I was originally gonna go with Tubalcain to be thematic then I found an old sheet in my google drive. Then I remade it.... and then I decided it fit perfectly.

How could Fenrir not be perfect for this?

So yeah. Meet the wolf that killed Odin.

    The monster of norse mythology.

    See you at the end.

    Life.

    What was its worth?

    She did not know.

When she was born she knew nothing.

When she was brought to Asgard, she knew nothing.

When she was given to Tyr, she knew nothing.

When she was shackled, she knew nothing.

When she took Tyr’s hand in accordance with their bargain she knew nothing.

When finally she was sealed away, bound and tortured, she knew nothing.

She knew nothing. Told nothing. Explained nothing.

She might as well have been nothing.

Yet she refused to be nothing.

She tried again and again to be more.

Each time was only met with fear and hatred.

Only Tyr ever treated her as more than a thing. A pet. A monster.

Yet, in the end, even he betrayed her.

In the end, she could only trust herself.

So why wouldn’t she destroy the one who made the world reject her?

Why wouldn’t she kill Odin, father of the world?

    History

My first memory…. Would have to be the frigid wastes.

I don’t remember why or how I just recall my life began there. For once my belly was full and I was sated. Yet those around me were afraid. As if I would eat them next which wasn’t true. I was full so there was no need. Then my father came and picked me up and took me to what should have been my home.

    I know the truth now.

It was just a prison. I have no place to call home.

Asgard was a brilliant, shining city and everyone seemed nice. They treated me like a child but that was fine. I was. My father kept me well fed and I loved him for it. Days passed in peace and happiness.

    Sounds nice, right?

Let me tell you the part you know.

I recall it well. It was innocent fun at first. A challenge to break irons. I always loved roughhousing and thought this was them being safe because I had gotten rather big. I didn’t mind. It was fun. Though disappointing. It broke in two kicks.

    Days more passed.

Then they brought more. Apparently, making these were hard and I felt bad. I asked if it was really alright for me to play like this and they insisted it was fine. So I tried again. My kicks weren’t enough but when I shook my entire body it broke. I apologized because they seemed mad but they claimed it was fine.

    Then it came.

I remember the ribbon well. It was so beautiful. They wanted to put it on me. Frankly, if I had been my naive self, I’d have fallen for it. However my sister had warned me of their intent. I didn’t believe her but promised to put my own test forth to balance things.

It was just a simple challenge I knew they’d pass.

‘Sure, put it on me… just one of you put your hand in my mouth. That way if I get stuck I won’t starve. Surely that’s fine?’

Only my father was brave enough to step forward. Since it was him, I knew I had nothing to worry about. It’s my father! Surely he wouldn’t betray me, right!? Those foolish thoughts of love filled my head as I was bound by the ribbon. It was weird and I wanted to stop but he was upholding his end of the deal so I behaved.

    You know what happens next.

    It’s the only natural result.

My father did not order them to release me. They did not release me. They refused to listen to my pleas… and then my father looked at me in the eyes. I knew what he’d done… and so I took his hand as my food.

I was dragged to some strange island far from home. There they put me in a deep hole. They shoved swords into my and hung rocks from the ribbon to weigh me down, as if the ribbon wasn’t enough. They shouted insults and scorn at me. They claimed I was a monster. All I had done? Eat their food with them at the table and grow.

To say I was mad is an understatement. I think that was when I truly became a monster. I vowed to devour every asgardian I ever met again. I managed to eat dozens of them in the war after I broke free. Then I met him.

    Odin.

I knew his power would aid me so I took it. I fought him off his horse, I pried his armor off, I broke his fancy stick, I plucked out his good eye, and then I had my meal. I remember the taste of his flesh well. Like the fresh grass of a beautiful spring.

Then, next thing I know, his son ripped my head in half and that was that.

    So that’s my story, master.

If you’re wise, you’ll have learned the moral of the story. Don’t piss me off. Otherwise, I’ll eat you too.

    Class Skills

    Magic Resistance
    EX

A class skill granted to Rider servants.

Fenrir has it at a peculiar rank for a specific reason. They are meant to be the one to slay Odin, who wields the Primordial Runes, magecraft said to be infinitely close to Magic. Naturally, as the one destined to slay him she was born immune to such magecraft.

As a servant this immunity to primordial magecrafts, that is magecraft originating from the Age of Gods, remains.

Technically, there is a loophole with this skill. She is naturally invincible against ancient mystics, but modern power does not receive the same treatment. Magecraft developed in the Age of Man can technically affect her. The problem arises from a single fact.

She resists modern magecraft, such as modern magecraft theories, utilizing the same method as modern magus; through sheer volume of mana within herself.

    Riding
    EX

The staple skill of Rider class servants.

Fenrir has it for a different reason. Unlike normal Rider servants who ride a mount, she is to be ridden by her master. When this is done, she receives a rank up to all of her parameters and their master receives total immunity to her skills.

However she generally refuses to allow this.

She generally refuses out of an innate distrust. Due to the actions of Tyr, she believes she can only trust herself. As such she treats her master less as a superior to trust and more as a burdensome supply. If not for the fact that she needs her master, she would do away with them entirely.

Only a master that has earned, somehow, her trust will be allowed to ride her. A command spell can be used to force the issue, but due to other factors and the resentment this would spawn most will not.

    Divinity
    X

Normally, Fenrir would have just a moderate rank in this skill. She is the daughter of an important god and is an important god herself. Yet three factors render this skill sealed. Half her blood belonging to the mother of monsters, being a monster herself, and her own rejection of divinity.

These have dried any drop of divinity within her veins.

    Personal Skills
    Winds of Niflheim
    A+

A skill derived from her devouring parts of Niflheim, the frigid home of the Jotuns.

A lost piece of mythology, it is derived from when she as a child devoured parts of Niflheim out of hunger. This occurred before she was adopted by Tyr. The giants pleaded with Odin to stop her and so Tyr was sent to take care of it. Tyr opted to, rather than kill her, adopt her and feed her properly. An act she remembers fondly and made her regard him as father even after his betrayal.

This skill contains within Fenrir's stomach the frigid blizzards that are a constant in Niflheim.

Normally she can utilize this skill in a similar way to Breath of the Dragon and Mana Burst. That is she enhances her physical body with the frigid cold of Niflheim, and can unleash a torrent of mana utilizing the blizzard within her stomach. However she cannot properly utilize this skill due to her noble phantasm sealing it.

That is, her control over this skill is sealed by the fetter Dromi. Until it is broken, she cannot utilize it properly. The only benefit she gains is an immunity to non-divine fire, heat, or sun attacks. Once it is freed however her noble phantasm enhances it with the concept used to forge Dromi. That is the concept of Unbreaking.

This concept grants Fenrir the effect of being immune to attacks lower ranked than their Mana.

    Soul Eater
    B+

A skill derived from a simple fact about Fenrir's existence.

That she grew through the act of devouring.

She devoured Niflheim and she grew. She devoured the food of the Aesir, and she grew. When she bit off and devoured the hand of Tyr for his betrayal, she grew even further. To them devouring was always an act of growing stronger. This is unchanged as a servant.

This skill allows them to convert anything they eat into magical energy, the quality determining how much magical energy they gain. They could eat mere concrete and squeeze out some units of mana from it. If what they devoured was innately magical, they may develop an ability from it. It is how they gained their ice powers seperate from their authority; by devouring Niflheim.

However this skill is sealed by the restraints of the fetter Leyding.

Until it is released, she cannot use this skill. Once released however not only can she utilize it but the skill gains an additional capability from the concept used to forge Leyding (Strength). It allows Fenrir to freely switch the ranks of her parameters akin to the skill Transfigure but instead utilizing their own ranks rather than ones determined by the Planet.

    Beast of War
    A

An authority Fenrir was born with in life.

While not a god as a servant she can wield this authority due to how interwoven the killing of gods is to her legend. This is because the authority she wielded in life was a God-Killing Authority. It allowed her to bypass and pierce through any and all Divine Protections regardless of their source.

Yet due to her noble phantasm this too is sealed away by the fetter Gleipnir.

Similar to other skills this skill enhances when Gleipnir is released. Due to being made from the concept of 'Impossibility' it grants Fenrir an amazing enhancement; that is it grants her the effects of Pioneer of the Stars despite not qualifying for it.

That is through this skill, nothing is impossible for her.

    Personality

    Fenrir does not trust anyone.

This is because of her life, in her view, being built on lies. Not an inaccurate view either.

Yet she does not cry at her fate, instead she rages. Her wish is an entirely selfish one and she will admit as much. She wishes to return to that time and kill the man who killed her and continue her rampage. She wishes to follow through on her promise to devour every Asgardian to the last. She wants no survivors.

Whether this is her true wish or not is entirely debatable.

Yet she is not as heartless as she'll make herself out to be. She wants to love, she wants to have fun, she wants to enjoy life. She simply took the words of those that betrayed her seriously. She earnestly believes herself a monster and so conducts herself as such. She will, even though she doesn't want or like to, kill and devour anyone that even slightly sours her mood or inconviences her.

This is what makes it so hard to bond with Fenrir.

In the end, she does not even trust herself.

She believes even she will betray herself.

To think you'd even release one fetter... nevermind contemplate the second. I am unworthy. If it was for power, I'd understand but we are unthreatened. So don't bother... I don't deserve your trust.

    Master
    Bond 10

... Master. Why? Why do you show so much trust? I am a monster... no the monster of myths. I can't be trusted and yet.... thank you. Truly. Perhaps you... can be trusted after all. With my dream... all I've ever wanted... was a home... but I know better than to hope. After all... I am just a monster that devours what she loves without mercy or remorse.

    Loki=Rod
... I don't know who that stranger is, but they smell familiar... oh well. Probably someone I ate. I like their smell though... maybe I'll eat them again.

    Odin
Ah! This smell! This scent! I know it well, I know it fondly! It's him, it's him the Allfather! It is time to eat, it is time to devour! My best, most favorite meal is here! Come master... It is time to eat!

    Hamlet
Hehehe! One like me, one like me! You should not exist, yet you do! You were hated and tossed aside yet you refused! Like me, like me!

    Diomedes
Hm. I... don't know what to make of her. She... reminds me of someone. I can't... recall who.... perhaps.... perhaps the one who killed me...? No. They were... what were they? Grrrr... Fenrir is confused now. I don't like them, they confuse me!

    Amleth Aurvandilsson
Are you a monster in human flesh or a human pretending to be a mere monster? If you truly were a bear, a wolf... then you'd devour even those you love until nothing remained. Yes... if I were you, be merely a human playing at monsterhood. Being a monster is not for you, young cub for even in the throes of wrath you love, right?

    Raden Japang
I cannot understand you... or is it that I refuse? Whatever! I'll just eat you, then maybe I will!

    Rufus
Similar... but not like us. You do not want to kill. You do not want to feast... you do not devour what you kill nor what you love. You are not a monster. Even if you kill by mistake, at least it is a mistake... at least you do not kill for killing's sake.

    Hou Yi
Hm. A monster-slayer? Perhaps... divine slayer? Definitely.... heh. Either way. Let us... shall we dance? Yes a dance of death. Winner eats all!

    Scorpion and Frog
Grrr! Begone! Before I devour you both! How dare you walk first in line! I am superior so I should be first!

    Vali
What will you do, Odinson? The monster Fenris stands before you as an ally... yet you know my nature. I kill those that upset me, and I devour that which I love. You know the danger I represent... so what will you do, Odinson? Shall you try to be like your brother and slay me? Or perhaps your father... and be my meal?

    La Voisin
... Can... can I have some? You know... that... liquid you keep making? Please...?

    William Tecumseh Sherman
Flames that burn? I would much like to taste! I've never gotten to taste the flames of Muspell, only the colds of Nifl. Come, human, let this wolf finally taste fire!

    Ying Zheng
You.... smell like us.... but aren't us... you are human... or a monster...?.... Master, this one is confusing! Can I kill him!?

    Jeanne de Clisson
Another man-beast. Begone. I... bore of your kind. Unless you wish to be eaten...?

    Silvus Barbo
... A hero... a monster slayer! As if!... Hmph. You're weak. Leave me and I won't bother wasting the effort to kill you.

    Guillotin
death... Death... DEATH! What a wonderful scent! Oh how it inspires hunger in me!.... Master. Let's hunt. I am hungry. Let me go find food.... I need to eat!

    Abel
Hmph. I'd call him a hunter, but he lacks the frame. So why doees he smell so much of animal blood? Hmph! No matter, he shall be but another meal for me!

    Simo Hayha
Grrr! Annoying gnats keep bugging me! When will they cease!... wait, why am I bleeding!? Who dares!?

    El Cid
Grrr. Another would-be hero. Leave. Before you disappoint me!

    Francis Pegahmagabow
Grrr! I demand to know the secret! To controlling the very insects to attack me so effectively! Relay it, warrior who does not approach!

    Cleopatra
I smell much death on you. You've killed before... a lot. Is... that the way of kings? To kill endlessly...?

    Sweeny Todd
A monster! Like me no less! We eat, we devour, we rampage as we please!... Yet in the end, it will die like all beasts one day do. There is no other fate for monsters such as we.

