I take it as reference to Imaginary Scramble Gilles explaining that Foreigners aren't heroes of the past, they're heroes of the present, as their legend is continuing in their Foreigner form. But she's definitely getting something new, considering her second interlude is an intro tease to the Theo plot.

I plugged it into a dictionary and it refers directly to the mathematical concept. I'm going to guess that NA took liberties in order to make it "flow better".

And yet last I checked all the Sakura themed CEs retain theirnimaginary numbers derived titles. Weird double standard.

The Sakura CEs can be divided into two types:
1) The ones that are like that because they were named before the loc made up Void Space.
2) The ones that are like that because Nasu put the original Japanese name with Imajinarii in Engrish instead of Kyosuu, as if he was sending a message to the NA about their terminology choices.

I dont remember when they started using Void Space but they didn't always. It was properly Imaginary Numbers in Babylonia, regarding Tiamat.
