As (some of) you may know, there exists a Beast's Lair IRC channel, currently situated on IRCHighway. It has been around since the first forum reorganization (growing it to seven boards, the seventh being called the 7th Dimension). Five years later, we're still kicking around.
The vast majority of us are old-timers of the Beast's Lair forums, either helping to lay down its foundations, build up its fandom, or promote it into the mainstream anime, manga, gaming community. As a result, we have grown into a tight-knit community that has representatives of every major generation of the Beast's Lair forums.
When the 7th Dimension was originally created, it was founded on two rules:
Nothing illegal
Nothing insulting
We strive to live up to the spirit of those rules by adopting a semblance of order, civility, and openness. We're usually quite laidback, and generally try to speak in complete, coherent sentences (even with proper punctuation and capitalization!).
Feel free to stop by and chat in the channel, as we appreciate new blood to add to our community. And, if this recent forum crisis is any indication, we'll all still be around in case EvoSpace needs a staging zone for when forum circumstances and communications zoom beyond his control.

You proved that perfectly. You even ended your sentence, after parentheses, with a period. I hardly ever see that.
As for other problems... I doubt this incarnation of the forum will be going away for a long, long time.