    Il Sistema
... Order? Is it tasty? Is it good? I do not know what a 'system' is but if it bothers me I will eat it. Simple as that.

    Noble Phantasm
Auka Leyding, Herða Dromi, Stórmerki Gleipner
    Wolf-Binding Great Fetters

    Type
    Anti-Self

    Rank
    B

    The core of her legend.

The binds that trapped her under the Isle of Man.

Leyding the Strength, Dromi the Unbreaking, and Gleipnir the Impossible.

These three fetters bound her under that isle until Ragnarok, when her children ate the Sun and Moon and she was freed after growing beyond Impossibility. Upon freedom, she rampaged across the world back to the nine realms where she would slay and devour Odin before being killed by his son Viorr. These fetters are naturally her noble phantasm.

Naturally also they bind and seal her powers away.

This noble phantasm, upon her manifesting, activates and binds her mouth and arms and limits their movements. These fetters also seal her personal skills. They also reduce the ranks of her Parameters. These restraints remain until they are broken in order. Leyding first, then Dromi, then Gleipnir. However until then, they do protect Fenrir from attacks lower than C-rank. This protection dwindles by a rank for each fetter released and disappears upon Gleipnir breaking.

Leyding can only be broken by their master earnestly wishing for her freedom, Dromi can only be broken by an A-rank attack, and Gleipnir can only be broken by utilizing a command spell... or the master allow Fenrir to devour one of their master's limbs.

Each time a fetter is broken the associated skill (Leyding=Winds of Niflheim, Dromi=Soul Eater, Gleipnir=Beast of War) is unsealed and under her full command, as well as enhanced. Further, each fetter breaking enhances an associated parameter by a rank (Leyding=Strength, Dromi=Endurance, Gleipnir=Mana). Finally, each breaking grants her a weapon to utilize; the fetters themselves.

The fetters are not divine constructs but neither are they mystic codes or mere implements. They are an entirely different category as in essence they are concepts made manifest.

Leyding is the concept of 'Strength' brought into the world in a physical form while Dromi is 'Unbreaking' made manifest. Gleipnir, 'Impossibility', is similarly the concept brought into reality in a specific shape and form. As such they eschew the normal rules of how weapons function and are not subject to the effects of skills.

They are only effected by this noble phantasm.

Funny enough, this servant kinda wrote themselves. All I had to do was decide the details. Which... wasn't easy.

I knew I wanted the fetters to be the NP. I also knew the skills had to be what they were because of various bits picked from around the verse. I also knew that she had to be powerful to challenge Odin. However deciding how was difficult until I read a bit more about dwarves and how they built things.... it was quite eye opening.

They basically used concepts to build things.

From there, it was really really simple.

So I hope it's enjoyed and please do let me know if you wanna see specific interactions.

Ah, also some servants from the contest aren't present and thats more I haven't wrapped my head around their personality enough to think of how Fenrir would react. They'll be added when that happens.

With that, my second and final entry is done.

And the Norse family drama increases even further with these two! Since my planty boy is mentioned (thanks Draco, btw), here's a quick reaction.

To Vali: "This heat... It's HIM, father's murderer. While I should thank you for Father's body, it still should have been by my hands, my hands, he goes to Helheim, not by you! DIE!"

To Fenrir: "Wait, sister? But... Anyway, what was it like when you chomp down on Odin?! How did his flesh and blood taste? I bet it was so good. Is there any advice you can give for me so that I could have a taste too?"

    La Voisin
You have a lab? Parlor? ...I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

    Source
    Class: Assassin
    Other Classes: Caster
    True Name: Catherine Montvoisin
    Alignment: True Neutral
    Place of Origin: Historical Fact
    Height: 160 cm.
    Weight: 48 kilo.
Likes: Experimentation. Discovering new poisons. Sex. “Monte”.
    Dislikes: Snitches. Lazy men.
Natural Enemy: King Louis XIV. La Bosse.

    Parameters:
    STR: E
    END: E
    AGI: D
    MGI: B
    LCK: B
    NP: B

    Class Skills:
    Presence Concealment (-):
The Presence Concealment Skill has been lost due to La Voisin.

    Territory Creation (C):
Rather than a workshop, Assassin prefers to make a laboratory within which she can craft the most devilish and deadly of poisons. She often also creates a “parlor” for her to meet with customers.

    Item Construction (C+):
While creating poisons is her specialty, that ability has been divided off into its own Skill. This Skill instead represents creating all the mystical items for her masses and to sell to the populace. Because of this, she is capable of creating minor mystic codes with various effects, though when compared to those created by truly skilled magic users, they seem more like parlor tricks.

    Personal Skills:
    Double Summon (B):
A Skill engraved in her being, her identity intertwined as both Assassin and Caster. Not only was she a popular fortune teller and leader of satanic rituals, but it was often spread that most of those who dabbled with poison infused them with dark magics. Not only does it give her access to the Caster Class Skills, but further enhances her poison making abilities.

    La Voisin (A):
Meaning “The Neighbor”, this Skill arises from both her reputation before her dark dealings were revealed to the world and her ability to analyze and understand people to be “tell their fortunes”. Combining Espionage with Human Observation, Assassin can discern much about a person just by looking at them and adjust how she is perceived by them appropriately. Even in questionable and suspicious situations, it becomes hard for her to be discerned as an enemy.

    Black Mass (C):
Leveraging her reputation as a mystic, Assassin started holding black masses for further profit. These satanic rituals were meant to grant the wishes of those who participated, and they often involved ritual sacrifices. These masses had nothing to do with her actual magecraft but enforced her occult reputation.

This Skill gives her what can only be described as a “mystic aura”. Essentially, it causes others to perceive her closer to an ethereal or otherworldly entity. The effect is a passive result of her magecraft, altering the makeup of the air around her to confuse and warp the senses of others. Countering the effect is as simple as closing your eyes and plugging your nose, but that is a dangerous prospect when dealing with a poisoner.

    Poison Creation (A):
A master poisoner with a natural passion to boot, Assassin was not even close to a mother of poison or the poisoner profession. Assassin was a refiner. She loved making poisons and other elicit substances. Everything she acquired went into experimenting and crafting better toxins than what had come before. The pursuit of mastery in the poisoning field. All else was merely a means to that end.

At this level, Assassin’s ability to create deadly concoctions in various varieties is absurd. With a bit of study, she’s even able to make poisons that can affect Divinity, inhuman anatomy, and otherworldly beings.

It also comes with a weaker ability to create medicines and similar things, as understanding how to poison a body no matter the type does bestow some knowledge on how to make it better.

    Noble Phantasm:
Aqua Tofana: Perfecting the King of Poisons (B)

The creation of Thofania d'Adamo (La Tofania), an Italian poisoner who passed on her knowledge to her apprentice before she was executed. Giulia Tofana, the apprentice and an infamous poisoner from Rome, supposedly passed away 18 years later in 1951 only for reported sightings over 50 years later to rise. In actuality, she migrated to France, where she lived relatively quietly, having found her own successor.

Arsenic, the King of Poisons, is one of the most well-known toxic substances in the world. This chemical, whose uses are outweighed by how truly deadly it is, has claimed countless over the millennia, tracing back into pre-history. Study of this substance is the origin of La Tofania’s magecraft, passed down to Assassin.

This is not Aqua Tofana itself as a Noble Phantasm. Rather, it is the magic crest passed to her by Giulia Tofana, the culmination of her research into poisons and alchemical magecreaft. Within lies the core: the alteration of chemical elements. The alchemists that changed lead into gold found they could change water into acid and poison with only a few alterations.

With it, Assassin can change seemingly harmless substances into deadly poisons. Using proper rituals, it’s possible for her to do so from afar, but it is much faster, if more conspicuous, for her to do so with touch. Being also an inventor of poisons, it allows her to change things into the specific poison she desires.

A side effect is it effectively makes her immune to poison. Not only has she experimented in altering her own body’s makeup, but she subconsciously shifts any substance perceived as “poisonous” into “harmless”. Of course, this requires the substance to be physical in nature, whether solid, liquid, or gas.

Affaire des Poisons: If You’ve Eaten the Poison, You Best Lick the Plate (C)
    Suicide/Anti-Army

The Affair of Poisons was not some grand conspiracy or a massive scandal. It was a witch hunt born of mass fear and superstition. Hysteria brought on by a few notable poison attempts and confessions from a connected prisoner led to the arresting and execution of many who did and did not deserve their fates. This not only removed many prominent providers of poisons, but also well-known members of the occult community.

This Noble Phantasm is Assassin’s last resort. Her most famous anecdote is being executed along with many of her own peers, and this Noble Phantasm will make it so once more. It is a curse, deadlier than the greatest poison, born of fear and suspicion. As Assassin causes unexplainable and mysterious deaths, these emotions begin to build in the people. They are passively collected, combining and condensing within Assassin. If Assassin is backed into an inescapable corner or on the verge of death, she can activate it.

Proportional to the amount collected, Assassin is able to target more people or inflict a stronger curse on a few. Depending on the power, she’s even able to bypass high levels of Magic Resistance and can all but guarantee a death if it’s focused solely on a single person even at low power.

No matter how it’s used or what amount, Assassin is always inflicted with the curse as well. Perhaps she could be saved if someone with specific abilities is fast enough, but this is a death sentence for her as well.

    Lore

In the French countryside, a curious young girl finds a strange plant among the greenery. As she reaches out for it, a hand takes hold of her wrist.

“Careful. You’re likely to kill yourself like that.”

The girl looked up at the woman. She smiled down at her with a hint of recognition in her eyes. The girl didn’t care about that though. There was a more pressing matter on her mind.

    “Why?”

This was the beginning of their relationship. The mysterious woman who would teach her all she knew and the little girl that hung on every word. Despite having lost her father not long ago, the girl was more interested in the cause of their deaths than the loss itself. It was something the women knew all too well. Those eyes were reflected in her own, and she knew they were exactly what she was looking for.

Once she learned all she could, that odd little girl left for greater things. A place where she could properly use that knowledge. One where she may even find new and exciting ways to increase her inheritance. So it was that Catherine Deshayes, soon to become one of the most well-known poisoners in France, would arrive in Paris.

She soon found a man who could support her so she could focus on her experimentation, but that fell through not long after their marriage. Rather than simply abandoning her husband, she began plying her own trade, using both what she was taught by her mother and her mentor. Soon, the fortune telling mystic known as La Voisin spread her name throughout Paris, even reaching into high society.

Abortions. Aphrodisiacs. Love potions. Fortunes. Black masses. Magic items. Poisons. The woman provided them with a smile on her face and an adeptness not often found among her peers, many of whom were simply untrained grifters. A woman who truly knew what she was doing, who studied and experimented with passion outside of her own work, was a rare commodity. Her reputation, her mystique, grew with every client, but even those paled to her greatest commissioner.

La Madame de Montespan. The “True Queen of France”. However, she had yet to claim that position when they first met. The noblewoman was seeking to become the king’s mistress, yet she had made no progress in part due to his current mistress. She sought out La Voisin on recommendation from another mistress she befriended. Not one to pass up such an opportunity, La Voisin prepared a mass for her, saying her prayers would surely be answered.

She was not sure why, but when Montespan was still apprehensive about her chances, La Voisin gave her more grounded advice on how to gain his affections. Little did she know this would be just what she needed, alongside her confidence from the ritual, to make her way into the king’s heart. From then on, to La Voisin’s somewhat sarcastic chagrin, Montespan would seek her out whenever there were developments in her relationship.

She was likely the only friend Catherine had, and it was a large contributor to her own downfall.

When the king’s affections began turning from her toward another, Montespan called upon La Voisin once more. This time, it was not for a ritual, advice, or even an aphrodisiac to regain his affections. It was for her dealings in death. Concocting a plan to kill the king by poisoning a petition only he would touch, she had not accounted for how many petitioners would be there when she went. Deciding such a path was likely to fail once more, she began pursuing other possible avenues. Ones she would not get the chance to attempt.

The last few years had led to the arrest of several poisoners due to the rising hysteria caused by the death of the duchesse d'Orléans. The nail in Montvoisin’s coffin came when she was fingered by a rival poisoner who had thought she might escape execution by exposing her peers. La Voisin was one of the names given, being arrested only a few days after her failed attempt on the king.

While she was never tortured, La Voisin had somewhat loose lips, as she was kept in a drunken state whenever she was interrogated. Still, she maintained the secrecy of her clients, though two managed to slip through the cracks of her sloshed mind. Whenever asked about Montespan, she was always adamant they had never met, maintaining the mistress’s innocence. Despite this, their names became linked in the public consciousness, and her reputation would not recover.

After one year of imprisonment, La Voisin was found guilty of witchcraft and burned at the stake. She left this world quietly, but not peacefully, reported to have kicked the priest away before he could present her last rites and attempting to free herself even as the fire was lit.

If she really wanted to, she could’ve escaped. The reason why she didn’t will likely remain a mystery.

    Personality

A cold, taciturn, and mysterious woman, the things La Voisin says are often direct and cutting. The only times where she isn’t are when she’s in her fortune teller persona, adding a more welcoming tone and disposition. However, there is little need to do so within the walls of Chaldea, so curt and no nonsense is all you will get.

