatos, a castigator of mankind’s sins, like all her kind. Barbatos has the power to bring people together, so she punished those who thought too highly of themselves, carrying no appreciation for others. She understands the songs of the birds, the howling of wolves and even the cracking of leaves as they break off their trees. She dances along to the waltz of the wind. She knows all treasures, all caves and hidden places, and thus she punished those who wandered in the dark, either out of greed or out of sheer foolishness.

But those days are over. Humanity has seized the reins of its own existence, so judicators like Barbatos are no longer needed. When the Hunter and the Iudex are discarded, what remains is the Barbatos who has learned and asserted her individuality. Turns out her true self is a nagging, foul-mouthed sisterly character that constantly berates you even as she gives it her best at helping you do better. As a Demon, her judgement was flawed because she could not understand humans. Now that she knows the pain, the sorrow and the joy of the mortal experience, she needs no longer act as a judge. Thus, she’s become a guide, harshly but lovingly pushing humanity forward in her own clumsy way. After all, she may have renounced her original purpose, but she cannot deny her base nature. Rather, she just enjoys looking down on people. She offers great advice, though, so there is worth in bearing with her filthy mouth for a while.
    Skills & Noble Phantasms
    Class Skills

    Independent Manifestation – E+
A special Skill that permits unsupported manifestation into reality, without necessity of energy cost or of summoning by a Master. Grants resistance against the instantaneous imposition of death and attacks affected by time manipulation.

A legacy of her former existence as part of the Human Order Incineration Ritual; it was naturally sealed in her diminished form. It also seems to have changed into an expression of her personal pride, granting her a measure of resistance against Command Seals.

    Presence Concealment –
The capacity to hide one's presence as a Servant. In the case of Assassin, it has been replaced by the Skill Hunter of the Dark Woods.

    Personal Skills

    Clairvoyance of a Demon God – A+
The ability to see the past of all objects and creatures within her sight, analyze those visions, and from that analysis deduct their most likely immediate future—all of this done instantaneously. A fine Skill applicable both in and outside of combat. Replaces the original’s Sphere Eye.

The demonic ability to see into the hearts of humans does not fit a hunter. No longer a system that responds to the desires of humans, Assassin has reimagined her inhuman insight into a tool of unparalleled predation.

Horns of the Four Kings – C+
The horns that announce the beginning and the end of the hunt. The feebleminded will be instantly struck with paralyzing fear upon hearing its baleful sound. Replaces the original’s Drunken Eye.

During battle, it addles the minds of warriors, hampering their ability to develop protracted tactics or anything beyond “hurting the enemy in front of me”. Outside the battlefield, they become “the horns announcing merriment after the hunt”. They create an atmosphere around which violent conflict is difficult to occur, giving way instead to merriment and shenanigans.

While technically a mental interference effect, it also has a secondary Skill nullification effect; Assassin’s very existence rejects pointless strife, so Skills that nurture violence have no place in her vicinity.

Hunter of the Dark Woods – A (diminished from Rank EX)
The quality of the terrifying woodland hunter, one of many at the head of the Wild Hunt. Replaces the Assassin Class Skill Presence Concealment, and the original’s Forthcoming Despair.

She who understands the singing of birds, the barking of hounds, and the voices of all living creatures. She who sees the truths hidden in the falling leaves and the whistling wind. The world is always on Assassin’s side: the forest itself guides the hunter, concealing and smothering her steps until the possibility of an ideal, decisive ambush that maximizes success rate at minimum risk, can be realized. The effect of this Skill is greatly diminished outside forest areas and at daytime.

Seeker of Obtenebrated Arcana – EX
An innate talent to locate treasures and other valuable objects, especially those hidden with magecraft. It includes the ability to detect and bypass magical wards and curses on objects and/or locations, as well as the knowledge to identify the thaumaturgical worth of an object.

