Hmm, does anyone know how Gawain fares against Saber Alter after he gets buffed? Does his NP hit harder? Suzuha's NP doesn't.

Salter will still out-NP Gawain, but that's her only gimmick. The rest of her kit very much screams launch Saber design. You're liable to get spooked by Altera, Artoria, or Mordred eventually, who all have better kits and will outdamage or match Salter with their NP interludes.

Gawain's niche is that even though his NP hits like a wet noodle, he does a shitload of damage consistently with his face cards. Keep in mind that your typical AOE Buster NP Saber has a Mana Burst + Charisma combo for a 1.5*1.2=1.8 Buster card buff for a single turn that drops off to a general 1.2 damage buff for 3 turns.

Gawain gets to keep his 1.4*1.3=1.82 Buster buff for 3 turns instead of 1, and when he isn't using Buster cards, he's still getting a 1.4 general damage buff almost on-par with a 1-turn Monstrous Buff steroid (i.e. Kintoki, Gorgon) that lasts 3 turns. And since Gawain has a BBB deck and his damage buffs are on a 5 turn cooldown, he'll be doing stupid amounts of damage for 60% of the turns that he's fielded.

Grab Gawain if you want a Buster Gorilla who can hit neutral mobs with Berserker-level output in a Saber class. Go for Salter if you're looking for pure NP damage.

But if you can get NP2 Gawain, you'll fix his main weakness. Getting NP2 Salter won't fix her terrible kit.

At the end of last year I would have gone for Yagyu Munenori, as I needed a strong saber and being an Art one meant I could use Tamamo, or Gorgon, as I have only the 2 star avenger. They are both also limited to when I could roll for them. However during my failed Hokusai roll I did summon Avenger of Shinjuku, so I don't need an Avenger, and Siegfried as well as five star Altria Pendragon, so I now have some strong Saber though I will need to use Merlin. So I looked to see suggestion and though Lancelot beserker and Parvati are recommended the first is not limited and I have 2 5 star Lancer so I'm not eager for another. Then I realize one other thing I'd like and that to unlock all Tamamo casters dialog. To do that I need 2 servants Lizz lancer and Nero saber. Lizz has the chance to spook me but Nero is limited, plus she is an arts Saber so Tama works with her though she may not be as good for Boss fights as Yagyu but in a worst case I have Altria to fall back on. So in the end I'll choose Nero as my free 4 star.

Alright I've grinded enough for 20/20 boxes. I planned to get to at least 25, but I struggled to find the drive to get the last 2 of each so I'm done. I might push for it after work today, could do it since I'll have 2.5 hours until the end of the event at that point, but for now I think I'm done.

I only recently got her, but I realized her supportive kit + NP gain was the piece I was missing against Jeanne. She was worth the 10/10/10!

Yeah, Penth is really good.

She's like a 4* Kintoki with a worse battery for farming (50% instant > 60% 3-turn), but way better team utility.

I've got the minimum 10/10 boxes, so now I'm going to combine all my lose Scholars and switch to a team that lets me do wave clears. +20 bonus was nice but a hassle when I only had a few minutes on break.

Thinking about the free SR again tonight, and is Sheba a significant improvement over Medea as a ST Caster? Because Medea is really my only option for that so if an upgrade is available I may as well take it.
I usually just use Herc on Assassins

When it comes to damage, Sheba is better. Not only does her NP hit harder, but she has a 100% Crit buff, which is really good even if it lasts just 1 turn.

Yes you can. The only SRs you can pick are the limited ones, so just Summer and Passionlip.

I already have Salter, and she's decently useful in farming set-up since her NP wipes a wave easily and I usually combine her with Saberlot, I'm mostly afraid Gawain would be completely useless.

Well, I'm still undecided between him, Yagyu, Medea Lily and Tristan. The last two I would mostly get for gameplay reasons, while on other hand I prefer the first two but I feel they'd be redundant with my current servants. I'm not going to roll for Skadi seriously for now since I doubt I'll have the quartz, so no Parvati for now (Plus I have Edmond NP1 anyway).

Medea Lily isn't a Servant you need often, but when you do, she's a lifesaver. Strong AoE heal+ debuff clear+ debuff resist on NP is pretty great, and between Rapid Words of the Divine and a 3-arts deck she can get it off decently often.