She has no evil agendas or even malice at her killers. Everything she did, with some of it objectively horrible, was done in service to her research. For her, morality never enters the equation. It is all a means to an end, and all the poisonings let her test out her research she couldn’t perform on herself. Yes. She tests most of her own products, and she tends to enjoy it. Even the deadlier ones. Her unique resistance and ability to neutralize them means she can experience them all firsthand, so long as they aren’t too damaging.

For her, there are really only two things she wants in this world: the freedom to pursue her passion and experiment to her heart’s content, and a good lay. Despite her frosty nature and seeming complete indifference to anything outside of poisons, La Voisin is just as passionate and ravenous in bed as she is in pursuing knowledge. It’s not uncommon for her to simply ask for sex out of the blue, though her targets also tend to be people with ample resources. If you do accept, you had best prepare, because she saves some of her strongest products for the bedroom.

With such complete disinterest and casual attitude toward intimate relationships, it’s surprising how loyal and oddly caring she can be. Her general demeanor is very closed, and she tends to view relationships in a transactional manner. Yet, that transaction is the first step in any relationship for her. It may begin as purely business, but the more you trade and spend time together, the more protective she becomes, if in subtle ways. Perhaps she’s just naturally matronly.

    Relationships

King Louis XIV: I’m not certain what it is Monte sees in you. You best not break her heart again.

Madame de Montespan: Monte, I do wish you would acquire better taste in men. …Oh, don’t look at me like that. …Fine. This is the last time.
    *is hugged*
Don’t think this will change my mind.

[Giulia Tofana]: Who is this… strange bubbly girl?

Gabriel Nicolas de la Reynie: You were a much kinder man than I expected of your ilk. I do wish you would stop looking on me with such suspicion though.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: A rather naughty rumor you spread. Perhaps I should give you a taste. A genuine, once in a lifetime experience.

Semiramis: Basilisk poison. What I would give for even a single vial… I’ll have to ask at the next meeting.

Hassan of Serenity: A body soaked in poison… I’d love to dissect you, or at least perform a few examinations.
Being someone able to touch Serenity, she seems open to the idea of even the former.

Locusta: I swear, if I hear one more rant about mushrooms, I will never use them again. There’s passion, and then there’s obsession.

Hamlet: I may have just the thing you need.

Raden Jipang: *Currently investigating how to make people "feel" things with poisons*

Rufus: *silently pets head while reading a book.*
The tiny fallout child has become rather clingy to the poisoner. She's very dismissive, but doesn't try pushing him away.

    Craft Essence

    The Third Tofana

    A legacy of death.

    Dramatic.

La Tofania killed her abusive husband. Not uncommon among mages.

La Tofana allowed other wives to do the same. A tribute to her mother.

They loved what they did even without the death. A passion remaining unmarred.

Mother to daughter. Master to apprentice.

When she found me, never once did the idea of killing pass her lips. I found it anyway.

She never wanted the death for me.

She wanted to foster what was already within me. The passion she shared.

Apprentice to master. Daughter to mother.

This legacy is not about death.

    It’s about love.

So I took some liberties. It’s not like we really know much about her early life other than she learned fortune telling at 9. Further, Giulia Tofana’s little rumors about living decades after her actual death, learning from a previous poisoner, and all 3 of them having equally mysterious origins, connecting them was a fun thought I had that just gave me justification to make her a magus.

Initially, she really was just gonna be an intelligent researcher and poisoner who uses her mystical reputation to add to her mystique and make people overestimate her. She hasn’t lost that, but being actually magical was never in the plan. Neither was the idea of her actually being friends with Montespan, but it just sounded like a cute idea with her personality. The person who she can be a gal pal with, even if she’s still deadpan most of the time.

Oh yeah. I should probably explain the sex thing.
I mean... the woman had a husband and over 6 different lovers, and if you're telling me that's not already a sign of a woman that knows what she wants, especially when not all those men even had things she would likely want from them, then I don't know what does. Girl liked science, chemistry, mysticism, and getting piped.
    Respect.

Yo! Listen to the theme on this one, it's good- in the epithet as usual.

The history of magecraft on the North American continent is a topic of varied historical debate by scholars. Due to the proportionally vast space as compared to the relatively sparse number of inhabitants when comparing to the rest of the world, and the large majority of its various civilizations only reaching an equivalent to the bronze age by the time that europeans entered the playing field, it presents a large scale mystery-sanctuary and thus fostering of unique magical heritage. The influx of european mages upon the establishment of the colonies provided an opportunity for many theorists and researchers to experiment in a land as rich in mystery as it was opportunity, to the point that future discussion is still prefaced to this day by declaring studies as Pre or Post-Colonial.

From the mid 1600’s to 1864, this environment fostered a sort of golden era for magical study in this (European-perceived) land out of time that would grow into the fledgling United States of America. It was a sort of miniature renaissance, with many great american mages being alive for some part of it- Berzinsky, Morrison, Heiderserdht, Lemuel, Vulmarian, Sketch, Franklin, Montour, Handcock, Jyuranorillo, Von Ordelia, Oddens, Smythe-Botacelli, Adair, Whitman, LeFleur, Douglass, Twain, Murasame, even Baum, who was but eight years of age at the end of the era. However, none of those revolutionary figures would have such an effect as the one who single handedly brought the end of it.

When speaking of him, there is a certain air of indignation among some mages- he himself was certainly not one, and when confronted with their presence in society as his importance grew, he wholeheartedly rejected them. It was not denial, but complete acknowledgement and rebuke. Despite knowing nothing of spells or curses, he was fully conscious of what he had done- and there was a complete acceptance of it, and total repulsion from him at the same time. It was an odd, offputting refusal to engage with a mage’s mage mindset in any way, despite his scorched-earth method being something one could easily find similarities in. A human atom-bomb.

    Lore:
Born to a Presbyterian family in Ohio in 1820, Tecumseh Sherman (later gaining the Christian name William after being rebaptized as a Catholic, his father having died and he having been given to a foster family to raise), would grow up as a bright, occasionally odd, but still well-liked young man. At the age of 16, he would be enrolled into the prestigious military academy at West Point at his foster-family's behest. This action would start a lifelong set of paradoxical happenstance. All four years there, Sherman stood at the near top of his class- he was extremely intelligent in both traditional academics and those regarding warfare, but his taste for the military lifestyle and adherence to its values was horrible- by his own estimation, he recieved approximately 150 Demerits per year.

Joining the army in its artillery division after graduation in the Second Seminole war. The actions against the native people were notably, by his own memories, very distasteful to him, to him there was no reason to remove a population so small, they were of no threat; he seemed to purposely distance himself from service after this, getting himself assigned to purely administrative duty all the way off in California, where he would accidentally help to kick off the Gold Rush by doing the inspections and signing off the papers to the Gold Mines in the Monterey region. Retiring as soon as possible, he would engage in a series of misadventures as a civilian (Surveying the land for Sacramento, Owning a Bank, getting Married, Passing the Bar Exam without studying, etc), before becoming a Military College Superintendent in 1859. This venture back into the sphere of the military however, would be a poor decision for him.

The rumblings of the south's secession were starting- when the news of the first to leave traitor states, South Carolina, reached the academy, Sherman could be found pacing, crying, and spouting prophecies of ruin, that it would be the end of the whole country. As others left, this merely compounded, and by 1861, he had resigned from his institution- heading now to President Lincoln in Washington DC, to convince him to appoint him as a member of the military- a fast bid to try and fix things while they were still in the beginning stages. This is what he told himself anyhow- as Lincoln called for men to join the Military for a 3-month venture, Sherman would reportedly remark, “You'd be better off trying to put out the flames of a burning house with a squirt gun.”

Starting off as a Colonel, Sherman would be one of the few commanders to come out of the disastrous defeat at Bull Run with any sort of distinguishment, fighting alongside his men while leading them out without major losses, grazed by bullets in doing so. His regiment was of notably higher morale, and while his faith in his ability to lead was shaken due to the loss in battle, when Lincoln made the rounds to visit the troops, he promoted Sherman to the rank of General. This was seen as a betrayal by the man, who had made it known that he was not comfortable with the lives of so many soldiers- which made more and more sense, as his mental state rapidly declined. He would maintain positions, fighting defensively, and keep winning battles, but there were more and more losses.

This all would culminate in a complete mental breakdown- he would be shipped back to his wife in Ohio. His (birth) family had a history of mental instability (and a burgeoning set of Mystic Eyes across the last few generations), and his wife, Ella, a mage of little renown, would use magecraft to try and figure out how to bring her husband from the throes of madness. When she looked within his mind, however, she saw only flame.

Through the effects of aforementioned eyes, Sherman had (by his later recollection) “fallen in to the holes”, his unique vision allowing him to peer through the tears in the warring country into the space beyond reality- until something stared back. Ella would end up having to toss Tecumseh upon their home's hearth, she would recall, as one day he burst into a cocoon of flames- a state which he would remain in for a period of two weeks. They did not touch his body, but wrapped around it like a second skin, trying to sink into it. Ella would do what she could over the period, but she feared she would have to end his life to break whatever unidentified spell it was… until one moment, the flames were gone, and he was awake.

As he would explain it, Tecumseh had locked eyes with some being from beyond the stars, looking in on their realm due to the smell of conflict, as it occasionally did in times of conflict. This was the Adversary of Flame, and as the man had locked eyes with it's own singular one, it attempted to take over his corporeal body- however, unlike others who would look into the realm of the old gods, Sherman had not fully lost his mind- was it waning and degrading under incredible guilt and duress? Yes. But he had only reached the realm of insanity through a superhuman ability- and thus he fought in a contest of wills. At first to free himself, then to escape without the eldritch being following him back to reality. Thanks to Ella's assistance, eventually calling on his military contacts to send various mages to assist, he would make it back- only taking a minor portion of the Nemesis's flame with him.

This all however, had caused a revelation within Tecumseh. He knew that if you could solve the source of division, you could close the tears- and as the southern states breaking away were the start of the holes appearing in the land… he saw only one course of action.

The following military Tenure of Sherman as a General marked him as a pioneer in the field of warfare, advancing the fields of Maneuver and Hard warfare- he is seen by modern military scholars in the same category of strategist as Scipio Africanus and Napoleon Bonaparte. During his march to the sea/the Savannah campaign, his burning of anywhere that he walked was so thorough, due to welding the flames of the Nemesis, that he would burn the mana out of the soil, completely ruining the state of Georgia in terms of suitability for practitioning magecraft. Even in the modern era, its leylines have a hampered output- showing the fragility of America's mystery-haven monniker.

After the war, Sherman would be tasked with handling the Indian wars, which he notably tried to proceed peacefully with, and later became the Commanding General of the entire United States army, and Secretary of War for a short time. Retiring, he would live out the rest of his days in New York with his family, a patron of the arts, before dying of pneumon in 1891 at the age of 71.

    Personality:
For the inventor of hard/absolute war, and summoned under the Foreigner class, Sherman is an incredibly casual sort. There are few grand speeches, no crazed shouting, low murmurs of terrible things from beyond, no desire to spread flame. Instead, the moniker used by his troops, “Uncle Billy” makes much more sense. He's a responsible, yet wry sort of fellow, at the same time no-nonsense, yet with a twinkle in his eye that contains an undeniable human element. He's a soldier who doesn't think highly of soldiering, a commander who has no real wish to tell others what to do. He'd much rather be there for someone rather than be in charge of them. He doesn't seem to ever get actually angry, and is more of a people pleaser than anything else- though dislike and disgust are certainly on the table, he will absolutely mouth off. Again- Uncle Billy. Great for watching the kids, but they may learn a few bad words.

In combat situations though, this somewhat unassuming, yet sturdy personality disappears. Colloquially known as, “locking in”, Sherman, when on the battlefield becomes a deadly mixture of serious and serene. Away goes the casualness from his demeanor, and in settles America’s supreme commander- utterly unshakable, with the ruthlessness and efficiency of something that has detached themselves from humanity. It is kill or be killed- this is the man who coined the phrase, “War is Hell.” after all.

Despite all this, at his core, the feeling that there is worth in every human life is what is most integral to characterizing him as an individual. This is the principle that guides his decisions.

    Class Skills:

    Existence Outside the Domain: A

A skill of the Foreigner Class, denoting association with a being who descends from the void of outer space. Sherman hosts a section of the Nemesis of Flame’s authority. While normally this would result in an EX ranking, it is due to the circumstances of their “contract” that it does not rise to such a rank.

    Divinity: D
A skill that marks a heroic spirit as having aptitude as a divine spirit, as well as being a skill of the Foreigner Class.

A skill that was achieved through a state reached in life, bolstered an extra rank through the captive flame of the Nemesis.

    Insanity: -
A skill often seen on servants of the Foreigner class- while not a Class Skill per say, it is common due to the context by which many bonds are formed with otherworldly entities. Sherman had a complete mental break during the early stages of the American Civil War, owed both to a family history of extreme mental illness, and the experience of war. He would be shipped home to his wife, where his insanity would be documented, before eventually returning to service.

    ”I got better.”