Treasure just seems to fall into her hands. In videogame terms, a passive Skill that increases item drop rates. Originally, it was through the temptation of these treasures that the demon would judge the worth of human souls, leading those found lacking toward perdition. In her current form, they become tools she uses for her uncanny combat tactics. Also, she delights in dangling bucket loads of Saint Graph improvement materials over her Master’s head without ever sharing them with him. Truly a demon, this girl.

    Noble Phantasms

    La nuit dans les bois
    Hopeless Soul, Fear Your Predator

    Rank: E
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Range: 1-10
    Maximum Targets: 1 target

The core manifestation of her identity as a Wild Hunter: The Night in the Woods. It is the imbuement of a primal fear, one possessed by all animals, without exception. Even those standing at the top of the food chain carry this terror deep within their psyche, waiting to be awakened by evolution and circumstance, for it is a foundational, primitive element of the living experience: the fear of being prey. It is this simple, yet inescapable terror that is elicited by the invocation of this Noble Phantasm, and experienced by the creature that catches a glimpse of the mouth of Barbatos’ musket.

It is simple, almost blasé mental interference that instills overpowering fear, triggered by a visual input—Barbatos’ musket. The fear of being the target of predation numbs the mind and diminishes combat effectiveness. The base effect would be too simple to be called a Noble Phantasm—it is such because it ignores all effects that normally grant resistance or immunity to mental interference. There is only one thing which can nullify the power of this Noble Phantasm: Magic Resistance, at any rank. No matter how powerful a Servant may be; without that Skill, this Noble Phantasm will make it feel fear.

    Predation Ceremony: Barbatos
Starlit Wild Hunt of the Demon Hunter

    Rank: D
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Range: 1-99
    Maximum Targets: 1 target

The core manifestation of her nature as a Demon God. The third eye of the demon
    hunter
    pillar
, and the ultimate judgement that inevitably brings down her prey. Demonic might meant to bring down the Human Order, repurposed to slay a single target. However, demons, like all spirits, are strongly bound by self-imposed rules fundamental to the definition of their very identities. The full power of this Noble Phantasm is locked behind two “gates” with four “seals” each, representing her ideal hunt.

The First Gate comprises “conditions regarding the target”:

    1. The target is sentient.
    2. The target is slower than the hunter.
    3. The target can use magecraft or another supernatural power.
    4. The target is alone.

Fulfilling this first set adds a plus-correction to the Noble Phantasm’s rank. At this rank, the shot ignores the effects of the target's abilities, Skills or Noble Phantasms that would reduce or nullify the damage from the shot.

The Second Gate comprises “conditions regarding the environment”:

    1. The shot is made outdoors.
    2. The shot is made at night.
    3. The shot is made inside a forest.
    4. The Sun is in Sagittarius.

Fulfilling these conditions adds a second plus-correction (to a maximum of D++). At this rank, the shot ignores all effects that would diminish or nullify the damage from the shot, from sources other than the target (such as environmental effects and third-party spells, Skills, or Noble Phantasms). At this point, the bullet will chase its target anywhere in the universe, and it is certain to strike its target and inflict critical damage. It cannot be dodged, and it will dart around or simply phase through natural and magical barriers—it cannot be blocked or parried.

There are two ways to escape from the perfect shot at its maximum power. The first is escaping into a separate dimension, phase or timeline, where the bullet cannot follow. The second is using an instantaneous movement spell or technique to travel somewhere indoors that you recognize as “home”. After all, the infallible way to avoid the Wild Hunt is to stay home after sundown.

    • “Shitty Master, not even you are so retarded as to not realize by now that things like Grails are no good. Seriously…try to grow up a little; I won’t be around forever to help you tell between right and wrong. Hmm, well, I guess I could stay forever, but—no, that’s no good. Way too close! Personal space, you shitty brat! Go molest Mashu Kyrielight if you want to get touchy-feely with someone!”

