    The contrast between Fate Zero and Fate Stay Night.

    I wasn't lying with what I said last post!

    That being said, which one do you prefer? Fate Zero, the ever so popular prequel, or Fate Stay Night, the just as popular Nasu work?


    I always found it interesting how these two differed with each other, one was tragic and filled with despair, while the other was epic, and filled with hope. Kind of why I prefer FSN XD.

    What do you guys think? Which one do you like more and why?

    Zero does the legendary-death-match aspect of the franchise better in my eyes, but Stay Night succeeds on the better characterization and development.

    Then again, I might come down a bit softer on Zero if Stay Night had not come first. Kerry's arc was a retread of Shirou and Archer's struggle in UBW, even if it was one man coming to the conclusion in real-tme instead of the same guy arguing with himself from two different perspectives. By the same token, Kirei's descent might have shocked me as an unexpected twist if we didn't already have the destination in mind.