    Personal Skills:

    Charisma of Absolute Conviction: B
A composite skill involving the effects of Charisma. A special sort, fueled by an unflinching nature.

”Those who come after me can call me what they wish, they can say whatever they want, think whatever they do about my skills as a general. I however, firmly deny any form of military tactics skill showing up on my Saint Graph. I’ll take a classification under charisma, I’m proud to bear the respect of my men, but God help the throne, keep that dreck off my spiritual core.”

    Mystic Eyes of Fission: A
Historically referred to as Eyes of Tearing by Sherman for the sake of simplicity, Fission is the technical designation. However, even this moniker is not technically correct, as the ability of the eyes is to, “gaze upon that which will be torn asunder, and explode”. It is a form of clairvoyance specifically tailored to viewing disaster, as regardless of what is being split, whether it be a physical object, magecraft, an emotion, or even a notion or sentiment, Sherman can see it.

Should it be split enough though, Sherman is able to ‘activate’ the divide, causing a combustion to occur. Whether it is a physical, magical, or emotional explosion, depends on what is being split. Additionally, the initial separation must not be by design- something like a human brain, despite being split in two hemispheres, naturally forms that way meaning that technically, it is still whole.

"I had known for the longest time that there was something wrong with how I saw things- at first it was just intuition, a feeling, that something would go wrong. Then, these little black marks- sooty little divots in things and people that were gonna crumble… Now- I hadn't confessed this to anyone but my wife, and not but once- we’d had a fight, it was over something… so trivial that I can't remember it, but something so personal that it put a legitimate strain between us. I'd gone down to the woods to cut some lumber for the stove-pile, but when I went to pick up my axe, I'd found one of those little divots, those holes, in my wedding ring. Needless to say, I went and apologized to my wife that evening, and it went away. NOW. Imagine you were me, knowing these little holes lead to things breaking, but you still had hope of fixing it. Imagine, knowing that, and seeing them pop up, and grow wider, deeper, and more plentiful, every day. Would that not weigh on you?”

    Mana Burst (Otherworldly Flame): B
A version of Mana Burst that infuses weapons with Magical Energy that imparts a flame effect.
Sourced from the gate split by Sherman’s Mystic Eyes, they are not extinguishable by ordinary means, instead being quenched by electricity or Foreigner’s command.

    Heaven Through Violence: EX
A skill which only activates while in combat.
Represents a form of enlightenment reached through the absolute relinquishing of feeling, and acceptance of consequence. Reduces all damage taken by a fixed percentage, and nullifies all mental, and luck checks.

"In my time, I had heard the American motto was that of ‘Manifest Destiny’- the dream was to be allowed to do as you would, should you be able enough to do so. However, as I have been brought to the throne, it has occurred to me that this is not the case- instead, I feel as if it should be the name of this skill- to Reach Heaven Through Violence. As it has been explained to me, the nation of The United States of America is a divine inevitability- no matter what happens, in what timeline, it will eventually exist. And now, once established, when the greats of America are born, live and die, and ascend to The Throne to be as servants- it is because we are violent. It is because we eternally fight, we crave conflict, we have the will to carry out this most unholy curse placed upon us which compels us to go to war- and I have reached the pinnacle of that. By shedding all I could to engage in a practice so thorough that I had spiritually cauterized the soil of my homeland, do you know what went through my mind?

Nothing. Not until it was done.”

    Noble Phantasm:

    Mystery’s Curie Point
    March to The Sea

    Type: Anti-Mystery
    Rank: A++
    Range: 30 meters
    Max Targets: -

A Noble Phantasm that activates when Sherman decides to pursue a target. Should they be close enough to activate, Sherman will be able to mentally lock on to them and reveal their location to himself at all times. As he begins to move, massive flames will begin to emit from the smoldering footprints he leaves behind, eventually spreading and melting into craters. A similar ungodly heat will emit from Foreigner, flames that normally only envelop his left arm, forming a sheen around him in his entirety. While he himself is immune, the flames are all-consuming, eating away at both mystery and Mana itself. It is a divine sobering, a metaphysical manifestation of the idea of an all-consuming war, that takes and takes and takes, until there is nothing left.

A Noble Phantasm born from Sherman’s titular march to the sea- a nearly year long campaign of Sherman hunting down confederate general Johnston, characterized by a lack of fighting due to Sherman’s oppressive maneuvering, and the complete and utter destruction via fire of anything he came across, military or civilian. As previously mentioned, using the Flames of the Adversary, the earth would be so scorched that it would be rendered unable to produce any statistically significant amount of mana-
leading to the subsequent scramble at the tail end of the century to preserve its mana and mystery en-masse, spawning efforts such as L. Frank Baum’s Oz Project. He is undeniably the most significant figure in American magecraft because of it, in the same way that Thomas Midgley Jr is to the earth’s atmosphere.

    Relationships

Florence Nightingale: “Even a lady such as yourself, to behave like that… well, s’pose that’s how it is with us, yeah?”

Geronimo: “Well shit, if it ain’t the man himself! If I’d hadn’t managed to get on desk duty, I reckon I’d have been sent to die at your hands- y’got nothing but my respect, y’all got the rawest deal from us.”

Napoleon Bonaparte: “Hey- Caesar was fudging those damn rolls at the Risk game last night, right? I don’t care what kind of charisma he’s got, that was bullshit.”

Xuanzang Sanzang: “-So this buddhism thing- how’d that all start? I heard of the Gautma guy or whatever his name was, but I’m still confused if he’s the main guy-”

William Randolph Hearst: “If I had my choice I would kill every reporter in the world, but I am sure we would be getting reports from Hell before breakfast.” (This is an actual quote from Sherman)

Jeanne D’Arc (Berserker): “I was raised Catholic. My wife was a practicing catholic. While I myself don’t subscribe to all that, I DO have a base familiarity with a few saints, and let me tell you, meeting her has given me yet another reason to mistrust historians. That’s a madwoman-”

Samiel: “-At least the devil over here’s polite.”

Cain: "Again- not a religious fella, but I can't help but think that maybe you made it over the pond... would explain why we turned out like this."

Hamlet: "Hey now your highness- you talk with the uh, the Bard recently? I'm actually a huge fan of his, so- you mind ah, getting him to sign this for me? I'd ask for your own, but I don't exactly know how you uh, feel about the adaptation, I know I get in a funk over that sorta thing."

Diomedes: "Y'got involved with greater beings- gotta be careful with all that, especially if you can't trust your own eyes anymore. I should know, it almost got me."

Amleth Aurvandilsson: "Gotta be honest, I'm envious- I only ever traveled outside of my home country when going around South America- I stopped in Brazil, it was a beautiful place- how's it like, voyaging that far, to all those places? Are the memories soiled by having to go there and fight? I can't think of a couple states without that worming its way into mine."

Raden Jipang: "Apparently there's a name for it, but I always called it battle-burn in my head- that feeling you get when you go to deep into the fight, and then come out of it. It's all hollow, yeah? Well, its never gonna leave unless you start filling it again. S'why I started painting- I'd suggest doing something similar, or you're gonna keep falling deeper."

Hou Yi: "Now you... you get it. That disconnect, that offness... once you're that high up, it feels weird when you go back."

Shamgar: "Well son, that's a pretty neat trick you got there, sneaking around like that where I can't perceive ya- I'm sorry to disappoint you though, because, y'see, I'm reaaaaal good with spaces between spaces."

"Frog" & "Scorpion" (Cautionary Tale): "That's an awful big hole your master's got in themself over there- don't talk to me about morality when I can just blow away the source of the problem, alright?"

The Big Bad Wolf: "Hot damn, little lady, I'm liking the application here! Most of the folks with marbles around here just pop it like a fool and set it out, but you're actually using the thing with some mental gumption- you able to change what trees you have? I got some ideas for you, there's some stuff you'd probably make good use out of-"

'Rufus' (Demon Core): "If it ain't the boy who's doing what my Eyes are named after! 'Course, I didn't call it that at the time, but it's good to meet the expert on it all."

Váli Odinson: "Point that bow away from me if you know what's good for you, I'll burn the bolt outta the air. Don't be stupid now."

Fenrir: "Don't bite me, you'll burn your tongue- learn some table manners."

Catherine Montvoisin: "Can't stand poisons myself- though just killing a leader and sparing their forces, that's understandable, i probably would have hired ya."

Yíng Zhèng: "Son. The downfall of many a man comes at the hands of hate and pride- these things cloud the mind, poison the soul- you can't burn someone to ash with that. If you really wanna kill a man, the flame's gotta be pure. A dirty flame, a burn that ain't clean, y'never know what that's gonna do. It may put them to sleep from the smoke for a softer release, it may not burn as hot, letting them get up and drag you in. I know you avengers ain't never gonna learn, but if you really want a bastard dead, you gotta put your shit aside. Don't even try it on me, that shit ain't nothing to me, son."

Jeanne de Clisson: "Damn, another one? I gotta tell you off too?"

Apologies for the wank, thought the concept was cool while brainstorming stuff for my Prague series, it just sorta spiraled from there.

259 BCE. The capital of the State of
    Zhào
    ,
    Hándān
    邯郸
    .

The blunders of kings and the folly of courtiers have brought ruin to this once-prosperous land. Surrounded by all sides by an enemy state, its army buried alive at the hands of a foreign
    general
    monster
, now only hell remains within the walls of this city. Fear permeates the city as the whole population fears that they will become another
    Chángpíng
    长平
, and whispers abound at the bloodlust of
    the State of Qin
the Kingdom of Tigers and Wolves
. Hunger gnaws at every stomach, and families begin trading children as starvation inevitably set in.

"But wait," someone says. "Is there not someone from that accursed state within our walls?"

And so, every eye turned to a single boy.

A boy born within Zhao walls, raised by Zhao parents, and yet
    Qín
    blood ran in his veins.

    A demon child. The
    thrice-damned cause
    cursed victim
    of their sordid circumstances.

And so, they piled curse upon curse on him. On and on they spat blood at him, condemning his very existence. How dare he!? How dare you do this to us, you whore spawn of our exterminators!? We will not suffer you to live in happiness, even unto our deaths! NEVER FORGET YOUR SIN, EVEN AS YOU SINK TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL!

    ...

Indeed, the boy would never forget. It would cling to him, whispering a curse that begged for his destruction, seeping death into his very bones, clogging his veins with anguish.

    And so, he decided.

"If this world would curse me, deny all I am, and insist that I am the sire of evil..."

"Then I shall annihilate it utterly, until naught remains but ash and dust!"

    Class Skills

    Avenger: A

The Servant's disposition as an avenger who acts as a focal point for the people's hatred and grudges, sublimated into a skill. Though Ying Zheng is not comprised of grudges, the hatred of all the Warring States courses through his being, with the grudges of the State of Zhao usually gaining dominance. His life began in the Siege of Handan, as his own grandfather starved the very city his successor was trapped in. All those within the walls of the capital cursed his name, branding him a foreign demon embedded in their midst, beating him as they condemned his very existence, carving their hatreds into his soul. If Ying Zheng learned anything from his childhood, it was only the yawning abyss of humankind's capacity for malice.

Ying Zheng never knows a moment of respite from these grudges; so long as he exists in this world, he will carry the enmity of all he
    brought to ruin
    accepted hatred from
with him. For the sake of
    destroying the Warring States
bringing pain to those who wronged him
, he will gladly bloody his hands with as many lives as he must. This manifests in a dark cloud of foul miasma that clings to Ying Zheng, draining life and spreading plague wherever he goes. Prolonged exposure (approximately an hour) will eventually render people unconscious, and even Servants will see a slight reduction in their ability to discern friend from foe.

"I will not save you. I will not obey you. I will not satisfy any of the grudges you have piled upon me. I care not for the justice of your grievances, nor for the righteousness of my cause. Such concerns are privileges reserved for the end of war, and my crusade has not ended.

...But rest assured. I will not abandon you. You shall bear witness to the end of my path."

    Mana Self-Replenishment: C

There is no rest for one who has dedicated themself to vengeance and remembrance. Restores the bare minimum amount of mana to sustain Ying Zheng's existence after a period of time.

    Oblivion Correction: A

An Avenger must never forget their grudge, for it is the core of their being. Ying Zheng carries the blood-soaked will of all the people he slaughtered throughout his life, be they butchered children, massacred innocents, or executed enemies. Every soul snuffed out, every live he stole, every refuge he destroyed, he remembers them all, as he unleashes an equal amount of bloodshed and hate upon his foes.

This manifests in an immunity to all attempts to redirect his wrath at any but his chosen enemy: the roiling mass of curses that dwells with him will not permit him to forget their grudges.

...Yet, while he is certainly influenced by their howling demands for blood and pain, Ying Zheng never seems to treat satisfying them as his final goal. He instead glares into the infinite sky, as though all the cosmos were his mortal nemesis.

"I could never forget the years of pain and suffering heaped upon me at my birth, nor the searing eyes of the newly-conquered subjects I accrued. Thousands of them accrued to me each passing day, piling as though to reach Heaven itself.

Never shall I forget the world that has created them; never shall I forget the vengeance that drives my every breath.

Never shall I forget the blood I have spilled in the name of my cause."

