Ζευς Κεραυνιος - Unmatched Lightning-Wielding God

Class: Gatekeeper Alternate Classes: Lancer, Shielder, Lover
True Name: Zeus Keraunos Source: Greek Mythology
    Gender: Male Region: Greece
    Height/Weight: 6’6ft/222lbs Attribute: Sky
Image Color: Electric Gold Armament: Lightning and the Atmosphere

    Class Skills
    -- Open Class Skills --
    Magic Resistance (A)
A level of Magic Resistance that rejects any Magecraft of an A-Rank or below.
As the chief God of Greek Mythology and one renowned for his power, he obviously possesses an exceptional rank in this skill. A modern mage would be completely unable to touch him, and even the most exceptional mages of Classical Mythology would be unable to effect Zeus with his magecraft.
Against Anti-Divine abilities, Zeus’ Magic Resistance is considered to be D-Rank.

    Independent Action (A+)
A level of Independent Action so great it twists the very laws of the Holy Grail War. The support of a Master is utterly unnecessary for Zeus, who is able to even expend great amounts of Mana without worry.
In order to qualify as a Gatekeeper, a Servant must possess a High Rank of Independent Action. As a Gatekeeper, the Servant’s primary purpose is to be [A Challenge to Be Overcome]. As such, they cannot hold such pedestrian weaknesses as an outside power source, and must be able to fight - even if not at their full strength - under their own power. As such, it could be considered a Class Skill of Gatekeepers in the same way it is for Archers.

“This is the only sign of my true class, Master. Gatekeepers do not possess a unique class skill. Rather, we are distinguished by our Noble Phantasms most prominently. The purpose of a Gatekeeper is to serve as an overwhelming opponent. Announcing that unique privilege is at the discretion of the Gatekeeper, hence our ability to hide our class.”

“Why do this? Simply put, convince on our behalf. Immense power brings immense attention. Announcing yourself as the “final” opponent may encourage people to want to break sequence - viewing the Gatekeeper as an opponent to be surmounted at their leisure rather than at the end of their journey. Of course, any Gatekeeper is free to throw this caution to the wind and announce themselves. It is simply flexibility in executing our duty.”

    Personal Skills

-- Open Personal Skills --Divine Core of the Chief God EX
A skill representing Zeus’ place as the chief god of the Theoi.
Zeus’ place at the top of the hierarchy of Greek Gods was reassured by his awesome power, an inexhaustible, untamable raw power which few gods could match. In Greek Mythology, he is presented as the only being who could defy the bounds of Fate, but would not thanks to the ire it would draw from the other Olympians.
This skill replaces the [Divinity] Skill that Zeus would otherwise obviously possess, and grants him extra damage against those who possess Divinity less than his (as Zeus’ Divinity is Ranked EX, in order to not take extra damage from this skill, they must also possess Divine Core of the Chief God at the Rank EX).
The inverse is also true, with Zeus taking exponentially less damage from those with lesser ranks in Divinity than him. Those without a Divinity skill will always have a flat 85% damage reduction when attacking Zeus.
Curiously, this skill has quite the noticeable drawback: as Zeus’ takes extra damage from Anti-Divine attacks, and they are exempt from the damage reduction effect of this skill, nor does he gain extra damage when striking them.
Do mistake this for meaning they are a “surefire counter” to the King of the Gods, however. After all, hubris is ever the enemy of man.

    Protector of Hospitality (A)
Xenia, the Ancient Greek concept of Guest Friendship, often understood as “hospitality”.
In Ancient Greece, to treat a guest poorly was considered an offense to the Gods themselves. So highly valued was xenia in the Ancient Greek mind that it was attributed to Zeus himself, so that a breach of it would be elevated beyond even a crime against the gods to a personal offense to Zeus.
As such an important part of Zeus’ identity, it is represented by this skill.
When facing someone who has violated “hospitality”, Zeus’ attacks will be doubly effective against them. Notably, one does not need to violate solely the laws of Greek hospitality to become the target of this skill. It may be more accurate to this skill as one that punishes those who “reject the social fabric that binds men together”.

    Bearer of the Aegis (A)
The legendary shield of Greek Mythology, wielded by Zeus and Athene. While Zeus passed the physical shield onto his daughter, its physical authority is still his to wield.
A defensive skill par-excellence, with only B-Rank Noble Phantasms or Anti-Divine Skills able to pierce the barriers created by this skill.
While Zeus will typically use this ability in its defensive capacity to absorb attacks, he will not shy away from using this skill offensively, sending an Aegis Barrier forward to knock back an enemy or even crush them between two Aegis Barriers. Even during defense, Zeus remains an ever-deadly opponent.

