I really feel like I watched a different anime on that episode.

Nasu said this in his blog about this episode:
Is he talking about Ereshkigal?冥界の女主人もあれぐらい派手に戦ってほしいのだわ……
We already saw her NP animation tho.
I'm surprised some people thought the animation looked bad. I understand disliking the art style, though I personally thought it looked great, but the animation was excellent, undoubtedly the most effort A-1 has ever put into Apocrypha yet.
Karna not having Brahmastra Kundala, multiple lightning VS attack and Flame tackle in his animation is a sin.
I bet he's actually one of the more interesting one to make animations too, since he is so flashy and has many possibilities
I'd say it's the best animation by A1 that I've watched. In this episode, in terms of animation, Apocrypha surpassed even Occultic;Nine (of course, that's an unfair comparison because O;9 is more of a supernatural mystery show and it naturally can't get as flashy as Karna going all out) and the Persona 3 movies (The best part of the P3 movies is the final fight vs Nyx Avatar and Nyx Avatar was 3DCG, so ep 22 of Apo wins out for being all handdrawn even when it has flashier stuff). Maybe SAO or Birdy Decode may have something with animation of this quality (They're two shows I haven't watched and people say have good animation. Birdy is in my backlog. I don't want to watch SAO).

SAO movie final fight scene is better, but well, it's a movie
Can the guy(s) who animated this episode re do all the battle scenes for the BD pretty please?
I need Achilles in GO so badly. I feel like his actor did a really good job in that scene right before he fought Atalanta too.
And I'm a sucker for EDs playing over scenes of the episode instead of the credits.

Karna truly is the Michael Bay Servant. That Vasavi activation scene was perfect even if I have no idea where the fuck he and Sieg found another empty wasteland to duke it out.
Props for finally getting me to care about Achilles too even if it's just before he died.Him and Atalanta's scene was a nice finisher. Though I gotta say it is kinda funny how the animation style of this episode made him look faster than ever despite him supposedly losing his speed after his heel was struck.
While I still think the last episode has the best fight so far, I can't not enjoy the combination of explosions, random destruction and sappy farewell scenes with emotional music in the background so this was pretty neat.
What I don't get is why Semiramis is suddenly back at her throne after what happened with Mordred and that jet diving right into her though.Did she decide not to kill Astolfo after all and walk away or what ?
Found this comment on youtube about this ep, actually made me laugh: 2ちゃんでカルナとギルガメッシュは同格とか言われてて、それについてとやかくいうつもりは無い けど こんなの見たらカルナに勝てるサーヴァントいないとしか思えないわ
I just want to say that Karna is fucking awesome, Aquiles is fucking awesome and this episode was awesome. Now i need them in FGO.

Just watched the episode so anything I say will just be repeating what others already said but goddamn if anyone told me two weeks ago that the most impressive animation in a Fate anime to date was in a episode of Apocrypha I would never have believed then. Really impressive.
And as much as Higashide fuck up dividing himself between all the characters, I really liked the send off of the last three servants, specially Achilles dialogue before and after the fight, I can finally see the Achilles I saw in the Illiad, both the good and bad parts, and I love it. I specially liked Akhilleus Kosmos activation, though I would've preferred a more interesting design to the shield itself.
Edit:
Also I wonder what Jeanne will see next episode, I hope they explore the idea of her not believing herself to be a saint because she just fought for one country, I really like that about her.