    Personal Skills

    Tradition Destroyer: B

Ying Zheng's road to the end of his crusade laid across the ruins of all he saw as obsolete. Confucianism, Daoism, any of the Hundreds Schools that preached reverence to tradition were systemically annihilated by his command. Books were incinerated, scholars were buried, and thought was mandated, all for the sake of a new China unshackled by the traditions of the old. He would not permit those ancient
    notions
    curses
to drag him into obscurity and irrelevance. The old ways were a disease; they must be utterly excised.

This manifests in an erosion of the opponent's Saint Graph whenever Ying Zheng faces a paragon of their social order. The curses that cling to Ying Zheng tear at their foundations, reducing the mana output of their Spirit Core. If allowed to fester, Ying Zheng can tear at the enemy Servant's legend, destroying Skills and destabilizing Saint Graphs. The older the tradition that paragon embodies, the faster Ying Zheng infects their Saint Graph, until all that remains is a mere wraith, powerless to do naught but haunt and howl. Those with Divinity have a measure of resistance to this Skill, as their traditions are remnants of Divine Authority, but they are not immune. They simply take longer to wear down.

"The old ways have served their purpose! They serve as nothing but chains soaked in the foul corruption of long-dead men, dragging the living to the afterlife with them! So long as they remain, my crusade shall never reach its destination. There is no other option but blood! All who epitomize them must die! All who worship at the altar of tradition must be cleansed from the world!"

    Charisma of Thunderous Conviction: A

Ying Zheng's disposition, even as a child, was sculpted by the horrific circumstances of his life. He knew few people who tolerated his existence, and even fewer that he could truly rely upon. And yet, none could deny that the boy's eyes held a terrifying depth of will. Ying Zheng was never concerned with the size or scale of his enemies: that just meant they had that much further to fall. Everyone who met him throughout his life felt the effects of this boy's magnetism, but here it is at its most unrefined and unfiltered. Raw, defiant conviction, a scream to the world that birthed him, a bitter promise made with the majesty of thunder. And all under Heaven would hear it.

Allies susceptible to Charisma will find themselves devoting their entire mind and soul to the enemy that Ying Zheng has selected. Their senses grow sharper, their mind grows grimmer, and their rage and hatred are amplified. Ying Zheng's allies will begin to prioritize fatal blows over disabling strikes, and become increasingly accepting of brutality. The means matter not; only the end will remain. If affected for long enough, they enter a state of grim determination that seeks nothing less than the total annihilation of their enemy.

"I will not restrain myself. I will not mince words. I will not compromise. My cause shall be laid bare for all to see. Any who wish to deny me will know my wrath. Any who curse me is but another hatred added to the pile. I care not if rivers of the blood flow from mountains of the dead: let my will be done, even if the heavens fall!"

    The Weight of Life: B

If there is one legacy Ying Zheng was known for, it was death. He was born haunted by the mass slaughter at Changping and cursed by the people of Handan. His official crowning was marred by the rebellion of Lao Ai, which ended with the false eunuch's brutal execution. His wars of unification killed hundreds of thousands, drowning China in a crimson sea of blood. An unceasing march towards a destination only he can see, all for the
    promise he made to
    wish he made for
himself from his earliest days. How could one such as him balk at death? It is perhaps the only constant he ever knew.

Upon activation, Ying Zheng gains a weak shroud of mana that serves as a small measure of protective armor, but the Skill's true power lies in enhancing Ying Zheng's lethality. The longer one remains in combat with Ying Zheng, the more weighty his attacks become: that is, strikes that could normally be blocked or parried become heavier, as the burden of the lives he has taken crashes down upon his opponent. It is similar to Mana Burst in that it allows to the increasing of one's strength, but unlike Mana Burst this effect continues for as long as Ying Zheng has mana to sustain it.

"I am Ying Zheng, sire of death! The lives I have taken I gladly carry upon my back, no matter how many weigh me down! Even if I should sink to the depths of the earth, I will continue to move forward. If every human on this earth saddles me with resentment and hate, then I shall carry all of it to the end of the destination I seek. So come then! Burden me as you will! I shall fulfill my
    promise
    wish
    all the same!"

The Tree of Hatred Bears Fruit

    Type: Anti-World
    Rank: EX
    Range: 100
Maximum Number of Targets: 1000 people

Ying Zheng's true target of vengeance is not the people who cursed and hated him, but the
    world
    society
    that created him.

Even as he lived in Handan during its siege, he heard stories of entire villages wiped out for little reason other than the boredom of armies or the desperation of bandits. Madmen who roamed the streets muttered of the evil invaders come to violate their country and enslave their neighbors. Families of all classes traded children so that when the time came, they would not need to cannibalize their own progeny. Rotting corpses littered the alleyways as there was no place to bury them: the most famished people even began butchering the dead as a source of meat. Everyone lived in the most wretched of conditions, all victims of this age of strife and chaos.

Is this what the world is?
Is this what home is meant to be?
What sort of power would permit this terrible place to exist?

Though he was taught hatred and fury by the Zhao populace, he was taught horror and death by his own grandfather, the king of Qin. He had heard whispers of Changping, of the 400,000 souls buried there. As a child, he scarcely knew how large 100 was, let alone 400,000.

However, one day, he beheld the fields of that infamous massacre.

All... All of this... the entire plain... is corpses...!

His child's mind wanted to deny this. Of course, he thought. I should just dig. They must be lying. There cannot be...

None but himself and the dead heard the boy's scream.

    ...This world is twisted.
Families kill each other for drawings on a map.
Lives are snuffed out for mere words and whims.
Children are called demons for being born.
    This cannot continue.
Even if I must employ those same methods...
Even if my hands are stained with more blood than any other...
Even if I shoulder the hatred of all who live under Heaven...
    I will destroy it.
Destroy it, destroy it, destroy it, destroy it!
    Until nothing remains!

Upon Ying Zheng's summoning, a tiny sapling sprouts upon the place of his manifestation.

Slowly, with each grudge he accepts, with every hatred he accumulates, the sapling grows into a tree. Its roots dig deep, beckoning the restless dead, summoning the remnants of long-held grudges.

It shall grow day and night, fed by all the
    enmity
    sorrow
of the world, inviting all curses into its silent, yawning embrace, amplifying and weaving them together, branches reaching into an endless sky it can never reach.

Until finally, when the tree can bear no more, when the stream of hatred flows to the zenith of the world, when those cries for blood can no longer be ignored, it will relent and unleash a massive wave of curses, reaching as far as it can, killing all in its path, annihilating all life beneath its branches.

...Until naught but a silent, barren plain exists.

    Bond Craft Essence

And Then, When Everything Falls Silent

"I will never forgive this world.
Such a cruel, terrible place, which births monsters and demons like me, that scorns righteousness and hates all who live within it.
So long as humanity exists, I shall continue my war. So long as those same evils disease this land, I shall cull and reap it.
    ...
    Oh? What comes next?
Hah! Do not ask me, stargazer! My only
    mission
    longing
is the cleansing. If you can stop me, then you may worry about the future!
Futures are the spoils of victors, of conquerors, of those who remain! I am not my older self. I have no wish to rule or dominate.
    ...
    But if you would listen...
If you would demand an answer, even in spite of that...
If you would pile that final curse upon me...

    Then create something better.
Create a world that would never give bloom to my tree, with no grudges and hatred, and no enemies.
...Create a world where I could have never been born."

    Creator's Note

    Well, this was different.

One thing that has always stuck in my head when it comes to Ying Zheng is how he was born in the aftermath of the worst tragedy of the Warring States. How that single concentrated point of the worst of humanity inevitably hardened and influenced him into the man he would become. How his rule so utterly destroyed the old social order that every single dynasty afterwards would only be imitating what he did, for better and worse.

And I always thought, would that wretched child ever be satisfied?

    Thanks for reading.

On this hunt, we'll leave no survivors.
We will disembowel the monster, feast on its limbs and tongue, and let the sea soak its entrails.
Let the sea chafe all sin from the monster's wicked carcass, until all that is left is a pile of glistening resplendent beads of crystal and pearl.
With its head—I will do with its head what it thinks fits the head of a monster.
Crush. Stab. Pulverize. Slice. Smash. Squash. Squeeze. Bisect. Trample. Slap. Punch.
Skewer. Jab. Pierce. Puncture. Evisceration. Enucleation.
This hunt exists beyond the bounds of life and death.
It begins and ends with erasure. Of honor, of name, of a future.
On this hunt, all survivors spell damnation to the soul. We must leave none.
Even if it means this ship will descend to the narrowest valleys of the deepest hell—and with it, the French Crown.

    Avenger
—THE AXE THAT PEELS THE LEVIATHAN'S SKIN—

    LUK C
    MAG D
    NP B

    BOND The Sunken
    Class Skills

    Avenger — E
The implication of an advanced level of "gathering hatred" is simple. That one does not hold all the hatred in the entire world within one's heart.
No speck of vengeance ever leaks out of her well-guarded heart, so there is no need to replenish it whatsoever.
How could one forget the death of one's whole world?

    Oblivion Correction — A
That scene is etched into her retinas. Through this image, she interacts with the world. She imagines his beheaded face at every occasion, whispering sweet affirmations into her ears.
His head, displayed at the Sauvetout gate, became the new meaning of her life. Due to the fact that Avenger led her children to see their father's displayed beheaded head, her Oblivion Correction becomes an infection that overrides other peoples' memories of obsession and determination with her own, slowly corroding their sense of self until they oblige to her own cause. She does not seem to be aware of this affect. Affected people conceive of their enemies as Sea-Monsters, and both Avenger and her allies gain an increased burst of damage against those very Sea-Monsters.

    Self-Replenishment (Mana) — B
For as long as the French Crown persists in this world, her hatred will burn forevermore. She will bite into the soft skin of the Leviathan and tear it bit by bit until they both perish from this world.
After losing a battle against the French Crown, Avenger waded through the seas on a raft with her two boys. All along that ride, her eyes were set on the horizon. She did not blink, even when the salty water hit her face again and again. Her gaze was fixed, and she was whisked away from her mortal husk to the sweetest dream of ruination and damnation. In her dream, the King of France was in her grasp, and she chafed her axe against his skin until, layer by layer, she unveiled his wickedness to the whole, entire world. In front the head of her husband. Her entire world.

    Personal Skills

    Determination of Steel — EX
    Vengeance is a three-act play.
The first-act is made of yearning. The lioness must stalk her prey unto madness. Her gaze persists through rain and thunder, her eyes are rivers soaked in blood and ink. Vengeance necessitates determination—retribution requires no patience, but to avenge is to weigh the options, most definitely. A lust, unquenched for fifteen years, is no more a hazy mist. It is as palpable as the waves of the ocean crashing at your face. It stings your lungs in ways you could never forget.
Avenger is not led by wrath, she is led by the unfathomable determination necessary to fulfill a dream. The soul of a gentle mother hardened into that of a lioness.
Hindrances do not exist in the path Avenger chooses, since obstacles are mere further tools one must use to exact necessary revenge. Pain, suffering and hardship all transform in an alchemical reaction to valor and serenity. The catalyst for such exchange is, undoubtedly, blood.

    Innocent Monster — B
    Vengeance is a three-act play.
The second-act is defined by the prancing executions. The lioness is painted black by ash, her mane is lit aflame, her sword slits throats as easily as she breaths. She haunted the seas of France with an iron-fist, erasing entire crews for the purpose of propaganda. From each massacre, Jeanne de Clisson spared a single crewmate and sent him sprawling to the feet of the King of France, Philip VI, repeating her mantra: "It is not I who has brought ruin upon your head. It is the one who has brought ruin unto me, who has doomed himself." Jeanne's mere appearance is enough to strike fear in the hearts of French royalists and Weakness (Sea-Monster) in those who belong to the Crown of France.

Epiphany in the Jaws of Death (False) — A
    Vengeance is a three-act play.
The third-part denotes satisfaction. The ship has fallen, and the lioness maintains her grasp only on the raft. For five days, Jeanne and her sons were adrift. But her son, Guillaume, was weak and died early on from exposure to the elements. Of course, Olivier survived. Olivier, who was named after his father, was a construct of Her Revenge. Those who aid in her journey may gain epiphanies in the face of death, and live on for her.
Among those epiphanies rest the knowledge of the sea-monsters that dwell in one's heart. Those that must be cleansed by the ocean and purged by the axe.
All allies gain increased damage against those inflicted with Weakness (Sea-Monster), as defined by the skill Innocent Monster.

    BOND The Sinking
Thou Brakest the Head and Gavest the Meat to the People
    My Revenge

Shedding the skin of the wicked Sea-Monsters is the duty of Avenger. Reminding them of their mortality is her sole mission. The annihilation of those who betrayed her, who sentenced her whole word to a gruesome execution, who accused her of treachery and all sorts of crimes, who banished her from her homeland and forced her to join arms with those she once detested to the bottom of her heart. With her ship, My Revenge, Jeanne de Clisson made light of the seas and desecrated dozens of fleets. Her prowess was unbearable, and so the French had to divulge a portion of their navy to deal with the problem.
And no matter how wonderful, how incredible, how marvelous her vengance had appeared to be—reality did not care for her one bit. After a decade of tormenting the French, supplying the British, and terrorizing every guilty Sea-Monster in her voyage, her fleet was sunk. And with it, her child. And with him, nothing else. Her conviction remained steadfast.
But once a method proves inefficient, it must be recalculated.
Her Revenge could not withstand the French at sea. But Her Revenge was immortal in all other manners. Never-ending in every way that counts.

