Try download the newest patch from Mirror Moon and apply it.
Or, to be safe, uninstall and reinstall your Fate, then apply the newest patch.
Sounds like you somehow wound up with the UBW-only patch.

If you're talking about Daemon Tools, then there should be a free version of it on their website. It might even be possible to downgrade the version you're using.

Yeah, they offer a free version as long as you guarantee not to use it for profit or something like that.
You need patch version 3.x. Newest patch is 3.2.
If you have patch 2.whatever then it's gonna be only UBW.
Daemon Tools lite is free. Daemon Tools isn't. and after the game is installed you don't even need Daemon Tools.