    5. “You know, I hated you. I hated the pain you made me feel; the death you made me experience. Does it even make sense, being able to let go of that pain, of that hate? Hmph, after all, being alive is amazing. You, too, are quite amazing. Huuuh? Don't get weird ideas; I still think you're a creepy-ass piece of shit human. But, as long as you keep striving to protect the Human Order, I feel I can keep walking by your side, my shitty Master.”

This was a bang up job for such an ambitious concept. Your quasi-fanfic singularities premise feels like the optimal stage to showcase both the mechanics and personalities of the created Servants in the flow of actual narrative, but however you choose to present them they'll always be a pleasure to read. With creativity and meticulousness of this caliber I always look forward to what you'll come up with next.

    Item Construction: C+
Can create weapons and other items out of bones.

    Personal Skills:
    Self Modification: B+
The aptitude to remold one's own body or merge one's own flesh with body parts of others. The higher the ranking in this Skill, the further away one is from being a proper hero. He uses this skill to allow his body to give himself proper armaments through giving himself the “claws” and “teeth” of the animals he researched.

    Pioneer of Science: EX
Caster’s research and works in zoology and extinction advanced the sciences ahead by miles, bringing new scientific insight into the field and is still valued to this day, the latter being one of the biggest issues humans deal with every day. With this skill, the limits of what is “impossible” and “possible” are blurred, allowing Caster to change the “impossible” to becoming “possible”, however this skill can only be used if it relates to paleontology or zoology. ”I just wanted to make humans aware of how they don’t live here for free. It’s a good thing that they’ve taken it so close to the heart.”

    Primal Roar: D
The ability to use the ancient war cries of the extinct reptilian beasts. This war cry calls to one’s fight or flight instincts prompting greater fighting spirit in allies and lowering moral in opponents. As he can only access this skill through modification, it is a low rank.

    Noble Phantasm
    Le Régne Animal
    The Greatest Kingdoms

    B+
    Anti-Army
    Range: 1~6
    Max Soldiers: 120

The most famous work of Caster, it is a massive book designed to have every species of the Animal Kingdom inside, from insects to mammals, fish to birds, all are contained within it’s pages with the intention of proving the concept of extinction.

But, if one opens the book from it’s back instead, the beautiful details of the species of every living animal vanish, replaced with pages so thick with words that only a Servant can truly perceive them. Each centimeter of this book, back to front, details the name, genus, family, and kingdom of every animal to have ever gone extinct in the world. These species lay as his proof, proof that species have, and continue to go extinct. From the great King of Dinosaurs to the First Bird, no animal is out of his grasp. Even if it died mere hours beforehand he can bring it into life once again. As these animals are regarded as “dead” by the World, they require a fair amount of mana to summon, but are difficult to perceive as living beings and will “feel” like dead familiars to magi, and some hold great power as Gaia rejoices at feeling it’s children come back to its loving arms.

These familiars can range from the scouting Archaeopteryx lizard, the blitz attacking Titanomyrma ants the size of hummingbirds, or the great Wooly Mammoth and Tyrannosaurus Rex as his “heavy” units, any species he pulls from his book can be utilized in a way only Caster can see.

He can summon a large amount, but the farther away they are from Caster the weaker and weaker they become based on their size. This leads to him often using the larger species as mounts to ensure they’re at maximum strength.

By combining his Noble Phantasm and Self Modification skill, he can adapt his body to any particular animal he needs, but he tends to stick to certain species regardless of situation.

-He gives his skin properties of the archelon sea turtle, granting him stronger resistance to attacks.
-He gives his fingernails properties of the velociraptor mongoliensis, sharpening them to the point human flesh easily gives to them.
-He gives his muscles the abilities of the sabre tooth tiger, increasing his strength and agility many times over.
-Finally, he gives his nose properties of the dire wolf, giving him a far sharper scent to detect threats to him or possible ambushes.

    Lore
Caster is Georges Cuvier, renowned naturalist and zoologist credited as the “Father of Paleontology” for his advances in helping prove extinction and the method of comparing physical traits from similar animals to prove common ancestry.