As a Heroic Spirit, Avenger's My Revenge becomes an axe, specially made to shed the scales of divine beasts such as Leviathans. Creatures made up of the will of an entire people. Divinely appointed servants of God. Like Kings and Queens who wear the protective coat of the crown. With it, she will sink every member of the hunt, until nothing's left to take revenge for. Not even her own self.
By activating this Noble Phantasm, Avenger transforms entirely into a murderous lioness, as her title suggest. Her axe, pressed between her clenched jaws, is a conceptual weapon that "severs the head from the body" as retribution for the beheading of her beloved husband. To cleave the crown from the head of the King of France, and the
    The Head from the Leviathan
    King from his people
, she must first cleave his name from all grace and protection. In this form, the axe inflicts a "Bad Link" effect on the Sea-Monster, weakening their grasp on the material world. As payback, she suffers from the same effect and de-materializes if the attack proves fatal.

    BOND The Soaked
    Mousseline by BnEl
"A monster emerging from the nest of the abyss. Worthless dross. I will make quick work of you before I feed you to the fish... and your eyes will make good companions on my shelf. "

    Napoleon III by Frigix
"It is all the same. A monster in name and in blood. Born of the blood of its predecessors rotten shells. Rising from the ashes of ruination, this abomination too will fall into the vast sea. I look forward to dispose you of your ambitions."

Francis I of France by Marethyu77_
"A manifestation of the Leviathan whom I must bring to the depths, so that it may witness its own demise in its very own domain. I will bring war into its territory and disembowel its fiery guts."

    Louis-Auguste by MuramasaMachII
"It is you. You are the pinnacle of my hatred. The very existence that cursed me, though you were not born yet. No, that creature's name was Philip. Your name is Louis-Auguste. And yet, in every single way that matters most, you are that very abomination. The one who stole the world from my weak grasp. And you will pay by bidding adieu to the sun, and the wind, and the grass that engulfs you and brings you life. May everything you believe come true. Your belief is a sickness unto you."

    Murderers
Avenger does not notice those people who are by no means equal to her enormous foes. The Sea-Monsters that dwell in this plane deserve her undivided attention.

    Author's Note (Sanity Warning)

Small sheet. I don't know if she counts for Killers, but since she did actually just massacre fleets and wished to dedicate her entire life to the murder of a single man, I want to believe she does.
This sheet was made to hate French people. Peace.

Question: How do you kill someone stronger than you? A being so powerful that he stands leagues above humankind.
Answer: By using what he doesn’t know…

    Weakness.

    The Giant Slayer
    Silvius Brabo

“Gee, really? I’m a Heroic Spirit? I know slaying that whale-sized man was pretty tough and all, but it's not like I've done anything else of note... Well, a job's a job. So you're my new boss, eh? The name's Brabo, Silvius Brabo, I'm probably not the Servant you wanted, but we'll have to work with that.”

    Identity

"My story? Oh, I see... yeah, don't worry, I'm not surprised at all. I mean, if you're not from that one specific city, there's no way you'd know me! I'm not like King Arthur or Heracles with their countless exploits... yeah, I just did one 'big' thing. Nothing more."

During the reign of Julius Caesar, it is said that the giant Druon Antigoon guarded a bridge over the Scheldt and demanded heavy and unfair taxes from any ship that tried to pass. Those who refused to pay had their hands cut off and thrown in the river. Naturally, no one dared to confront him. The people of the area appealed to the dictator of Rome for help, and Caesar decided to send a young Roman legionary to deal with the situation. Sometimes described as a cousin or friend of Caesar's, sometimes even as a Trojan, his name was Silvius Brabo.

"Oh yeah, I guess they gave me a little too much credit in the legend? There's no way a friend or cousin of Caesar would be a simple legionary. And let's not talk about the Trojan thing... Hell, it's not like the dictator really cared about that place up north, I admit I was sent there, but not by THE Caesar. You know, that sort of thing is local business, not something Rome has anything to do with. Yeah... I'm not that great, really, mate, I'm just an ordinary legionary."

Brabo approached the giant with only a gladius in his hand. Druon Antigoon was bigger and stronger, Silvius Brabo was in every way weaker than the monster. And yet... he was braver. The soldier and the giant fought a fierce battle, and in the end Brabo emerged victorious. Panting heavily from this unwinnable battle, he cut off Druon Antigoon's hand and threw it into the river. The people of the area could finally live in peace and to honour this day, they named their town "Antwerpen", which means: "throwing hands".

"A hero, eh? I suppose I should at least admit that, although it's not as if the fight was easy. But... how can I put it? If I hadn't been ordered to take care of things there, I never would have fought that monster! You would have to be crazy! But you know... well, when I was standing in front of him, I just had this thought: if no one can beat him, who'll ever put an end to his tyranny? So, yeah, I did the killin' after that. Pretty stupid action on my part, but if it means I get to go to the Throne of Heroes, I guess I should just accept it and profit.”

A story that was only written down during the Middle Age and the 16th century, referring to the city's independence and free trade, Slivius Brabo became the symbol of the small city’s desire to liberate itself from Spanish tyranny.

    Class Skills

Magic Resistance: D Magic Resistance, the ability to cancel Magecraft gained after defeating the Phantasmal Beast Druon Antigoon, paving a way for human civilization to prosper. However, its rank is relatively low.

    "Magecraft? Not by job."
Independent Action: A Independent Action is the special Class Skill given to Archers, it's the ability to stay in this world for some time even without a Master.

The throwing of the amputated hand has become a symbol of Antwerp, symbolising the free waterways, and as Silvius Brabo's legend is about standing up to tyranny, the rank of this skill is high, and it may even be one of the main reasons why he was summoned under the Archer class. Though the truth is that Brabo is actually quite loyal, obeying the orders of his Master to the letter... however if he had to fight a tyrant, he wouldn't give up until his very last breath. At his core, he's a man who fought for the freedom of mankind.

“When you're a soldier, you're used to following orders. I mean, that's literally my job. So don't worry about the details, I'll do what you ask without question. But if you ask me to do something messed up, I'll hate your guts.”

    Personnal Skills

Giant Beast Hunt: D Giant Beast Hunt is a Skill that denotes having abundant combat experience against giant enemy lifeforms.

Slivius Brabo's story is about slaying a giant, so it only seems natural that a hero like him would gain such a skill. However, he is only recorded as having killed one giant. While he does receive parameter boosts when dealing with giant enemies, the rank of this skill remains relatively low compared to much more skilled giant slayers.

“Never was a pro at slaying giants, Antigoon was a headache to deal with. His skin was thick, and he was so big that I couldn't even reach the upper part of his leg! Huh? How did I defeat him? Well... painfully. Though in the end, with good timing, I managed to climb up his body and slit his throat.”
Protection of the Goddess of Travel: C Protection from the Goddess of Travel is divine protection granted by a goddess of travel.

It seems that by freeing the Scheldt, Archer obtained the blessing of the goddess of this river: Nehalennia. A pre-Celtic or pre-Germanic goddess whose cult was protected by the Romans. She was also said to have power over trade, shipping and, probably, horticulture and fertility. Brabo is given a '+' modifier in his luck parameter.

“What? Didn't know I had that kind of blessing! Goddamn it! If I'd known earlier... I wouldn't have stayed a legionary! Seriously, I should have become a merchant and just made some profit! Really... gods are nuts, shouldn't you tell when you're giving a gift?”
Luminous Path: C+ Luminous Path is a skill that illustrates that the Servant is a light that guides mankind, an individual capable of crossing all obstacles to reach his destination. In effect, the Skill acts as an anti-obstruction technique in addition to providing the ability to find the ideal path to reach one's destination.

A Skill obtained thanks to Archer freeing the Scheldt from Druon Antigone's forced toll, and thus allowing ships to travel freely. It is probably also a reflection of Nehalennia's protection of travellers. The Skill increases its effectiveness on maritime routes.

“If it's alive, there's a way to kill it. The tricky part is figuring out how to do it... which way will lead me to victory?”

    Noble Phantasm

    Throwing the Giant’s Hand
    Antwerpen

    Type: Anti-Army~Anti-City
    Rank: C~EX
Human civilization is built on the remnant of the ancients.
We kill monsters, giants and gods, and we use their body as mere stepping stones.

“We’re humans, what else do you want us to do? We’re weak, so there’s no other choice for us but to struggle and use anything at our disposal to win.”

Antwerpen is Silvius Brabo's Noble Phantasm, based on the famous anecdote of his throwing of a giant's hand. Druon Antigone demanded a toll on the Scheldt and cut off the hands of bad payers. Brabo killed the giant, chopped off his hand and threw it into the river. According to this explanation, the name of the city of Antwerpen comes from hand werpen (hand = the hand, werpen = to throw, in Dutch).

Not only a story of retribution, but also of the creation of a city. Conceptually, the Noble Phantasm represents the defeat of "those who once ruled humanity" and the use of their bodies as "the foundation of human civilisation". As a C-Rank Noble Phantasm, Antwerp is the enormous hand of this former giant. By activating this Noble Phantasm, Archer summons this gigantic hand and throws it at his opponent.

"From what I understood from my enthronement as a Heroic Spirit… we are legends. Even if it’s something as minor as mine. We’re stories that fuel human civilization… or something like that."

However, this is not the true function of the Noble Phantasm. The true legend on which it is based is the act of cutting off part of an enemy's body and using it as “the symbol of your legend”, thus turning that part into your very own Noble Phantasm. The reward given to Brabo when he defeats an opponent stronger than himself. If Archer manages to kill a powerful opponent, Servant or not, he can cut off a part of their body (their hand for better results) and use it as a Noble Phantasm. The stronger the opponent, the stronger the projectile.

"Okay mate, I know that look on your face! You think I’m super strong with that ability eh?! Man, you’re completely wrong. You know I’m supposed to beat the opponent before gaining his power right? Right?! And let’s not talk about the mana consumption… I doubt I’ll ever have the luxury to go beyond A-Rank. Which isn’t bad, but definitely not worth the risk. So yeah, don’t get any wrong ideas okay! I’m not doing something stupid because of a misunderstanding! …"

As it is originally a 'city-building' Noble Phantasm, the energy from the body part can also be used to fuel a more creative project. Though Brabo is a soldier, so he doesn't really have the occasion to use his Noble Phantasm in this way.

    Personality

A laid back man who doesn’t really fit the image of a hero. He’s the kind of person who usually does ordinary things, the extraordinary doesn’t interest him one bit and his story reflects that aspect of his personality. He slayed one giant, and then nothing else. Silvius Brabo doesn't want to stand out, or to be more precise, he's not interested in becoming anything more than a human being...

Yes, before being a Heroic Spirit, he is a human.

He's the neighbour you wave to in passing, the colleague who always has a friendly smile, yet beneath this unassuming exterior lies a steadfast dedication to protecting what he holds dear. Striving to live a normal life, he’s someone who protects this human civilization which he enjoys so much. He may not wear a cape or brandish a holy sword, but his commitment to protecting the fabric of society is unwavering. Whether it's lending a helping hand to a neighbour in need, standing up against injustice in his community or killing a giant.

While he is incredibly critical of everything and tries his best to stay out of trouble, his determination is definitely the mark of a hero. And yet... he doesn't see it that way. For humanity is something that is weak, that struggles, that can become cruel when necessary, and whose ingenuity is unparalleled. But somehow they always find a way to survive.

Silvius Brabo is a minor legend of humanity, he’s incredibly weak. But that’s also why he can kill those who are stronger than him. Defeating someone as powerful as Heracles becomes possible with Brabo. For he opens the way to victory, true freedom in the form of a bright flowing river.

"You see, strong people only know strength. We humans know weakness. We understand how fragile our life is, and we know that to kill means to strike one’s weak point. That’s human life for you! We do our best to survive and to aim for happiness!"

Unassuming, fearful, sly and determined… he’s undoubtedly a giant slayer.

