Vengeance Built on Bones
Pómsta Buduválo z Kistok
Anti-Fortress, Rank CA Noble Phantasm belonging more to the Zaporozhian Cossacks than Rider himself, but as their leader and someone with a grudge against the Russians, he is granted access to it. It is said that the construction of St. Petersburg cost many lives, including those of the Cossacks sent to aid in the effort. As such, the city is said to be “built on bones”, earning some ire from the Cossacks. Rider himself desires revenge on the Russians for destroying and desecrating his grave multiple times.
Conjuring up the bones of deceased Cossacks, Rider flings them in a barrage that covers a wide area. Though the attack deals insignificant damage, the bones sink into the ground on impact. Where the bones sink, the ground turns into a deadly mire, drawing those standing upon it under the now almost liquid earth. Targets that sink are immediately attacked by the vengeful spirits conjured alongside the bones, causing more damage the greater the degree of submersion. Buildings and fortresses sinking into the mire receive additional damage, allowing the submerged parts to be destroyed completely. The damage is also increased against targets of Russian origin.
Though the primary purpose of this Noble Phantasm is to turn the ground into a swamp using the cursed bones of vengeful Cossacks, it also allows Rider a measure of control over the conjured bones. Usually he uses it to construct a skeletal mount for himself. This skeletal horse is not only fearsome in appearance but also allows Rider to avoid sinking into the ground himself.
The Reply to the Vainglorious Ruler
Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty
Anti-King, Rank B+The legendary reply letter of the Zaporozhian Host to Sultan Mehmed IV of the Ottoman Empire, manifested as a Noble Phantasm. It is a response Noble Phantasm, usable only on a foe that has professed their kingship and glory in Rider’s presence. In essence, Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty punishes the boastful nature often found in Servants that were sovereigns in life.
Taking the form of a string of terrible insults, Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty is an attack which, though magical in nature, strikes the target’s ego. As it is not something that strikes the body or the mind, it has the capability to bypass most forms of Magic Resistance. The target of Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty suffers a double rank-down to their parameters and their Skills and Noble Phantasms born from status or authority will be temporarily sealed. A successful Luck check allows one to avoid the Noble Phantasm sealing effect and reduces the rank-down to a single rank.
As it originated as a letter, it is possible to activate Zaporozhtsi Vidpovisty long after its condition is fulfilled. In this case, Rider simply needs to deliver the message in some form to the target. When the target receives the message, the effect will activate.
The Seven-Headed Dragon
Urus-Shaitan
Anti-Army, Rank B-A Noble Phantasm that Rider considers a gift from his enemies. Derived from his name among the Ottomans, it is in truth something that he created in life to live up to his fell reputation. Translating literally to “War Devil”, he was also said to ride a seven-headed dragon. As his enemies believed such things, Rider saw fit to try and live up to his legend. Starting out as a rather complex Familiar, its age, coupled with Rider’s reputation among his enemies, has made it into something else entirely.
Urus-Shaitan is activated through the same power over bones and spirits as Pómsta Buduválo z Kistok. The bones gather to form the creature, manifesting as a Phantasmal Beast that greatly resembles a seven-headed dragon. Its true form is a Familiar constructed from the various bodies and having the leftover thoughts of Rider’s comrades implanted into it. The result was originally a Familiar that looked frightening but was of little help in battle. As a Noble Phantasm however, Urus-Shaitan boasts actual combat ability that draws frighteningly close to that of true Dragon Kind. Offensive power is the beast’s only trump card, as despite its wings, it is not capable of flight, and its defensive power is severely lacking. Though dangerous on the offense, the monster can be attacked from range to great effect,
As a constructed creature, Urus-Shaitan can be reconstructed should the monstrosity be destroyed, as long as there are pieces of the original remaining. Completely obliterating the creature will remove it from the world permanently. Furthermore, this Noble Phantasm cannot be used at the same time as Pómsta Buduválo z Kistok