His research was also valued in the magical world, as his classification of species allowed magi to easier select specific animals species as familiars or alchemical ingredients. He was approached by several magi to bring his unique mind into researching “more valuable” magical theories for that magus’ respective family, but as he lacked circuits they didn’t reveal their identities.

His fame as a pioneer of paleontology and extinction have granted him potential to have his attribute be Star, but as he only helped in the world of animals and fossils, he cannot obtain that attribute. However, he doesn’t really care as long as he can achieve his goal.

    Personality
A diligent scientist, he has very clear distinctions between personal life and his work, keeping one at arm's length at all times and alternating depending on the situation.

His work mentality is that one must work for a cause that will benefit others, and one he must personally believe in for it to truly be worth pursuing. If he deems it not something to benefit anyone but himself, he’ll completely disregard it. Due to this mindset, he instinctively dislikes Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, as their rivalry is displacing their responsibilities as scientists.

His personal life mentality is to assist others when needed, but to show restrain on who to help and what to help with. If it is simply moving boxes or assisting one in alchemy, he will gladly do so. But intervening in personal feuds that don’t apply to him are something he refuses to help with.

    Saint

In the Christian faith, “saint” is a term used to refer to someone who, while still human, is in a standing closer to God than other men. Someone whose way of being is similar to the messiah – a holder of the Keys of the Kingdom of Heavens. Since their existences illustrate God’s holiness, they are seen as role models for people.

The Holy Church teaches that only God can “make” saints, and men only have the authority to recognize them. In regards to that recognition process, other than possessing irreproachable conduct – spending one’s life in an exemplary manner – candidates for sainthood must also have a number of miracles attributed to them.

Rather than simply pious believers, saints are those who were sublimated into higher existences by means of extraordinary virtue. Still, while they may be target of worship, saints are not deities and have no powers of their own. Fundamentally, they are capable of no greater miracles than what is allowed by the Lord.

    Valentine Day

An annual holiday celebrated on February 14. Named in honor to a certain Christian saint, it is a celebration of love and affection in which couples exchange gifts in order to affirm their feelings for each other. As far as gifts go, sentimental verses and sweets such chocolate are seen as staple.

Originally a Roman fertility festival that welcomed the arrival of spring, it was eventually taken over by Christian tradition somewhere along the way. First became associated with courtly love during the Middle Ages thanks to the works of a certain poet. It underwent several transformations from there, until finally settling on the format that is known today in the 18th-century England.

Valentine's Day is among one of the most popular festivals in modern times. Despite its origins as a Christian holiday, it is celebrated by many different people all over the world - overcoming not only national borders, but also social differences and religious barriers.

    CLASS SKILLS

    Magic Resistance: A
The capacity to negate or abate the effects of magecraft. Cancels all magecraft of A Rank (high-thaumaturgy that makes use of magic circles and instantaneous contracts) and below. Therefore, he cannot be injured by modern magi. In case of a single stroke, he may even hold back the coercion of the Command Spell.

The inherent Magic Resistance of the Ruler-Class was reinforced by the divine protection of his faith. However, as a side effect, it suffers a major Rank-DOWN when dealing with the sacraments of the Church.

    True Name Exposure: C
A special trait of the “Ruler” Class. Instantly grasps all the information – such as True Name・skills・Noble Phantasm – regarding a Servant one has directly encountered. What can be grasped is only the information as a Servant, so the thoughts, ideologies and personal circumstances of the targeted Servant are not covered by this. Also, a LCK check is required in regards to Servants with camouflage abilities – such as skills and Noble Phantasms that conceal the True Name.

    Divine Decision: B
The greatest privilege of the Ruler Class. The right to enforce Command Spells on all Servants summoned for the Holy Grail War. At B Rank, one is already furnished with one Command Spell per Servant, but it is impossible to repurpose the Command Spell meant for other Servants.

    if a Caster...
    Territory Creation: A
The technical skill to build up an advantageous encampment to oneself as a magus. Thanks to this skill that allows to create in the shortest time a workshop that displays the very best effectiveness on any kind of terrain condition, Caster boasts the greatest advantage in regards to defensive fights among all Servants. At A Rank, it is possible to mold a "temple" that exceeds a workshop.