    Relationships

Oda Nobunaga "That guy… he’s a breath of fresh air! Yeah, everyone’s way too crazy at Chaldea but him, he’s like the only normal guy! For a moment I was scared I was gonna be alone. Huh? I should meet the female version of him?"
Gilgamesh "No, no, no, I know what you're thinking! You think the weakest Servant should fight the strongest Servant! That someone who specialises in killing those who are stronger than him would definitely win. Well, first of all, I'm not the weakest! I'm just weak, but I'm pretty sure there are much worse Servants than me! ... Probably... And secondly... No. Just no."
Miyamoto Iori “W-Whaa… I mean, I like his fighting style, it's really cool. But he has a few screws loose, right? Yup, definitely. I don’t think we can get along.”
'Rufus" "How do we kill something you can't get close to? Come on mate, the answer is pretty simple. Attack it from a distance.
Luckily I'm an Archer. I can kill it... Maybe... ........... Wait, no, I've changed my mind. You said it could destroy cities?! Yeeeaaah... attacking him seems like the worst possible idea."
Hou Yi "Killing the sun? Yeah, that's a real Heroic Spirit, nothing like myself. Something that transcends humanity and entered the realm of the legendary. I can't be like him. I mean, I can't kill something that isn't alive in the first place!"
Catherine Montvoisin “Poison is clever, good strat.”
Vanagandr "I can slay it. How? Well, if someone has managed to kill it, that's proof that it can be killed. Besides... it was born to be strong, its very existence is capable of defeating the King of All Gods. Something that is naturally powerful... heh! Yeah, it is definitely a monster! It knows nothing of weakness. But don't get the wrong idea, mate, I'm not saying I will kill it. I'm just saying it's not impossible. I mean... have you seen its huge teeth and claws?! Scary... scary scary scary scary!"

    Craft Essence

    Luminous Path: Giant Slayer

    Three broken ribs.
    Fatigue in legs, irregular breaths.
Approximately two minutes of endurance left.
The opponent is unreachable, I can only scratch at his leg.
His physiology mirrors mine, we share weakness.
    His throat.
If I reach it, I will be able to pierce through it and kill him instantly.
    Can I run away?
    No.
    Can I trick him?
    He won’t listen to me.
But can I make him hit where I want?
    Suddenly, a flash.

    There.
    I see it.
    His weak point.
The luminous path that will lead to his death, I see it in front of me.

    Author's Notes

Originally, it was a Servant supposed to appear in my Lostbelt project (the one related to Gargantua for obvious reasons). What I had in mind was David, but better. But the sheer edginess of this contest theme made me non stop think about the “Shiki can kill Servants” thing while I was writing Brabo and I think it has taken over the sheet. Also hey, drawing made by me on ms paint. The idea for the character came when I was doodling on my notebook, and I could not find a more fitting FC than what I had imagined, so please bear with it. The character is pretty simple, I didn’t have much time to do more tbh. Originally I also thought about writing a Simo Hayha sheet (or more like the concept of “White Death”) but since Marethyu called dibs on it I left the idea on the side.

I’m honestly unsure on how much the character makes sense, buh uuuh… clearly this month’s theme is all about “coolness” and “edginess”. Who needs logic?!

Cain: No Nega Skill. No love for Humanity. An NP that’s just literally his own name. This boy did not make a Beast!
This is certainly one of the mid tier Cains on the forum, but that’s not a particularly high compliment considering there are 28 of them. His Skills are pretty boring or standard for him, and the NP is the definition of that. He’s bland and without teeth, but not bad in a technical sense, other than the “not really feeling like a Beast” department.

Hamlet: Dang. Lion King with humans.
Either than a minor gripe with Warrior but Literate being given to him, I really enjoyed Hamlet. The fact that his NP is a coin flip with disastrous consequences and he has E rank Luck is the best.
    “Chances of success: 1%”
    “Sounds like good odds!”
I do categorically disagree with any Servant from a play of Shakespeare having an amicable relationship with him. Just ain’t right.

Diomedes: Remember kids: the blood of your enemies is a part of a balanced breakfast.
I like the theming and metaphors here, her being quite literally hungry for battle. I do think (Chosen Champion) is unnecessary for the Skill and that the anecdote that he is gifted the ability to see through the disguises of gods was a Skill on her, but those are minor. The last thing is that A Taste for Vegetables should have ended when she said the line. The text below the image kinda ruins the resolution a bit.
Overall, I like her. One of my current higher picks.

Amleth Aurvandilsson: Look everyone! It’s Dimitri again! As a… Saber? Uuuuuhhhhhhh…
1: Did we really need to go into so much detail if you weren’t going to make it fun to read?
2: Did we need a picture every minor addition to the sheet?
3: I would’ve loved like, actual descriptions for his Skills and NP, but mostly the NP, because the Skills are as standard as you can get for this kind of Servant, and the NP gets no explanation of what it does.
4: I think it’s worth reiterating that if you’re gonna make it this long, you should make it more interesting to read. If you can’t, just be concise, and you at least won’t bore your audience so much.
    5/10: at least it’s colorful.

    Raden Jipang:
Make no mistake, no one cares about you and when you’re down in a ditch covered in six varietals of diseased piss and need friends the most, that’s when they’ll prove your ultimate truth: the world is dark, and you are alone, and you’ll die as you lived: alone and scared.

I was not expecting multiversal nihilism in the contest, and especially not from Ismail of all people. The other thing I wasn’t expecting was to like it. Don’t actually have a lot to say on this one except that I want to slap her, and that’s probably the correct response.

Hou Yi: Incredibly derivative edition of Hou Yi~♬
I don’t have much to say. It’s a Hou Yi. It’s not bad by any sense. It’s just been done before in a similar manner. Very expected.

    Shamgar: Use stick, get hit.
I see what you’re doing, but you really feel how little there is about Shamgar in this sheet. I enjoyed it for the most part, but those Skill and NP show the stretching done to give him stuff. Not bad by any means, but I see the writer’s strings in the Servant, if that makes sense.

"Frog" & "Scorpion" (Cautionary Tale): Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
I like them. Self-destructive goofs that are trapped in their roles. Also another Servant with the best Skill: Mana Burst (Jump). They aren’t extremely complex, and have the obligatory Nursery Rhyme reference, but I like them.

The Big Bad Wolf: BB Hood is cocking her rifle.
I’m not crazy about her Reality Marble NP, but the umbramancy Skill is pretty neat. I also think the idea of giving a monster morality and guilt, while not particularly unique, is done fairly well here. She’s one of the Servants in this contest that’s just kinda there.

'Rufus' (Demon Core): Oops~. Who left this yaoi paddle here?
Bull reasons for shotafication are indeed bull, but that’s not the most terrible explanation ever given for being humanoid. I also don’t care if you dislike the Fallout series, that’s what Poisonous Presence should have been called. This child deserves not headpats.
    0/10: Wasn’t shota Oppenheimer.

    Váli Odinson: Imposter Among Us
I love that you don’t even try to really explain the Double Summon thing working or its rank. Given the reasoning that’s there and how little the Avenger Skills and angle add, I think it’d be better off without it. Also, I’ll just meme on the NP because I don’t actually like it that much. I’m not entirely surprised, since he doesn’t really seem to feature or do anything outside of Höðr and Loki, and it doesn’t really depend on his character or the actions we know of. Becoming essentially a Pretender while being a sus imposter feels really out of place with the rest of his story you’ve made and comes off more like you didn’t have anything from his legend, so you made up what you thought was interesting, even if it didn’t mesh fully. Overall, I’m very mid on him.

Fenrir: Gods chained up dog that just wanted their love. I’m shocked it ended poorly. Truly.
I like her, and it’s not because she’s a dog. I think she comes together really well, and that the NP is a creative way to implement her bindings with a good counterbalance. Good doggo.

William T. Sherman: Man literally too angry to burn.
I wonder what Eyes of Fission were called in ancient times? Eyes of Eruption?
The fact that his Entity is literally just a being made of fire gave a lot of freedom here, I feel, and his lore kinda uses that to tell it’s own story, which was a little interesting. He’s a Servant you just vibe with.

Yíng Zhèng: A sharp sword comes out of his mouth to defeat the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter and tread the winepress of the fierce anger of God Almighty.
This is the Shadow the Hedgehog of this contest, and definitely the most blatantly edgy sheet. I actually questioned for a bit if he should be as strong as he is but realizing he’s essentially Qin Shi Lily put those thoughts away. This man is fun to read for the sheer commitment to letting him physically cut you with his edge, and while I think there could’ve been a more creative NP for him, I can’t say what we got was bad in any way. I’ve simply been swept away in the wake of unbridled angst.

Jeanne de Clisson: Finally, a Servant for me.
A woman that will literally kill himself just for the opportunity to ruin the entire French royal bloodline. Her entire self is devoted to hating the French, and it is delightful to read. All you need to know about her is communicated purely through her kit, and it works.
10/10: all my homies hate the French.

    Silvius Brabo: Wander but based.
He’s just a dude. A bro. Just a little guy who really doesn’t want to be thrown against the insane odds Chaldea deals with every day. Bro just wants to hang and have a quiet life. Never asked for this. He’s not a cool or crazy as Jack, but he’s certainly more likely to share a drink with you.

I sacrificed a night of sleep for this, I hecking hope it was worth it.

In 1788, a French blacksmith named Mathurin Louschart was killed in his home by a single blow to the head. The act was committed in the blink of an eye, but the feud motivating it had festered for months.

Earlier that year, the deeply conservative Mathurin had apparently taken offense at his son Jean’s newfound ideas about liberty and equality. Jean was vocal about his beliefs, which eventually led to a disagreement that made his father cast him away. However, not content with throwing his son out of their home, Mathurin attempted to punish him further by arranging to marry Jean’s girlfriend, Helen.

Helen’s family was very pleased to give away their daughter to a proper member of the community, but Helen despaired at the prospect of being separated from Jean and shackled to an old man for the rest of her life.

Jean, then, hatched a plan: he arrived one night at his father’s house to rescue Helen and elope with her. But Mathurin interrupted their escape and a fight ensued. Jean lashed out with a hammer, which struck Mathurin on the forehead. The man died instantly.

Despite his protestations of self-defense, Jean was found guilty of murder and sentenced to the wheel.

That punishment, with the condemned strapped face up upon a large wheel and then having their bones broken, had been a common means of torture and execution throughout Europe for centuries. However, more than a thousand years of history came to an unexpected end the day that Jean approached his agonizing fate in Versailles... That, because in the weeks after sentencing, Jean’s fate became a sensationalist cause. Many felt that that was a young man being punished not for an act of violence but for his political beliefs.

And finally, as Jean made his way to the scaffold on the day of his execution, dozens of locals charged forward, seized him and carried him to safety. The authorities were stunned, and the strength of public opinion moved King Louis XVI to issue Jean a royal pardon.

The freeing of Jean Louschart nowadays seems like one small moment of rebellion that swept away centuries of tradition. France never again resorted to the wheel, which suddenly appeared to belong to a very distant past.

Instead, roughly a year after the Louschart case, a new method of execution was presented for the first time—

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is no mere illusion! Welcome to the show!
Magic is the prism through which the ordinary refracts into the extraordinary. And because of that, believe me when I say the world is full of magic things. They are all patiently waiting for your senses to grow sharper.
And when you finally unveil the secrets of magic—
—You’ll come to understand that all tricks are lies, and all magicians are liars.
But that is because such is the essence of magic: to make others believe in a lie.
Ah, you still don’t believe in me?
A magician never reveals the secrets behind their tricks, but who knows... You might just see something behind the curtains if you don’t blink.
Shall we get this show on the road, then?”

    CLASS SKILLS

    Item Construction A

Able to conjure a myriad of objects from his hat—as per part of his show.

A flush of cards so sharp it feels like throwing blades, a flight of doves that will attack an enemy whose wings are as strong as titanium. A blade conjured as if from thin air, coming down with a vengeance. Anything and everything in this world is ultimately a magic trick, a part of this grand show, and the ultimate goal is to always amaze the crowd, those faceless people hungry for a very particular kind of entertainment.

At the door of death, it is not possible to cheat destiny itself anymore—that is the conclusion reached by all those who gaze upon him. The inevitability of his existence is merely being translated into everything he touches. A 「curse」 and a 「blessing.」 And which of those will he choose in the end? The answer will forever elude him.

“Ah, this little trick? This is simple—magic is the architect of dreams, building palaces in the air with the bricks of astonishment. Have I answered your question? No? —Aha, then maybe you just need to watch closely. Here... Watch me again.”

    KEYWORD
    Place de la Concorde

In Paris, the executions by guillotine were a popular form of entertainment and crowds gathered to watch. Vendors even sold programs listing the names of the condemned for the people. However, more than being a spectacle, the guillotine symbolized revolutionary ideals: equality in death, equality before the law.

    Magic Resistance A

Magic is a concept used to describe a way of thinking that looks to invisible forces to influence events, effect change in material conditions, or present the illusion of change. In other words, it is an art of performance. It is to 「cheat the world.」

If mystery is magic, then the one who peers behind the curtains holds the secret to it. It should only be natural, then, that such a person holds a particularly strong resistance to these illusions cast into the world.

Chants and spells, tomes and books, Servants and Mages—all of them are a piece of the same cloth, performers who have their own secrets in order to amaze the crowd. So, rather than a proper resistance to the power of magic, it can be said that Pretender only knows many of these tricks, making it easy for him to recognize a particular brand of magic, a particular set of words, or only a personal touch added to the performance of a magician, and to properly get around those.

“I told you, haven’t I? Seeing is believing. If you control the people, the time and the place—if you control them with such familiarity, as if you’ve known them for longer than forever—then everything will look like magic.”

    KEYWORD
    Pretender

A Class for those who 「play a role.」 While any human can deceive others by bearing false witness or assuming a false name, those of the Pretender Class are such they can deceive the World, even themselves.
「Names,」 as the very first thing given to humans, as a privilege given only to humans, possess an unusual power. By this logic, in changing one’s name or assuming a new role, it is possible to undergo a change in identity altogether.

