You are right about that. The Manga is kinda messed up after 2nd Act, or was it after Wallachia. I forgot. In point, MBAA did a better storytelling of Ries than the Manga.
It's stupid to think that 2nd Act was gonna make some sense with the plot. It's a goddamn gag manga.
You know. I could make about maybe 5 reasons of why the manga was bad. But well, I'm not going to say it yet.
