Also, the fuck are you talkin' 'bout weeblord, Cold Steel was fiiiiiiiine. I mean, I see what you mean about the story getting out of control, but I still liked it.

My opinion on current Trails is very similar to my opinion on current Fate. Its morphed into something that's completely lacking in most of the things that made me fall in love with it in the first place, and all that's left is nuggets of lore and world building. Another thing with Trails is that the flaws caused by the unplanned splitting of Sky into 2 games became series staples and just keep getting worse.

You know what might actually be good if they're not going to just do CS I, show what happened between II and III up in Jaegerville when the Empire annexed it. All we have are still frame flashbacks so far. It would completely lose any first time watchers, but then again F/GO adapted the last 2 of 7 season 1 chapters, so who actually cares.

From Kondos comments it does seem to depict the stuff that happened offscreen. But USERJOY, a gacha game company that developed the Trails gacha game, is on the production committee and commented that theyre developing a game based on the anime. So the gacha fatigued pessimist in me instantly kneejerks and jumps to the conclusion that it is its just some half-assed advertisement for a Cold steel focused gacha game.

So, I was just looking around MAL, checking out the line ups for the next few anime seasons and all, when I ran across this.

Looks like we're getting a Cold Steel anime sometime next year. The really weird part is that they talk about Professor Rean and western part of the contient, which yeah is all Erebonia technically, but much more so in 3. Would somebody actually try and start and anime/OVA series halfway through an arc? Somebody without the infinite money sink that is FGO backing them up?

So has anyone played the new port of Trails from Zero? I thought I'd heard something about a bunch of text being left untranslated, but all I can find about the game is that apparently it runs better on Switch/PC than PS4.