    Item Construction (Fake): B
The technical skill to produce devices that carry magical power. Originally Valentinus would not possess this since he is not a magus, but he has an ability that is equivalent to this skill. Through the proper application of sacraments, it is possible to produce consecrated articles such as holy water, crucifixes, and etc.

    PERSONAL SKILLS

    Grace of the Saint: A+
Steadfast dignity, strength of character. Benevolence, compassion that knows no bounds. A skill that denotes an inborn disposition to perform virtuous deeds and resist vile temptations. Also described as a sanctity particular of humans, which even the gods do not have. Fundamentally, something related to the absoluteness of the mind・soul (thus granting resistance against related bad status), but it may also function as a fascination skill towards others on occasion.

    Saint: A
Indicates someone who has been formally acknowledged as a saint. A composite skill that includes Baptism Chant, the owner of this skill is endowed with the power perform sacraments even if that was not actually the case in his lifetime. Furthermore, a random bonus effect is also added up upon being summoned as a Servant. In his case, it is to “raise the effectiveness of sacraments”.

    Wedlock: EX
Valentinus special jurisdiction as a saint. The power to "unite lovers". Based on the human universal concept of "marriage", he establishes a spiritual connection (pass) between the targeted individuals. That connection will endure so long they continue to love each other, and so long that connection endures the targets will continue to receive a strong divine protection from Valentinus.

Incidentally, as far as this ability is concerned, the only requisite for becoming a target is to "truly love one another". So long that has been fulfilled, nothing else matters.

    NOBLE PHANTASM

En Kyrio – Doctrine of Salvation
    Rank: A
    Type: Anti-Unit (self)
An inner mystery of sacraments. The quintessence of the Word of God. An ability to perform miracles that is extremely close to that of the messiah. Furthermore, it also displays an effect falsely similar to the skill Divinity.

According to the teachings left behind by the Son of God, people are even now connected with the Him through the sacraments. Those sacraments are meant to serve as guideposts to lead them to Salvation, which is ultimately attained through complete and inconditional faith in the Lord. Once a believer has completely surrendered himself to His love and will (just like the savior did), he will be pardoned from all sins and accepted into Heavens in order to join the Trinity in fellowship, thus becoming one with God in a sense. Those who achieved such state are described as "having the spirit of the messiah dwelling in them".

Originally, the term "saint" was meant to be used towards any believer who attained this union with the Son of God.

"The communion of saints is the spiritual solidarity which binds together the faithful on earth, the souls in purgatory, and the saints in heaven in the organic unity of the same mystical body under Christ its head."

As a result, those "saints" become a sign of God's works. A vivid example of His everlasting, ever-present holiness. Since they have completely surrendered themselves to His will, their very existance becomes a conduit from which the Lord's power can be exerted upon the world.

Incidentally, while this is a Noble Phantasm shared by many saints, most of them only attained it after being sublimated as Heroic Spirits. Few are those who possessed it during their lifetimes.

    Background
    BACKGROUND

Valentinus. Also called San Valentino, or St. Valentine. His name means "courageous one" in Latin. Supposedly, an individual from the 3rd century. In modern times, he is widely known as the patron saint of courtly love.

Although detailed accounts about his life are scarce, it is generally believed that he was born in the city of Terni around 226 AD. A devout Christian, he had chosen the path of a clergyman who guided the common believers. At some point, he moved to Rome and began preaching his faith in secret (at the time, Christianity was a forbidden religion by the Roman Empire, and proselytism a crime punishable by death).

On 268 AD, Roman Emperor Claudius II feared that wedded soldiers would be reluctant to follow him to war and, in order to prevent a drop of morale within his troops, banned all temples from performing marriages. Valentinus was opposed to such edict and began to wed young couples in secret. Eventually he was found out and charged with treason.

