It's funny because seemingly half of Nasu's answers to the endless amount of lore questions, are obviously not meant to be taken seriously. At this point, he should just answer them all in a tongue-in-cheek manner because it really doesn't matter anymore since the fanbase will keep shilling for their waifus and husbandos no matter how increasingly nonsensical the worldbuilding becomes.

I am here because that wall of rant hit close to home desu. Type-lunatics are getting snobbier and snobbier as minutes pass. Many people are in the fanbase not for the stories but for "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE MASTERY". You can't even type a single sentence without someone going "hmmmmm akshually!" to compensate for their lack of real life knowledge with the knowledge of make-believe universe. This gets especially bad on discord rp servers where "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE MASTERY" is combined with elitist fedora neckbeards, that are discord mods, trying to compensate for their self-esteem problems with being an authority. Man, I would even prefer if Fou's following furry cult took over the fanbase instead of this pseudo-intellectual bullshit.

I am pretty guilty of what is described above. Altho in my case its not so much snobbery but being an actual nerd with no other modern tastes in fiction besides following this one convoluted ass universe.

But even for myself i dont try and understand things beyond the primary works. Fgo for example has its own fandom with some of the worst parts or the nasuverse baked into its conception. I get the appeal to whales but generally speaking my main issue with tm itself is that it has lost most of the things that attracted me.

Character driven stories that were relatively straightforward and could be followed seems to be too much to ask for the modern nasuverse. And no a hypothetical tsukihime remake doesnt count because i am convinced it will never actually release. Compared to mobile game money there is zero incentive to make a traditional visual novel.