    Noble Phantasm
    -- Unleash Noble Phantasms --
Smiting Wrath of the Descending God
    Lambrandeus Keraunos

    Rank: A
    Classification: Anti-Unit~Anti-Army

    God of Thunder
This is what Zeus is most famously known as. A Sky God wielding his invincible thunderbolts, whose power is utterly irresistible.
This Noble Phantasm is a crystallization of his authority.
This Noble Phantasm is what allows Zeus to fulfill the class requirement of a Gatekeeper Class Servant: an overwhelmingly powerful Noble Phantasm which may be deployed as a “Basic Attack”. Not a Noble Phantasm that is always manifested but only unleashes its true power when its corresponding true name is invoked. Rather it must be a Noble Phantasm that is so easy for the possessing Servant to use that they rarely attack without it. An example of another Noble Phantasm that fulfills this requirement would be the Treasury of a Certain Golden King.
This Noble Phantasm allows Zeus to exercise his power of lightning and skies. Most commonly, this Noble Phantasm takes the form of lightning bolts. Zeus can either through them or cause them to strike from the sky. Each bolt of lightning will strike with the force of an A-Rank Attack. As they are lightning bolts, these strikes are as swift as they are powerful.

Final Judgement of the Mightiest God
    Deukalion Kataklysmos

    Rank: EX
    Classification: Anti-World

“It appears you were foolish enough to disappoint me. If you wish to maintain any shred of dignity, die quickly, so that you do not take too many people with you."
    The Flood Myth.
One of the most famous and recurring patterns in Mythology, when the gods grow angry with mankind and use horrific storms and irresistible floods to destroy it - leaving only a few survivors to rebuild.
Needless to say, this is a Noble Phantasm with the capacity to destroy the world - the second requirement of the Gatekeeper class. Mirroring the myth of Lykaon and allowing for Zeus’ Class of Gatekeeper, this Noble Phantasm must reach one of two conditions to be used.
Condition One: This Noble Phantasm can only be used against a Servant marked by Zeus’ [Protector of Hospitality Skill]
    Or
Condition Two: This Noble Phantasm can only be used against a Servant who has dealt serious damage to Zeus.
Once used, Zeus’ full authority as the God of the Sky is unleashed and the heavens open up. Blistering winds immediately descend upon the area, forks of lightning striking every which way. Only after clouds have darkened the sky, obscuring the sun so ferociously that one would swear it was night, only able to see by the explosions of lightning surrounding oneself…
Only after all of that shall the rain come.
The rain comes so swift and heavy that it can not even be described as a “rain”, but rather “a vertical flood”. It is entirely possible that weaker opponents will be crushed simply by the force of the falling water. Between the winds tearing from all angles, the lightning exploding in the air, and the water crushing from above like gravity itself, the scene can only be described as the sky itself waging war against those this Noble Phantasm has been unleashed against.

    History

-- Open History --The Supreme God of Greek Mythology, vanquisher of Kronos and Typhoeus, mightiest of the Olympians, and father of Heroes. To some, he is the image of a wise god and king, a father of the universe. To others, he is the very meaning of the word “tyrant”.
The youngest born son of Kronos and Rhea, Zeus was rescued from the fate of his siblings via being substituted with a rock. Thus, Rhea was able to raise him in secrecy, raising him with the sole purpose of rescuing his siblings and usurping his father.
After growing up, Zeus deceived his father and rescued his siblings, beginning the Titanomachy War. Thanks to the aid of Kyklopes and the Hekatóncheires, Zeus was able to harness the Authorities of himself and his siblings and overcome his father’s power. In particular, the Kyklopes would help to forge part of Zeus’ Authority into the form of a weapon: his thunderbolt.
After defeating Kronos, Zeus would use his thunderbolt many other times throughout Greek Legend. He struck down the mighty Typhoeus when he rose against Olympos, he fought on the frontlines with his son Herakles during the Gigantomachy, and he used his lightning bolt against wicked mortals like the cannibalistic Lykaon.
Throughout the Classical Era, Zeus remained a widely worshipped God, manifesting in various forms across the different inflections of Greek Religion, Legend, and Philosophy. Some imagined him as a capricious, vengeful entity, others as a stern yet loving father. Some imagined it as utterly perfect, a platonic ideal of universal force. He would be syncretized with other gods and he would largely be adapted by the Romans as Jupiter.
Eventually, Zeus, along with the other Olympians, would fully fall out of favor with the people who had once worshipped them.

