I feel like we're drifting from "a map that guides humanity to a more prosperous future" now.
2 years behind in story/content and a smaller playerbase is a lot to get around, especially if you already have a dedicated JP account. Really wonder how well this will do.

For a game which is marketed primarily on its voluminous story, most people won't bother to play a game they can't read.
Ah but they can't understand the marketing, either, so they just play it for the cute grills, undeterred.

I'll probably either make an alt or find someway to download datamine english script just to reread the story in English with weird localized terms
I dont think many people who are already playing would start over, and I don't know if the amount of new people would be enough for them to keep it afloat.
Especially since many people who knows and watch Fate stuffs don't read the VN/LN already

I think it will do okay at first. My feeling is that most people didn't bother to begin with.
But dunno how long it can stay profitable.
Maybe I'm just pessimistic but I don't think Fate is that big outside of Japan to draw in a sizable new audience.
I mean most people who actually are interested have already played in the Japanese server, and I bet most of them won't start over, or at the very least, won't spend much money if at all on a completely new account
I will make new account on NA server, grab free Tamamo Cat and only play with just that to collect all the possible quartz to roll every time Tamamo is on rate up. I'll see if I can get her to NP5 as f2p over there.
Still gonna keep playing my JP account obviously.
Fate is quite niche from what I understand(admittedly quite limited), but I have to disagree with the second part. I know quite a few people who are interested in the game but won't get into it because of lack of accesibility and no english translation.
The big question to me is how many actual spenders will they get. An all F2P playerbase won't do them much good, Westerners tend to be more wary of gacha games than Japanese in my experience, and a lot of TM fans with lots of disposable money are already heavily invested in the JP version.
