The Volks Data comes from... Minsk in Belarus. So nope. I don't think they'll die there unless they're going to do the two month something slug before they actually hit the hive.

Always nice to see some more Muv Luv adaptations; and an adaptation with a premise more interesting than just copying the USN TOPGUN and USAF Red Flag exercises in Muv-Luv.

Also, Volk was in the late 70s, and Schwarzesmarken is in the early 80s, so I'm pretty sure they didn't die in the Minsk Hive.

It's funny that since it's MuvLuv everyone assumes they died somewhere in the end lol. It'll be a huge twist if the team ends up surviving until the end.

Okay, if I recall right the Volk Data was obtained by Soviet Army's Volk Regiment from Minsk Hive in 1978 after NATO and the Warsaw Pact spend two months bashing away at BETA in a war of attrition.

After this the massive BETA counterattack causes the front line to collapse and the USSR who retreat east are cut off from their WarPac allies who retreat west with NATO. The Western Front is reestablished at the East Germany/Polish border where the DDR builds the Oder-Neisse Line.

This takes us to Schwarzesmarken set in the DDR in 1983 five years after the Volk Regiment did their thing. The final defense line is barely holding on and the Stasi are keeping a close watch on the NVA looking for dissidents.

They were Soviet, presumed a few Russians. The main attack with the combined EU/NATO forces was a diversion for the Warsaw-Pact/Soviet-led infiltration forces. It went on for 2 or 3 months, but eventually both lines crumbled.
