These Remnants are getting really good at making me want to roll their MC. 2/3 so far, with Agartha as the outlier (even though she still spooked me during Summer rolls).

That last boss fight was a challenge only because I was expecting a Ruler so I brought Jalter and the buff squad (Waver and support Merlin), but forgot about the defuff on the NP and ended up lasting it out with Squirtoria and NP looping the last health bar off.

shuten being shuten was explicitly a nightmare here, but on the other hand, Guda contracted with a little honest to god demon king. What the hell did we expect?! As someone once eloquently noted when Alipheese threatened to eat me

I agree 100%. always loved Shuten but shes usually underutilized as a borderline gag character, this is easily her best showing. And what a showing it was.

I decided to go a different way than I normally do to beat the Sorcerer. Usually I'd throw my Merlin and 2 other powerhouses like Herc and someone else, but with the enemy's NP being what it is, I decided to just super buff BB and go absolute ham on him.

For how that worked, I had BB as the damage dealer with Summertime Mistress, a Support Waver, Tamamo with 2030 as the frontline, Paracelsus with Golden Carp, Mozart with Guda Guda Poster Girl, and lastly Herc in the far back with an MLB'd K-Scope should I need him. Essentially started with all of the Waver buffs, swapped out for Mozart, used his Arts+ and instant 50 Crit stars skills, Tamamo Arts+, than burned the Sorcerer's first bar down with BB's NP. Boss kills off Mozart because of Taunt, than brings in Paracelsus for another Arts+ buff. Burn his 2nd bar down with BB's NP and Self-Modification Crit Boosts to recharge her NP yet again, and than finally burned the 3rd bar off with another of the same combo. Kind of got interesting on that last turn as the Boss used his Charge skill twice in a row and than NP'd to kill off Para and Tamamo, leaving me with BB and Herc for the last turn, but it was fun trying to meta-game a boss rather than attempt to faceroll with Merlin's cheesiness.

Annoying buff removal aside, his typical NP damage is really pitiful, even my un-Foued BB can tank it without issue and heal it back with Potnia Theron. It might have gotten a bit dicy with his NP damage buff from Baptism Rites but thanks to the double stun (Yes, apparently Mental Debuff Immunity doesn't protect from that... you figure it out) that was never an issue. Surprisingly easy for a two break bar, final boss-style fight.

Doesn't mental debuff immunity only apply to a very few number of debuffs though? I thought it was mostly for Charm and shit like that :|

I ended up bringing a support BB since it turns out I actually don’t have a max level of that class. I didn’t really know what was coming so I think I ended up bringing tamamo and raikou.

(I really should stop putting raikou in for boss fights but I just can’t help it.)

anyway my back up was Jeanne which was less effective then I might have hoped considering his affinity advantage against ruler’s and anti-invincible noble phantasm. (If I had known about the latter and processed the former I would have brought mash instead. Eh) finally a taiga whose strong but only had a weak CE since my last spot was filled by musashi for bond points. Ended up having him down to about 100k. Problem he had a NP in the chamber and I had no way to stop it. When it hit it was going to wipe out everyone I had on the board. Meaning I would have been trying to figure out how to deal about 70k damage with a like, level 40 saber with no class advantage or CE.

ckuld have just restarted, but figured “eh, fuck it” and then used my last CS to pump out one last BB NP. GG for all.

I kind of feel like I over-prepared. I brought BB and Waver with a support Merlin, so BB had absolutely disgusting levels of crit damage and NP gen.

I got 4 servants from the Shimousa banners and 3 off than are stuck at 2nd asc because i'm low on mats.

And my exp stock won't be enough to max than anyway. only 300ish left in the gift box, soon i'll have to hit some hands again.