Personality and Wish for the Grail

-- Open Personality and Wish for the Grail --Zeus is, in many ways, exactly what one would expect from the King of the Greek Gods.
Disgustingly arrogant and dismissive, lustful, and wrathful when angered. The sort of Divine Spirit who simply radiates the idea of “a god feared rather than a god loved”.
Zeus is also, in many ways, not quite what one would expect from the King of the Greek Gods.
Easily amused by simple frivolities, friendly with those who show no reverence to him as a god, and quite generous. The sort of energy that an uncle you are always excited to see cultivates.
These two aspects of his personality balance each other out. The wrathful god is tempered by his enjoyment with simple entertainments. The generous relative is sharpened by the self-importance of won who knows his own power above all else.
Altogether, some may compare his personality to that of a father of whom, while certain strong gripes exist, you cannot help but to have fond memories of.

“My wish for the Holy Grail? Why, I don’t have one.”
“Oh, are you surprised? I’m sure you are. After all, a tyrant like me ought to desire their throne returned, no?”
“No, indeed! I have no need for a wish-granter to restore my throne!”
“With my power, the Grail might as well already be mine, and as a Gatekeeper, I’m supposed to serve as a challenge to others, not solely pursue my own goals.”
“Yes indeed, Master. I think you’ll find my wish granted if there is a foe powerful enough to gain the treasure I guard…perhaps it’ll even be you! Hahaha!”

    Relationships

    -- Open Relationships --Heracles (Berserker)
“Ah, that’s my favorite son. Hmmm, shame that he doesn’t seem to be in the state of mind for conversation. I shouldn’t be surprised that he is eligible to be of the Berserker Class, however, his step-mother did treat him quite terribly. Still, he was quite exceptional. Even if he weren’t my son specifically, I would be overwhelmingly proud of him.”

    Nicholas Tesla
“Oho…a scientist who claims to have mastered my domain, huh?”
“Utterly magnificent! I shall have to do battle with him right this moment! His claim must not go unchallenged, after all, especially as I am here to do it in person!”

    Barbara Walker (Marethyu77)
"...Get the fuck out of my sight."

    Stanley Kubrick (BnEl15)
"So you're some sort of...poet of the modern day, I take it? ...No, you're more akin to a Tragedian...no. No, no, no! All of those comparison undersell you. Clearly storytelling has moved on past what I know. As a God, I order you to tell me more about these new form of entertainment so that I may accurate gauge whether you're worth the hype you give yourself!"

    Darwin's Demon (MorgVanDestro)
"*whistles*, Now ain't you something! A demon you may be, but there's something quite heavenly about you. Let me tell you, Launcher, I'll accept your challenge anytime."

    Zeus-Conius (BaronMagus)
"Well, well, well, if it isn't...me! Just as charming as ever. The forms we've adopted this time are quite...handsome. Haha...very well. I shall give you a demonstration of our prowess afforded to me in my class container if you return the favor by showing off yours."

    Scepan Mali (MorgVanDestro)
"The scent of falseness is on you, Tsar. You may challenge me nevertheless. There was a truth to your life that I will respect by bringing my full power against you, should you ever decide to challenge me. You, of course, would be wise to do the same, Savior of Montenegro."

    Queen Amina (Vididii)
"A tyrant to the core, I see. I've seen many like you in my day, been accused of being one myself, not without due cause, I'd argue. Should you desire Tell me, Queen, do you think yourself fit to accept my challenge?"
"I'll warn you that I may treat your challenge as a bit more personal than others. Your class...your talk of the soul...it reminds me of
    Lykaon
    someone
. Someone who made me...quite, quite angry once. So, at the risk of shaming myself by bringing such a personal matter into my responsibilities...if you face me as you are, you shall be reminded off your place within the pack, mortal!"

    Nimrod (MorgVanDestro)
"...Do you still walk the same path you once did, Nimrod? I ask because it will be the greatest determiner of your fate, after all. If you maintain your conviction from back then, then feel free to challenge me all you like. If challenge me because that is simply what is expected of you, expecting some different result than your last challenge to the heavens...than you will have surely earned the name Nimrod, wouldn't you?"

