To be honest i must deeper see into the Points but i would like to start the first new prompt with instead of creating original characters in to using real Persons as many Caster servants were Mages in life Have i thought .

I think that'd mostly take away what distinguishes this thread from the Servant one. Though I do recall one person writing a Tomas Pinpin sheet in the other Mage thread with the note he does qualify as a Heroic Spirit...

okay i will do this but i will wait after the servant contest which will soon start to evade a collision or what would you suggest i think its the best ?

I have the time to organize this again if enough people are interested.

If you want to post feedback in this thread, that would be welcome too.
Will probably start a new thread if this ever takes off again.

Based on the workshopping above, the main obstacles mentioned were
1) Magi shafted in favor of Servants (cough elmellon) in canon make it difficult to engage with magi creation.
2) Difficult to make magi (I don't understand how to write magecraft).
3) Contest prompts were sometimes too technical rather than character driven e.g Curses vs Spellcaster

Hm. I put it in the form too, but it might be worth putting it out here.

Is it worth coming up with a framework to normalise the interconnection of characters, as elements in a common world? We don't have an established history or folklore to draw on as a baseline, so perhaps it's worth it to substitute that with an option to fit sets of these characters together like a jigsaw? The main draw that a Magus has over a Servant, besides the additional freedom, is that they're alive, so there's a lot of potential for interaction here.

One thought that came to mind was that prompts could be thematic, and the idea would be that the characters for each round would form a cast for a hypothetical story about that theme. But that might require a little more cooperation than a "contest" would imply...

Maybe a mage research group? The Dammerung Initiative or osmething.

As a novice my immediate idea was to make prompts like
"Department of Botany" or Mineralogy
Or perhaps per major branch of magecraft. But with each contest some of the organizers create a lesson about that branch and list of canon and fanmade examples so its easier for newcomers and noobs like me to get a feel for it and not feel overwhelmed with researching it on your own

we could do perhaps also prompts like Atlas Mage , like you said from certain Departments , perhaps bit abstract making a Brand level Mage or a Mage oft he Wandering Sea ?
