I mean, sometimes you just gotta take a game/product/franchise for what it is, but I guess I get it, I'm usually really frustrated with comics when they fuck up what I consider good premises because of the tastes or opinions of the writers (looking at you whoever wrote spider-man tie-ins to the first civil war series. Yeah, let's take the nuanced personality and conflict of Iron Man's decisions in the main book and turn it into black and white fascism because you don't like the idea of it or whatever)

Objection! Outside of that ill-conceived scene where Ilya mounts Shirou, most of their relationship is fraternal, not romantic. It was Hollow Ataraxia which played up romantic feelings between them, and even then they were all on Ilya's side, and were mostly played for comedy anyway.

Honestly, the novel was terrible when it came to sex, from the contrived "we have to fuck or we're going to die!" to the awful "see, we're saying she has the body of a 14-year old, but she's actually an adult, she's totally legal!", with various other things in between, so yeah, we knew what it was. I'm just having too much fun with the objections.

Prilya's lolicon shit is still especially disgusting, though.

Seriously though, that's pretty much the advice I can give you. You can farm individually, but the high end nodes for both factions now are mainly for Shop mats rather than points. time to farm points was either last week, or all onto the Westernization FQ for both at once.

in the VN there is a bad end where Ilya rapes shirou. The following taiga dojo notes that this scene was originally supposed to be more delved into and have an erotic CG, they just ran out of money.

Is it weird that even though Medea and Sakura are so similar, I'd love a theoretical Medea route, but the existing Sakura route does nothing for me? (Except for the fights. And all the Rider. And Illya. And Kirei.)

Makes me remember in a Taiga Dojo that it was mentioned a hypothetical Medea route, but that the idea was to make her a depowered loli. So, we'd have gotten our first "Lily" way back when if that had been an actual thing.

Rejected Routes [Other]

Exactly what it sounds like. Route ideas that didn't make the cut.

In the beginning, the plan was for Fate/stay night to have four different routes, one for each heroine.

It would start off by letting the player arbitrarily choose between playing as either Shirou or Rin. Then around the middle of the story they would finally meet, and after that you would branch off into one of the four routes for the last half of the game. Yeah, I don't really understand how it was going to work either.

Anyway, getting back to the rejected routes, it goes without saying that the Illya route tops the list. Besides that, there was also the "Rider route where you fight against Rin and Saber", and the "Caster route where Caster gets turned into a loli and becomes your partner".

While all traces of the Caster route were completely erased, the development where you teamed up with Rider was actually folded into part of the final story.

If the Illya route had made it into the game, the diversion point probably would have been on the ninth day of the Sakura route. Instead of choosing between being a superhero and choosing Sakura, there would be a third choice where you could choose Illya.

But unfortunately, as it stands that choice doesn't exist.