    Ages of Man

-- The Sky God's Dream --The Great God Zeus ruled over 5 Ages of Man, according to the poet Hesiod.
The Greeks conceptualized the progression of these Ages as a bad thing. That life grew harder and shorter with each passing age, far from the immortal, ever-attended beings they were in the Golden Age.
Zeus, who ended the Golden Age by dethroning his father Kronos, harshly disagrees.
For humans could barely be called humans under the reign of Kronos. They were dogs, plain and simple. They had no need for names nor families and thus had none. Humans were nothing but perfect statues.
Wandering Kronos’ Greece during his youth, Zeus decided that, alongside freeing his brothers, preventing this stagnant world from ever appearing again would be his greatest goal.
Thus, when he attained it, Zeus’ guarded his reign jealousy, using every method to defeat fate’s effort to continue the cycle started by Ouranous and Kronos. He split power with his siblings rather than hoarding his power - following the rules and expectations laid out for him by his siblings and eventual worshippers.
Because, he thought, by doing so, no one will ever rule as I or my father have again. Things must progress down a different path from here.
Yes, he overstepped his bounds at many points. He at first endeavored to make life harder for humans than was necessary and Prometheus was forced to step in.
He often grew too attached to mortals and vindictively lashed out at some while over-favoring others: often hurting every party involved.
But Zeus, ever successful, ever mighty, ever unstoppable Zeus, was successful in the end. The so-called miserable Age of Iron exploded into the Age of Man, leaving even that unstoppable god behind, and so long as mankind keeps moving forward into the clear skies, his dream shall remain alive.

    Author's Note and Gatekeeper Stuff
    - In spite of being a literal top god, there's an arguement that this is bar none my most wanked sheet and likely to remain that way for a while (or at least I wank a sheet that's starting from a less impressive beginning)
    - But definetly my most intentionally overpowered sheet
    - And that was by design.
    - As Gatekeeper was originally meant to be Gilgamesh's class before he was simply rewritten to be a second Archer, I decided to use him as the model.
    - So, Zeus has similar Class skills to a base class, just with Independent Action added. While Gil in FSN Proper got his IA from a combo of being Incarnated and being an Archer, I decided to repurpose it for Gatekeeper so they'd have at least one class skill.
    - Defining the Gatekeeper Class through their Noble Phantasms was another thing inspired by Gil, particuarly the idea that Gatekeeper's should be "Final Boss Characters" - hence why Zeus is so disgustingly strong...outside of being Zeus
    - Outside of the mechanics of the thing, the idea behiend Zeus' characterization is mostly summed up in his Bond CE. Mankind started drifting further away from the "Golden Age" after Zeus took power, but in the Nasuverse, mankind progressing past the Age of the Gods is a good thing, so I decided "why not make that an explicit part of Zeus' character".
    - And from there developed out the rest of this take on Zeus.
    - His sideburns were inspired by Ryoma Nagare Getter Robo
    - I hope y'all have a good day/night!

We really both thought of who to pseudo for Zeus/what to use as a basis for faceclaim and both selected Gilgamesh.

    Actual shared braincell moment.

Also, onto the sheet, I like your interpretation of Gatekeeper. It's similar to mine and just uses different methods to accomplish it.

Not to mention yours really pulls off that OP Super Final Boss behind a secret cutscene energy. Absolutely love it.

Ah and your format is absolutely clean.

Maybe I'm only noticing it now but I like how... neat your collapses are.

    All in all, nice sheet.

Just thought I'd check first, but is it alright for a full on newcomer--me--to participate in this?

I do have an idea I think could work for it.

Well, I used Gil more as the model for his Class/Mechanics rather than the design himself, but it is pretty funny we both turned to Gil in some fashion!

    And thank you!

    That is good to hear.

Seeing all the wonderfully done sheets really was getting me pumped to join in, not to mention all the formatting.

A mix of intimidating and wanting to make stuff on that level. It's all so pretty.

Now to figure out these collapses....

It really feels weird that people are so hesitant to join not from fear of not being good enough, but that is an exclusive club thing. I remember when I started that I didn't check with anyone, and it was my second sheet ever. To think perception has changed that much in 4 years.

Because that's the impression we give off.
It's not like that because we're not gatekeeping participation or anything, but anyone coming into the forum is going to see 15 or so users who've been here for like 3+ years and know each other enough to have inside jokes and shit. Forums are intimidating, it's natural to ask.

