Orde Baru
The New Dream of Man
Anti-Populace, B+
The culmination of the 32 years Caster had in which he ruled over Indonesia with a firm, cold, and oppressive grip, crystallized in Caster’s ability to manipulate and control the populace. The first application
Orde Baru is rather direct and personal, with Caster touching the target and marking them with this Noble Phantasm by implanting a subtle amount of mana in their mind. On a surface level, this implantation does absolutely nothing, except marking them in Caster’s mind, revealing each of the marked person’s location, and there are also no limits to the amount of person affected by this Noble Phantasm.
Upon having established his ‘Battlefield’, however, Caster can activate
Orde Baru one more time to trigger the implanted mana, essentially turning the targets into pseudo-mind-controlled-Familiars, immediately granting them the benefits of his
Tyrant’s Charisma and
Authoritarian, regardless of distance from Caster. Caster can precisely control one of them with complex orders, or control them all as a whole with simple commands, such as ‘protect me’ or ‘attack’. The pseudo-Familiars created this way are technically not brainwash, but rather, Caster’s mana inside of them distort and twist their perception to suit what Caster wants, and thus acts with an eerie air of devotion and diligence.
Furthermore, Caster can instead opt to activate only one of them, which require him to concentrate on one subject to take control of them, granting Caster control of their senses, memories, and actions remotely. He can still mark others while in this state, but if his real body is attacked, this effect immediately cancels.
As a last resort, Caster can also remotely detonate his mana implant on a subject, crushing their mind and granting them the equivalent of Mad Enhancement D, causing them to go out of control and attack anything in sight, although even Caster, being the nasty chessmaster that he is, consider this to be too ‘savage’ for his taste.
Servants with
Magic Resistance usually can’t be affected with this Noble Phantasm, forcing Caster to resort to more… Mundane resources, such as civilians.
Dar Der Dor
The Tyrant’s Invisible Crucifix
Anti-Unit, A
In his career, Caster has encountered many incorruptible enemies, many strong-headed rebels, and many others that are simply unafraid of his power. Thus, in those cases, Caster is famous for his tendency to make his enemies slowly deteriorate in power, fame, and social status, before mercifully ending them with his connections. This is the crystallization of that power, that legend that has been remembered from generation to generation, a Curse-type Noble Phantasm that spells eventual doom to those who slights the Smiling General.
To activate this Noble Phantasm, Caster must first fulfill several conditions, which are:
1. Caster and the target must be inside Caster’s ‘Battlefield’.
2. The target must be in Caster’s clear sight on invocation.
3. The target must have conflicted with Caster at one point, whether physically or verbally.
4. Caster must have used
Orde Baru on at least 50 different targets.
Upon fulfillment of these conditions, Caster points at the target with a finger gun and invoking this Noble Phantasm’s name, firing an invisible mass of mana to the target akin to a certain Finnish curse. If the bolt hits, the target is inflicted with a curse that seemingly bends Alaya to deem the target as a threat, thus slowly pitting them against their surroundings in a string of an increasingly worse misfortunes, eventually leading to one that causes their death, or at least a state that makes them easy to kill. In parameter terms, this curse slowly drains the target’s Luck stat, up to a Rankless state, in which misfortunes fall upon them in comically deadly frequencies.
Dar Der Dor is easily resisted by Servants with a high Rank in
Magic Resistance, but has increased effectiveness against Chaotic Servants, and a linearly lower chance of affecting Lawful ones. This Noble Phantasm will always hit and affect a certain Rider, though.
Caster’s legacy was built upon layers of layers of connections, which he used frequently to not only propel himself to the top of the government, but also to efficiently and almost sadistically dismantle his enemies so none can ever hope to approach and topple him, while using those idiots as an example for his other subjects to not fight back, creating a ironclad fortress built upon fear and tyranny.