    Anti-Humanity E

An attribute given to those who goes against the reality of humans, or in other words, the ability to oppose 「Alaya.」 An ability that puts a stop to everything created by humanity, along with the disruption of any laws that work in their favor. A Skill inherent to beings of the Beast Class, marking them as the eternal enemies of mankind, destined to be defeated.

A magician needs a crowd. Magic is but a happenstance in the wide universe if there is no one to watch it, to prove its existence, to marvel in wonder at their possibility. In order to exist as himself, he needs the crowd around him, chanting names and demanding blood.

    And yet—

He is, just as well, the symbol of the violence of the Revolution. His design was intended to make capital punishment more reliable and less painful for the guilty, but it was precisely the easiness of it, the finality of the spectacle, that also made human life so meaningless to the eyes of their fellow neighbors.

By merely existing, Pretender invites that primal hunger, the affirmation found only in numbers, in the certainty of one’s virtue. He invites the end and everything associated with it.

But even then, he will only have meaning for as long as there will be someone out there to watch him.

After all, no one was brought to the guillotine already dead.

“The curtain call comes to all that is alive—even to you. Even to me, one day, yes. But, until this day, keep your eyes peeled and watch carefully... Live every day with wonder. Magic is, after all, a miracle bestowed only by humans, only in order to mesmerize humans.”

    KEYWORD
    Point de vue

At the end of the Reign of Terror, the association with the guillotine embarrassed Guillotin and his family to the extent that they petitioned the French government to rename it. When the government refused, they instead changed their own family name. However, by then, the public already came to associate the creation with the creator—and to believe that he agreed with the blood which fed the guillotine.

    PERSONAL SKILLS

    La Bécane A+

Magic is the art of performance. But, before the performance can begin, a performer must prepare himself: he must know very well his stage, his crew and, above all, his crowd. That is to say, 「to observe」 and 「to understand」 people are fundamental skills in a magician’s repertoire.

Guillotin used to be a doctor. Guillotin used to be a device of murder.

The uncompatible nature of his existence gives birth to a Skill that allows him not only to observe the way a person acts and talks, walk and breathes, moves and feels fear, and from that to gather a precise picture of them, but to also apply this customized, personalized understanding to the knowledge of the inner workings of the human body both as a physician that aims to cure and as a machine that aims to kill.

To make a tool of killing become the beacon of hope in the middle of a violent overturn.

To target vital areas and make one expire as soon as possible, and yet to drag out their demise for as long as possible, if only for the show.

Those were all abilities he really prided himself in, other than the magic tricks he picked along the way—

However, more than anything, what Pretender wants to do is to mesmerize the crowd, the faceless mob who gathered around and chanted for something to make them feel alive. And it is in this irony that lies the strength of this Skill.

“Knowledge is power, as they say... But, Master, a magician must be above even that! After all, which is real? And which is an illusion? The essence of magic is getting people to believe a lie.”

    KEYWORD
    Beheading

In 1795, a letter by a physician who tested this hypothesis with a number of animals, was published in the Moniteur claiming that the guillotine’s victims could survive for several minutes after their beheading. Such information was the ultimate shock for Guillotin, and for the remainder of his life, he deeply regretted that this machine was named after him.

    La Demi-Lune A

The words and gestures necessary to incite a crowd—or, in other words, the powerful charisma of a performer who calls for an assistant to the stage for their next number.

Pretender is a being who dwells in two diametrically opposing spheres, as both a symbol of 「hope and reform」 and a symbol of 「terror and judgment.」

In order to understand people, and in order to control them, one must understand the depths of their darkness. And if there is no darkness to begin with, then one just needs to create it. Such was the philosophy behind the later stages of the Revolution, such was the corruption of a pure ideal once worth preserving. Although the freedom of the masses remained and lived on, the guillotine was buried as the physical symbol of everything unjust that happened in the pursuit of that goal.

The malice of one evil individual is like an epidemic, the spread of its influence could do far worse than just hurting and killing—it could even give rise to another evil by destroying the innocence of another victim.

However, to evolve or to not evolve, that is a prerogative only given to the 「living.」

And the one who walks towards the guillotine is no longer considered that.

A Skill that constantly erodes through words and gestures, through the oppressive strength of a concept alone, the willpower of a victim, leaving their spirit diminished, inviting them to a better place. To a world on the other side of the curtains.

Incidentally, since Servants are either humans themselves or are ultimately aligned with humans in some way, it also doubles as a Counter-Hero Skill in the same Rank.

“Magic is the poetry of impossibilities, a word in the verse of wonder. In the space of a performance, a magician must shatter the barrier between reality and fantasy... Thus, giving the audience a glimpse of the extraordinary! Even though there is not a single thing worth cheering for, a magician must still make their crowd believe there is something to be seen there.
—Yes, Master, magic is ultimately very, very predictable to those who are privy to its particularities. It all comes back to that one and only truth: the essence of magic is forever getting people to believe in what they see in front of them.”

    KEYWORD
    Égalité

The guillotine may have been similar in form and function to other devices, but it broke new ground: an entire country unilaterally adopted this decapitation machine for all of its executions. The same design to all the regions, and each was operated in the same manner, under the same laws, with no local variation. Hope and despair, given freely and equally.

    Guillotin EX

Guillotin’s experiences as a doctor had led him to oppose capital punishment. And as a member of the assembly, at first, he attempted to abolish it, but was ultimately unsuccessful.

At that time, beheading in France was typically by axe or sword, which did not always cause immediate death. Additionally, even the very act of beheading was reserved for the nobility alone, while commoners were typically hanged (a process which could take a long time and brough much suffering to the victim). He decided that, if he could not eliminate executions, he could at least make them more humane.

In 1789, he then proposed that “a criminal must be decapitated solely by means of a simple mechanism.” This mechanism was defined as 「a machine that beheads painlessly.」

On the day of his speech about capital punishment to the city, in order to present his creation to the populace, he said: “Now, with my machine, I cut off your head in the twinkling of an eye, and you never feel it.” This would become the template of the famed guillotine in the collective mind of people.

Towards the end of the Revolution, however, after all the bloodshed and the suffering, the doctor deeply regretted ever creating something so foul that was named after him. He resumed his medical career, but the ghost of his child followed him to his grave.

「A man ashamed of his own twisted influence.」

「A device that only knows how to please a crowd through a spetable of blood.」

And which is the real one? Which is the impostor? The answer is: both and neither, at the same time. Because, to create magic, ultimately, one has to make the world believe in a lie.

    Guillotin is contradiction given form.

A creature born from the memory of the world, without an identity to hold on.

Because of that, he does the only thing allowed to him—he lives for humans, he lives for life itself, for only the living are able to validate his existence.

Only the living ever walked towards him.

“The essence of magic is getting people to believe a lie... And the most important part of this is to control what people 「see.」 Humans, they don’t quite realize how much they expect their eyes to tell them the truth.
—And in the end, what they see is not real. It has all been a show.”

    KEYWORD
    Joseph-Ignace Guillotin

A French physician and politician who opposed the death penalty in France. In the lack of public support for the extinction of a practice that he considered barbaric, he, then, proposed the use of a device to carry out executions in a less painful way than the existing mechanisms. Although he regretted the indiscriminate use of his creation by the end of his life, his name invariably became an eponym for his killing machine.
Popular legends often said that he ironically ended up becoming a victim of his own device, however today it is known that this was a misunderstanding, and simply another victim by the surname of Guillotin, by coincidence, was killed by it.

    NOBLE PHANTASM

A Great Pretender Under the Spotlight
    Le Rasoir National
    Anti-Life
    Rank A

“To my one and only Master, welcome to the show!
We shouldn’t be in this place, you say? But ah, my friend, we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be! Seeing is believing, you know—and that’s because in the eyes of people, magic tricks are like miracles. As for me... I think you know this already, but I prefer to think that miracles are more like magic tricks...
So, keep your eyes open until the end! Blink, and you might just miss it—”

Death has been depicted as the 「king of terrors.」 Such was the descriptive of Bildad, one of Job’s friends, and his sentiment has been shared by countless others through the eons.

There are so many things in life over which humans seem to exercise considerable control. If one’s house burns, one might just rebuild it. If one’s automobile breaks down, it is repaired. Even humans’ physical problems frequently can be remedied via surgery or medication. Yet, each and every one are painfully aware of the fact that death is a persistent enemy, one which humans cannot resist indefinitely.

In this regard, the guillotine has remained as the symbol of an era. It is an immortal concept of equality over everything that is alive—sinners and saints alike are stricken down in the same manner—and it remains as a giver of eternal finality.

Severing evil with evil had been the ultimate judgment act, and the last kindness reserved to those who did not deserve it. To all those who needed it, this contraption had been giving eternal rest in a fair and equal manner. Wiping away judges, juries and executioners, it had been the greatest equalizer of all.

Had a target been sentenced to die, or had it lost its will to live—does it matter, in the end? The curtain call comes for them all.

From the moment a human being stepped into the judgment of the guillotine, they are no longer considered 「living.」 They are, after all, 「guilty.」 Having crossed the boundary of death, instead of basking in life, they become targets. And if there is one thing the guillotine had always done, was to deal quickly and swiftly with the ones given to it.

A Noble Phantasm that enacts eternal rest. Ignoring the will of targets, ignoring their resistances, ignoring even judgment verdicts. There has never been any need to force a target to their place—for they are already precisely where they need to be. Death has always been fair and equal, and yet, stronger than everything.

The last spectacle is but a fanfare. A mystery box that severs the willing assistant.

And the magician who commands this show will never once falter.

    CRAFT ESSENCE

“One day, the curtain call will come for you.

When will this happen, I wonder...

Will you be at peace with your life? Will you feel like there’s so much you still need to do?

Death is as much of a journey as it is life. After all, death is the greatest equalizer.

But tonight, let us forget about this. After all, the show I’m about to present is a celebration of life.

Instead of remembering the bad things, let us laugh, cry and be merry... Let us marvel at the miracle of our meeting—at the magic of an encounter, and everything that happens after...

And then, one day, when the curtains begin to rustle—

When my blade is falling down—

Then, this time, you will show me the greatest magic trick in this world.”

I just felt this was a very sutaa-coded idea, for some reason... Don't ask me why. So, it was only natural that it should have a sutaa-coded code. It also doubles as a Pretender being so fake that he can't even conform to WF's usual formatting style, but hey what do I know. At least, this gave me the opportunity to be very balls to the walls in regards to visuals and maybe I have depleited my stash of Lyney pictures. But! It was for a good cause!

I don't know, I tried to make it seem like you can never quite know where Guillotin the machine ends and Guillotin the man begins, or where he's coping with this magician schtick and where he's actually enjoying himself for once, but as always all my best ideas are defeated by poor execution. They always seem grander in my mind, I swear. But I tried... I really tried...

I might do that thing in which I review everyone's sheets and also write an in-character impression of them in the future, though, because I'm very impressed at the quality of this month's entries. But I really felt this sheet isn't one that allows for a relationship section, I guess this twink just wants to play cards and pretend all by himself. (Or this might be my sleep-deprived impression. That could happen.)

In any case, I hope you guys liked the read, it was an attempt.

    Thank you for your attention!

I love that you don’t even try to really explain the Double Summon thing working or its rank. Given the reasoning that’s there and how little the Avenger Skills and angle add, I think it’d be better off without it.
I just thought I might as well experiment and see what others thought of my reasoning with the skills and Double Summon. If it's that bad, I'd just try not to do it again. And well, you said it's better off without it, so note for the next time I think of a Double Summon /when i redux this guy

Hmm. Well, it was either making his NP cause madness or "among us" NP, and I thought I'd make it the latter because of the fact that I had decided to make Vali Lokason exist when he likely didn't and thus Váli Odinson took his place. Ergo, my logic was, since that was what happened with what I established with the Loki family, that'd mean his "greatest" feat of "killing" Narfi and Loki also involved obscuring Vali's place in history. At least that's the logic behind why I went with the NP. But if that doesn't come through, or that logic is the flaw causing the problem, then...yeah. Again, not surprised that was the sore point.
Though it only just occured to me I could've outright added an anti-Loki aspect or something instead of just

... okay, I'm honestly surprised you said "mid" considering the criticism. I thought "he's bad" or "he sucks" with the way you were going. I mean I just feel like overhauling him (later of course since he's a contest entry...if I still feel like it later) because of the criticism. Wait...unless I'm misunderstanding the slang for "mid" in this context because I am not around people who say that a lot so you are saying it sucks and... ...never mind, I'm not sure where I was going. And I'm still learning to regulate my inner crtic so I can't tell right now if I'm overthinking or not. Well, either way, thanks for the feedback!

    Guillotin:
As a French Revolution fan, I most definitely approve of this sheet. Especially how all of the Personal Skills and and the Noble Phantasm is named after the Guillotine. Very cool.
I was actually thinking of something similar for my entry, with it instead being the spirit of the guillotine possessing Charles-Henri Sanson sooooo I guess I'm thankful I didn't choose it.
    Over all, great sleep-deprived sheet.
