I actually have a few ideas from the text dump.
Firstly, there will be limits to inheritance. Some skills can't be inherited due to weapon restrictions or movement type restrictions. Can't think of any examples though.

Another is that some skills can't be inherited since they're personal/unique skills.

The 2nd one is most likely skills like Dance or Sing because it'd be dumb if it's inheritable. Pray that Desperation is not unique because only Shanna has it atm.

I imagine Smite will fall under movement speed restrictions, because Effie is the only unit I know that gets it and she's got 1 movement so the longer distance is there to make up for her lack of movement speed.

After complaining about it for days I just beat the Hard version of the F!Robin map. And all I had to do was swap my placement of Lucina and Fir when drawing out the enemy. I'm so stupid sometimes, I can't believe it took me that long to figure that out.

So to get the "true" version of Roy. I'd need to cannibalize Distant Counter, Renewal as the heal that the Sword of Seals provides and some sort of "dragon slayer" skill that doesn't exist yet. It's pretty entertaining to see how many skill slots the Sword of Seals would consume by itself in this game just to give Roy it's skill set from Binding Blade. Also one of these would require me to obtain Hector and then sacrifice him, which I wouldn't do unless I somehow got 2 but it's interesting to think about how to unlock the Sword Of Seals full potential. Still I've got to say Marth, Lucina and Chrom getting the dragon slayer effect, which is already great, makes me wish they gave Roy at least the healing effect as well. I know they get it because there are only a few dragons, but all dragons are pretty good and are a pretty common sight so that point is somewhat moot.

Come to think of it does the +2 Def/Res stack with Rally Defense/Resistance or Fortify Defense/Resistance?

Xander also gets it, but don't remind me of that bias. I'm still pretty... Upset that Roy doesn't get his built in distant counter, but just gets his +5 Def/Res from the Sword of Seals "nerfed" to +2.

I mean, Julia got her +20 SKL/SPD/DEF/RES nerfed to DEF/RES +5 so... it could be worse.

Actually it's +2 Def/Res when attacked. +5 Def/Res and bonus damage to dragons was in a different game. That being said I wouldn't have minded if she got her speed and skill bonus intact, but on the other hand at least she got her bonus damage to dragons. Still Seliph, Yulia and Roy in my opinion are worse off than the Falchion users when it comes to an accurate portrayal of their weapons.

Eliwood's Durandal giving him +5 attack when attacking is accurate enough, although I suppose a permanent +5 would've been too good. Hector decided that Seliph should get his weapon bonus and made up his own one while I dunno using hand axes or tomahawks to counterattack distant enemies. Lyn also ditched the Sol Katti's bonus for something better and it's overall better than before. Eirika and Ephraim are weird cases, instead of doing more damage themselves they enable others to do more damage now.

Overall it's a pretty good representation, but there's some bumps on the road so to say.

Given that Lucina is the most popular Falchion user and is also the best one it wouldn't surprise me if Ike got both maybe instead +5 Def it would just be +2 or something.

I still hope that the special versions will be Lyn as a bow user, Ike as an Axe user, Lucina as a lance user and Roy... With a better Sword of Seals, because he only uses swords. Granted, I would be somewhat annoyed that I probably won't get the best version of Roy, but at least it would exist and hopefully these won't be limited either.

Oh well I'll just forge on with Roy even if he falls short compared to most lords in this game so far. The only other sword users I would swap Roy out for would be the Lyn if I can get her or the special version of Roy if I can get that one.

Well it's not like you can pull Xander so you need to check his weapon on Lunatic to know that, because of that info about him is a bit sparse at the moment.

I also already said that Xander also has it on his weapon, although I suppose I wasn't clear enough about that. Sorry about that.

Finally managed to do a deathless run, netting me 4480 score.

Julia is awesome, and I've begun to realize that Lyn is my MVP along with Ryoma. Wouldn't be able to do this well if I opted with Eirika instead of returning to Lyn.

Tomorrow is promotion time! Though I am bit torn on who should spend my hard earned 20k feathers. I would appreciate some opinions.

Nowi: Most obvious choice she is all great and being lv.37 she has lot of SP hoarded, just waiting to be spend. Unfortunately she is not that good against swords as everyone and their grandmothers have Falchions...

Shareena: I quite like her and her -4 atk AoE sound really nice. She is barely lv.20 so I wouldn't loose any fighting power. Also getting second strong lance unit might give me better shot on lance quests.

Olivia: Bit oddball, I already have lot of gold swords, but her dancing ability is something I can't go without, yet being under leveled 4* she is weak link of team and tend to be one shoted by first unit that get chance.

I hope we will get some alternative way farming feathers soon...

If it were me, I'd go with Sharena (which I will, once the season ends). Nowi is a bit eh for the reason you spokeof, and also, Julia is running amok in the Arena destroying everything Blue atm. Olivia should be good enough as is since she has everything available at that point.
