Because I find thematically wrong having events villain stronger than the main ones and I hate things that don't follow the rules of the setting.
Consider its content draught and the starvation of its players. Not that the gameplay is all that good to begin with but.
+ minesweeper is fun
+ self-curse is fun
+ Foreigner Q is a lot more horror-oriented than previous foreigners
+ Yang Guifei is a character that exists now
- Very lazy CGI map. Obviously nothing should be as autistic a waste of effort as Ooku, but do compare it to painted backgrounds of gudaguda 4/5 or the gameboard of Requiem collab. You could argue CCC had less effort put into the maps, but CCC also had several unique stage backgrounds too.
- Two servants, both SSR, the one everyone was looking forward to for two years is a big letdown visually. The other has three different forms that each fight differently even though she's going to see a lot less use. Her third form also looks stupid, but that's not a big deal. But generally, it is obvious that artists were busy elsewhere in this event. I don't need a big beast fight, but it's a problem that nothing is visually impressive like Kiara or Kama were.
- Promised a main story chapter on par with CCC/Ooku/EoR, 200+ days after Olympus. Was a gag story with swimsuit servants where drunk Mashu presses the big self-destruct button on the Nautilus. Big disappointment. Could have been Summer event and no one would have known.
- Foreigner Q's backstory is stupid, which is a big offender since it's the entire premise of the event. The fact that all the other members of the Foreigner Party in the Depths are also scantily clad females does not help take her sob story seriously. This could have been a Holmes event, you know? For the patternfriends.
