What happened to the original SC translator was sad but I wouldn't say they're blameless, although that's a separate discussion altogether.

If I remember right a few months ago there was a Zero fantranslation project going on but the thread(and presumably the project itself) was closed down for some reason. Hoping this one'll live longer than that.

I'm a late-comer casual to this series, starting with Trails of Cold Steel I, and I don't regret it. This game is fun, chill, interesting and atmospheric and Towa is Best Girl among a group of best girls. I'd go on and on but I haven't touched the game in months because of university.

Incidentally, this was the video that turned me on to the whole series.

Same with me actually although from a slightly different base. I heard him guesting on a podcast a few weeks before that video and he spent an ungodly amount of time gushing about it. Then that video came out, and like a month later I saw it on sale on PS Plus so I picked it up. It feels remarkably similar to how Tokyo Mirage Sessions did, but with a more fleshed out world. I just started Chapter 5 of Cold Steel yesterday and I'm fully on board. My only gripe is not being able to attend everyone's events since my favourite characters I want to level up often have some very boring side events.

Apparently Aksys is TLing Tokyo Xanadu and releasing it sometime in 2017, sadly it's not eX+ version. Emiru started a playthrough of it but will also play the English version.

Did it feel stiff or loose while playing? Since the Demo went up to Chapter 3 iirc, how was the music from what you could listen to?

I dunno, it's been too long for me to remember my specific impressions, I just know it didn't really grab me. The music was good though, and I can't comment on the plot since the demo I played was just a dungeon run (if there was anything after that I didn't get that far).

One of the concerns over ToCS3 being exclusive to PS4 is the game data going over (levels and bond links), but thankfully Falcom is looking into it.

Kinda, in the prologue there was the moment Rean was in danger but thinks of the person closest to him. And then there's of course different lines whenever you reunite with someone you have a high bond level with.

Atm, I'm in Chapter 2 of the Ruan Region of Liberl for Trails in the Sky. Even though it's naturally slow like all 1st games in the each trilogy, I'm still having a really good time.

I've finally looped around back to the In Media Res prologue in Cold Steel I. Only now I actually understand what the hell is going on and how the battle system works. The miniboss almost wiped me in the pre-game but now I steamrolled those assholes. And it felt so damn good, too.

I didn't notice myself until I went and checked again but for the prologue of CSI, the two characters who later on Class VII aren't in, even though you can use them when you go there the second time round. It's pretty neat.
