All of those are available in the guaranteed SR gacha you do as part of the tutorial so a lot of people will have them.
It does take quite a while to build up a good roster, so the first few SRs you get tend to carry you for a while. Liz was my go-to AOE Lancer until Christmas 3 came around.

For Sabers is even worse, in the first years (until Suzuka entered the starting pool) the only non SSR AoE Sabers were Siegfried and Fergus.

I can tell Herc is there because people want his Bond CE. I did so too.
I still don't have a better aoe Archer than Emiya.
Nyatlanta was my go-to until I got a SSR recently, even before Skadi, since she also has that party wide 50% Quick buff. Made her a great pairing with Scathach, and that NP also giving 50 stars every time really makes some final waves hit for crazy damage.

I already have NP1 but I want one more copy so that she can do better damage. After this banner I will save for Castoria and Summer Kiara NP2 so that I can farm the nodes.
I still rather un-fondly remember a stretch of some months where my only usable Lancer was Diarmuid, because I couldn't even get Cu to show up in FP gacha. Then Liz did me a solid and showed up to pick up the slack for a couple of weeks before I got Karna in my first GSSR.

As someone who has her (if unwittingly) at NP3, I can say she's definitely worth the investment, Caster class and everything.

Not to mention that her Np also has an added Pierce Invul on it, so no matter how much the assassin's want to evade, they can't. It's saved my ass so many times in CQ's.
