In the case of Gramps having existed in the Nasuverse during the same time as the historical Hassan-i Sabbah, he'd have founded the order at the end of the 11th century. Cursed Arm lived, according to the wiki, in the 1200s. This is a gap of about a century, more or less 5-6 generations if I've calculated correctly. It seems my headcanon wasn't off...

But hey, in CA Hassan's profile about Protection of the Wind, it is actually because it is specifically a charm to resist not the wind itself, but the evil spirit of the wind (djinn), thus it seems fitting for these 2 surah to grant it. Also, there's also some tradition which said that these 2 surah can cure sickness and poison; though it seems that they are recited to seek refuge from God from 'all kinds of harm' in general.

The effectiveness of the helmet correlates with just how far her sanity has diminished.
The drawback is that Saber is unable to feel pain. No matter what happens, she'll keep going even if her body is mangled beyond recognition and mind reduced to think of nothing but a burning desire for revenge and, until the end of days, all will hear it, unhappiness against the World itself.
- Ridill (C, Anti-Unit):

Those with the parameter of Endurance higher than C have a chance to negate the sword’s effects, and the higher the rank the more likely it is for one to completely nullify them.

the magical ring cursed to bring misfortune and death to whoever possesses it.
If given a life-threatening injury, Rider is guaranteed to succumb to it eventually.