Against all odds, Emperor Claudius took a liking of Valentinus when they met at the his trial. Out of pity, the Emperor promised to drop all charges against the clergyman if he were to publicly renounce to his faith and vow to never again disobey the Imperial Law. Valentinus not only refused such offer, but also attempted to convert Claudius right then an there.

Valentinus was ultimately executed on February 14, 269. His body was secretly recovered by his followers and buried nearby Ponte Milvio (Milvian bridge). In modern days, the location became regarded as a holy land for lovers.

    Saint of Love

As mentioned before, very little is known for sure about Valentinus life. As a matter of fact, it is impossible to even say whatever or not the saint called Valentinus really existed, as most sources regarding him are seen as unreliable. There are even theories that St. Valentine is actually a fictional character, created while having several similar individuals as models.

This work considers that a 3rd century priest named Valentinus really existed... but that is not this Servant. Heroic Spirit Valentinus is not a specific individual, but a representative existence. An archetype that stands for all the Christian believers who devoted themselves to their faith and lost their lives to Roman persecution as a result, but were never able to carve their own name in history. Upon summoning, any of these nameless martyrs can be selected to play the role of "Valentinus" (the brave).

Incidentally, it seems that this individual was chosen at this instance due being executed for similar "crimes" than the legendary Valentinus. At a first glance, he seems like a timid, soft-spoken and completely harmless person. While they are all true, these traits all hide his strong conviction and great moral fiber. Also, just like the legendary Valentinus, he too is prone to bold moves at unexpected times.

Fitting for one who plays the role of "St. Valentine", he regards his duty as "one who blesses lovers" as foremost. He is also a defender of "free love", believing that, so long true love is present, it is not the place of the state, the church or even God to interfere in the relationship between consenting adults. Also, since the most important thing is love, things like same-sex and even group marriages are valid in his book.

Valentinus: I wasn't sure about his NP at first, since it seemed like the most generic possible "saint" NP rather then anything associated with Valentine in particular, but when I read his background and came across the "composite saint" stuff it all came together. Very interesting idea for a Servant, reminds me a little of the Nameless Crusader sheet I wrote ages ago on the old thread.

Some parts don't quite feel as fleshed out as they could be though. Returning to his NP, while it works conceptually it's still really vague and I don't have a clear idea as to what it could actually do in a Grail War. You say it lets him channel God's power, so I'm imagining him shooting holy lasers and healing people and other archetypal examples of "white magic", but the sheet itself doesn't specify.

His Wedlock Skill has a similar combination of a cool concept and kind of underwhelming execution. What are the effects of the spiritual connection it creates (Telepathy? Sharing abilities?), and what kind of "protection" does it grant? Furthermore, I can't help but wonder if anything special would happen if he married two Servants together, or a Servant and their Master for that matter...

As he can only access this skill through modification, it is a low rank.[/I]

At what point do I go to the asylum for making this absolutely crazy idea?

Yeah, I see your point now. Though I have to say, it was partially intentional.

As mentioned in the description, the Wedlock skill borrows from the concept of “marriage”, in all its nuances. The “divine protection” here is any metaphysical aspect, supernatural effect that can be possibly connected to the bond of matrimony. If you still need a more concrete description, think of it as a extreme version of the Combination skill: both parties will receive a feast of buffs so long they remain together.

As for the Noble Phantasm, I deliberately avoided going into details on it since I would have touch on the sensitive topic of “the nature of Christ“. In simple terms what En Kyrio does is turn its owner into “a downgraded version of the savior”. The saint thus become able to do anything that the Son of God could, just not as well as Him. If you still have troubles picturing it in your mind, think of it as the Church’s variation of True Magic: although limited to things that can be defined as “miracles”, he can perform any supernatural feat that fit that description - even things things that violate the natural laws of the world.

A skill representing one as being a monster from birth. From the time he was young to his death, many thought from his horrendous appearance that he was a monster, even his own father.