(I originally wrote 5+ years but I can't even say that holy shit, you're all babies.)

Yeah. I remember I was intimidated too. Though that's partially because that's how I feel in general when dipping my toes into anything new...but still! I agree with pine's point.

Thanks for the welcome, and oh! I do actually have a question, though may be a silly one.

When it comes to Class skills for the fan/fanon reliant classes, is it acceptable to take from past sheets which have established specific skills for the class?
Or should I just create something unique of my own for it?

I'm kind of flipping between Gunner and Launcher at the moment, though the former probably makes more sense for who I'm doing.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
    Why?
To get to the other side!
    Hahaha... Nice one!
    Why else?
Why, there's obviously something to be found over there.
    The other side?
It's probably a euphemism for death, no?
    Must be.

The heart begins to pound, her head rolls to the ground, and the road seems so far away.
A chicken once survived 18 months without a head, hadn't he?
    "That's a rooster!" So? She's a female rooster.
That little fella hadn't crossed the road for eighteen months. She crosses it every day, doesn't she?
She would've taken a breath, stilled herself, prepared herself for the journey. But she couldn't. Obviously, she was beheaded.
Very far away, after her body made all the necessary journeys, a child would be enjoying her very much. All breaded and battered.
The child would cry very hard, because his chicken nuggies keep asking him questions in his dreams.
    What a terrible whisper.

The Chicken is waking to a workday at a restaurant, where guests treat themselves to a buffet.
There's a scheme somewhere, otherwise it probably wouldn't raise a profit. She doesn't question it, because she's not paid enough to pay attention.
The Chicken wakes up, as she always does, and rides the bus to work, to do the bare minimum. She takes the plates and brings them to the backrooms, where someone she doesn't speak to very often cleans them.
The graveshift made her sick of restaurants. She's never going to order ever again. The stench of restaurants makes her want to serve herself on a plate, with lemons and green roots on the side.
She gets thirty minutes to rest, but she doesn't decide when. Her boss keeps giving her breaks early-on in her shift. One hour in. Two hours in. Three hours in.
She doesn't need a break so early. She needs it late.
Her eyes meet a guest. She walks to take his plates. Something makes her trip.
...a car begins to pulverize her. Better luck next time.

    Questioner
    —The Road Crossing—

Alias: The Proverbial Chicken Class: Questioner
True Name: The Chicken Who Crossed the Road Source: 1847 edition of The Knickerbocker
    Gender: Female Region: Worldwide
Armament: Beak & Claws Attribute: Earth

    BOND The Chicken
    Class Skills

    Lawgiver — E
The law of nature proposed by Questioner.
"Why does the chicken cross the road?" This question concerns a distinct individual, uttered by many as a nonsensical empty signal.
The desire to unearth the answer exists for one fraction of a moment, then decimated by the colloquial answer: to get to the other side. Such questions, raised only to be squandered, cannot exist outside the self that is up for debate. As such, Questioner's law of nature is centralized around her, within her, and does not extend to others, including the Master.
Since there is only one person whose input is relevant for this Law of Nature, in a sense not unlike internalized Marbles, just about anything can materialize without much push-back from the world. Questioner, relying on the ambiguity of her "answer", relishes in the interpretations of others. The further one goes in questioning her purpose, her intentions, and her journey, the broader the phrases 'chicken' 'crossing' and 'the road' becomes. If one begins questioning any of these three aspects, they are privy to change, such that the "chicken who crossed the road" might become, in certain situations, "the man who oversees the road to Asgard", or "the angel who guards the gates of heaven."
To what extent may the chicken cross the road? And to what ends?

    And why?

BAD END: YGGDRASIL INC. IS ASLEEP.

"I apologize on behalf of my husband, Mr. Eagle, he didn't wake up on time. Verdrfolnir has always been a grump in the morning, you know, and I had to do a double-graveshift yesterday, so I couldn't help him wake up..."
Yggdrasil has collapsed. Niddhogr having lacked communication with the eagle all morning, in his boredom, destroyed the world.

