Hm. They're supposed to be *exceptional*, not necessarily the best. One would think that larger-than-life people would also have larger-than-life regrets (like, say, "I want to erase myself from existence because I firmly believe literally anyone else would have been a better rule for Britain").

Hm, true enough. Even so, getting this version kind of ticks off their names on the checklist of possible heroes, so us getting crap loli Wu & Choco Doormat does basically mean the chances of us getting the intelligent & cool versions drop like rocks.

Yep. Whoever made her and Wu needs to be fired, or at least forcibly put through a course on writing characters. Heroic Spirits are supposed to be the best humanity can be, not bad caricatures, one-note jokes and traumatised victims.

You know, I hear a lot of complaints about Altera being Attilla in name only, and I do believe a majority of the complains are fairly valid, (with the caveat that I haven't played extella and thus know the full details of her backstory so the connection might be mindblowingly brilliant for all I know). However, that does beg the question, would there have been a better Heroic spirit she could have "been" such that her backstory and IRL historical identity meshes better?

That was seriously close. When I got this account from another Beast Lair member, one of the things I noticed apart of how good this account is was the fact that Georgius was Bond 5. After a very long time, he's finally at Bond 10 ready for LB4. Thank god Case Files raid happened, otherwise I doubt I would have reached on time.

I mean, Iron Man with a steampunk Reality Marble is something of a weird concept for the franchise, but the character himself isn't treated as a joke even when he's involved in joke events (like Summer). Have you read the parts with him in the Case Files event? "I'm going to give up the perfect world for which I longed my whole life and continue to long for even as a Servant because it's the right thing to do" very much feels like an example of "representing humanity's best".

I'm not sure about his character specifically, but how much steampunk is emphasized in his design and abilities feels odd when the RL Babbage's focus was computers, not steam. He wanted calculations done on steam because that was the most advanced technology of his era, not because he had a boner for steam specifically. To me the Analytic or Difference Engine would've made more sense as his NP rather than "steampunk Reality Marble". But maybe we'll get Ada Lovelace sometime instead as a proper Servant of the digital era. It'd be certainly interesting to see their interactions.

He got a few good lines in the Case Files event and nowhere else (you cannot tell me with a straight face you consider him transform-and-roll-out-ing as a locomotive in Summer 2 not to be a joke) but his concept is inherently ridiculous through and through.

Now that you mention it, I noticed the second banner consists of one limited and two story-locked. Guess it's a pattern going forward. Just tried some rolls myself, and got Tell. Pretty cool grandpa.

Huh, looking back, this picks up directly after Ooku with Goredolf shaping up again after eating so much after that event. Then there's Parvati's mention of Ganesha and promise to send someone to help Guda in LB4.

After that, probably will have to skip Guda4 banner if I want to attempt Da Vinci Lily, though I might skip it and Summer3Re for Summer 4. Ugh these months are murder for desire and limited funds at this time of year for me.