    Eye for Art: E
A skill representing one as being infatuated by art. He spent his entire life ringing bells at Notre Dame, and has since learned to recognize the vibrations of certain songs and beats. The chance is next to none, but he can possibly deduce a Noble Phantasm if it has do with music relating to bells.

Beauty of Trouble With Women: D
A type of awareness that has been raised to a level of a curse. Mainly related to encounters and interactions with females. He had an infatuation with Esmeralda, but as he understood she would never love him back he lost his hope of them falling in love. He can be temporarily captivated by women who remind him of her, such as a certain French Assassin.

    Notre Dame
    The Heartbeat of Paris

    E~A++
    Anti-Army
    Range: 1~20
    Max Targets: 1~15

The only place Berserker truly called home, his exact memory of every inch of the cathedral lets him recreate it onto a certain area, taking the illusion of a Reality Marble.

In this space, he has access to the many bells of Notre Dame, from the quiet little bells that sound of birds, to massive bells that roar with the might of the thunder, every bell has a specific effect it can bring if rung individually to allies and enemies. But, Berserker never liked hiding with restraint.

Upon it's true activation, every bell shall ring in an ear shattering blast capable of temporarily distorting magecraft and the World's influence itself. With the great blast of the bells, all who Berserker sees as his friends shall hear a pleasant melody that promotes healing and defense, while all he sees as enemies shall hear a painfully loud blast that tears at their flesh and uproots their very soul. Berserker himself is immune to both the injuring aspects and the beneficiary aspects, as he can hear neither with his deaf ears.

    Lore
Berserker is Quasimodo, the protagonist of Victor Hugo's 1831 story Notre-Dame de Paris or as it's more commonly known, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Born to gypsies, he was abandoned at Notre Dame and replaced with the healthy baby. He was raised and cared for by Archdeacon Claude Frollo, who in order to protect him from the citizens of Paris ridiculing his horrific appearance, raised him in the bell tower of Notre Dame and taught him to be the bell ringer. This unfortunately lead to him becoming deaf as his ears were routinely injured by the blasts of the bells.

His life took a turn for the worse when his father and master Frollo was enchanted by the gypsy street dancer Esmeralda. Torn between his devotions to the church and his obsession, he ordered Quasimodo to capture her. Not wishing to be harmed or harm others, he complied but was subsequently captured by Captain Phoebus, which ended in him being publicly whipped and left out in the sun the next day. Begging for water, the girl he intended to capture the night before gave him water, and he was enchanted by her kindness.

Yet, after doing all he could to help her, including sliding down a rope and bringing her into the church to declare sanctuary and nealry killing Frollo, she could never love him and his repulsive appearance, having fallen in love with Phoebus. He still helped her, even pouring molten lead down onto a crowd to buy time for Phoebus and is men to arrive to save Esmeralda, it was all in vain as Frollo murdered her when she fought against him. In blind rage, Quasimodo threw his father off the cathedral, killing him.

Having killed all that he loved, he slowly walked out of Paris, and clung to Esmeralda's corpse that had been thrown out to be feasted upon by dogs. He died holding her still corpse, and when their bodies were excavated and they attempted to separate his skeleton from hers, his bones crumbed into dust.

    Personality
A kind, yet still grief ridden and heavily disturbed man, he has tragically become the very thing he never wanted to be, a monster. To his Master, he'll often follow without complaint as he would to his father, but if he sees them trying to win the war purely to get someone else to love them he will beat them down with his bare hands.

The best way to utilize Berserker is to treat him as person, not as a tool or monster. Doing this will ensure his obedience and friendship, and he will be far more kind to others and his Master, having higher chances to use his bells to help allies and harm enemies.
    <I>
I only ever saw the Disney movie until I sat down and listened to Christopher Lee reading it last weekend. Debating on making Frollo and Esmeralda Servants too, maybe Phoebus. R&R's are appreciated, as I'm not sure what to even make of it myself. FC may not work as I'm not able to use Imgur atm, if it doesn't work let me know.