Burden of Proof (Ethos) — A-
Burden of Proof denotes the natural inclination of the Questioner Class towards resolving issues through dialogue.
Questioner does not care about any tree of dialogue but her own. In that sense, she's quite defensive about her points of views, and lacks in offense.
By purchasing a powerful ethos, Questioner lays all her eggs in one basket: her self-confidence and layered ego. So long as she remains steadfast in her journey to the other side, no matter what lays there, no matter why she goes there, she retains great defensive walls that push away numerous spiritual ailments. The more elusive her journey, the more assured her destination becomes. To deny her the journey, one must refrain from wondering in the first place.

    Personal Skills

    Anti-Humor Order — EX
The ability to put a stop to everything relating to the humoral medicine, or human emotions and behavior, as well as the laws regulating one's response to emotional stimulants (jokes, provocations, confessions, etc). The Chicken Who Crossed the Road is the epitome of anti-humor, postulating a question as if it were a set-up for a punchline, only to replace that with a dry, bland statement of fact. The generic nature of the exchange, "Why did the chicken cross the road?" "To get to the other side", allows Questioner a vastness of reach.
In a sense, this Skill neutralizes all suspension of disbelief given to certain situations by The World, like a supernatural alarm bell that snitches on things that go against the norm. As such, it is extremely potent against illusions, Pretenders and Fakers, Fairy Tale Servants (especially those born from the compilation thereof), and Servant Universe characters. Parody characters cannot be summoned in Questioner's vicinity, and a certain "atavistic vampire chicken" is instantly debuffed by the demerit Skill "Liz Must Die", which forces her into the Assassin Class.
If Questioner were to be summoned as 'Chicken Who Crossed the Road' Alter, this skill would be replaced with "Humor Order".
"Why did the Chicken cross the road?" — Alter Answer: "Because she wanted to get to 'the other side'."

Crossing through Worlds (Roads) — C
A variant of a personal skill that has been awarded to a certain poet for traversing Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. She, too, has treaded all those plains before, in theory. Questioner is not one to dwell on certain worlds, for she has no interest in their peculiarities—instead, she is a path-carver who can connect between worlds by desiring to cross their designated roads, even those who normally deny human access, such as the Heavenly Gates or the Bifrost. To traverse one of the paths carved by Questioner, a person must elucidate her reason for "getting across the road." The Chicken always has a reason.

    Cockfighting Arts — B
Possessing a healthy routine of crossing roads, the Chicken's legs are sturdy as steel.
It is a chicken's nature to fight to the death, to pluck the eyes of her foes with the sharpness of her claws.
The amorphous mystery surrounding her, a cloud of uncertainty akin to a mental 'trivial objection', allows her to distract her foes, then go for the kill.
A Daitengu might have a different name for these Arts.

    Wait... What?

BAD END: CROSSED TOO CLOSE TO THE HEAVENLY PALACE.

"Does she remind you of anyone?" The She-Serpent sneers at her son.
Wow! It appears the chicken has attained the pinnacle of avian potential. Which one of you questioned whether she possesses divine nature, you sick bastards?

At The Boundary (Road) — E
A Skill of those who walk the Valley (Road).
Akin to the Hero's Journey plotting of character arcs, the Chicken's journeys have very specific "plot points" that one can point towards and calculate easily.
At a certain moment in her journey, in the very middle between two lanes, the Chicken is one with death, completely inseparable from the boundary between the living and the dead.
She can abuse this moment as an invulnerability frame to trick others into wasting their best moves. A Chicken Who Crosses the Road must keep her cards close to her chest, lest she not get to the other side.

    BOND The Road
To Get to the Other Side
    The Chicken Crosses The Road

Does the Chicken cross the road to get to the other side?
Or else, does she get to the other side to cross the road?
Does one work to live, or live to work? Does one eat to live, or live to eat? Does one love to be happy, or is one happy to love?
The sequence of actions is very important to ordinary people, who cannot perceive their lives as fluid moments merely put together by a beholden hand.
What happens when one enters the journey, yet returns to the same side? Many would say that this is the proverbial "failure". The failure to journey, the failure to achieve, the failure to perfect oneself.
The Chicken Who Crossed the Road is not afraid of failure, only of inertia. So long as she picks herself up by the bootstraps, she'll get somewhere, and she'll be satisfied.
It doesn't matter where she gets, how dreadful the road may look, how wasteful it may be to memorize its forking paths.
A 'chicken' has three toes, and a claw—one, points forward; one, points towards traffic; one, points away from traffic; one, points backwards.
When her Master mounts her, they're given a choice to make: "Where shall she cross?"
To and fro 'traffic', the Chicken creates a path to an 'alternate timeline' wherein a certain event is avoided.
Onwards and backwards, the Chicken avoids the events occurring in the 'current timeline'.

Perhaps to use this 'Noble Phantasm', is to misunderstand the very point of Questioner.
    As such, after using it—

Author's Note ("You wouldn't make a sheet about the chicken who crossed the road" Warning)

I would definitely make a sheet about the chicken who crossed the road.

She's a questioner because she represents the desire of all human beings to cross certain roads to "reach the other side." We put up roads and force ourselves to walk them. Those who stand around too long are going to be hit by traffic.
Deal with it. + comment bellow "wow salt I hate this idea" if you GUARANTEE a 3 POINT VOTE! (this is a binding contract, which you don't necessarily need to have read for it to be enforceable.)

Welp. Here it is. My "stupid idea" as a sheet.
...it still feels like i made shit.
oh well that's what i get for hyperfixating on a "stupid idea" because of one sheet
either that or i just need more time to get back into the groove of making sheets
...also no i havent read any sheets besides one sheet so will do relationships (and hopefully comments too) later...

    "...hey, Lovey?"

    "Y-Yes, Keeper?"

"Do you think there's a point to this?"

    "...what do you mean?"

"...is there a point for fakes like us to be helping real people like Master?"

    "What? Of course there is."

    Love.

An emotion considered so powerful in humanity it has endured across the ages as a driving force across its actions. An force so powerful that it has led to the creation of
    sins
    the Beasts.

And yet, love alone cannot move the earth. It was man's strength and ingenuity that had them create ways to do so. Love cannot cure the diseased. It was man's knowledge and curiosity that had them find the remedies that could cleanse them. Love cannot bring back the dead. Even now man does not have the power to truly do so. Not without heavy costs.

So what point is there for a Servant, a being made for war and conflict, to have a class made up of only love?

What is the point of being a Lover in a war?

    ══════════════════════

"Well well well. Looks like we're actually up for the playing field, Lovey!"

"...Keeper, please... Can you save the nicknames for at least after we introduce ourselves...?"

"Nope! But let's get on it anyway."

"sigh... O-Okay... At least we can start. Ahem."

    "We are Gatekeeper."

    "We are Lover."

"We are the Servant you have summoned for this Holy Grail War, the card you have drawn from the deck that is the Throne of Heroes."

"I hope we can get along."

"And I will do my best to help you."

    Gatekeeper A

    The Gatekeeper class.

A class of defenders, those who stand their grounds more like guards against intruders than shields for someone to stand behind, thus distinguishing themselves from their Shielder counterparts.

    Or...a class of trials.

Summoning one means that one shall engage in the trials they create or lead you through. Instead of guarding the gates of a place, they are the guides through the passageway that is life, with its many doors and many obstacles in the way.
To be a Gatekeeper means to have the skill to guide one through the gates they see.
Each Gatekeeper's trials are unique, each with their own lessons to partake in so they may impart their Masters a reward for their journey. Most went through their own journeys, overcoming them, and wish to guide another through their path until the reach the same end. Others might instead stand as one of the obstacles their ward must overcome, wanting to control their fate and have them prove themselves under their own parameters. And some might have failed their journeys, and wish instead to push others to beyond the few heights they had managed to reach before their fall.

But what of someone, or rather something, that has never even taken their first step?

What sort of trial could a manifestation of a card from a Tarot deck give to you, someone who has already made your own steps?

    ══════════════════════

    Object of Desire A

    Simple.

    You must win their heart.

Whether as a friend, or a lover; whether it is the woman, the man, or even both, they are the goal that you must reach; the prize that is to be won; the princess that is saved at the end of a fairy tale.
trial the place is the trial that all people must face if they reach out their hands:

The trial of having a relationship.

You are not the only one with their eyes on them.

The woman is enchanting, both elegant in her poise, and yet fiery with her ferocity. She is both the beautiful princess that many wish to woo and the proud warrior that many others wish to entangle with.
The man is charming, gentle in his manner but steadast in his soul. He is both the romantic prince many wish to be held warmly by and the cunning king that others wish to match swords with.

    ══════════════════════

Suit of the Wind, Arms of the Healer A

With their connection to wind, they are able to wield it as freely as a street magician playing it before a captive audience and fiercely as a master sorceror tearing it through their enemies as if ordering a typhoon.
With their connection to Raphael, the archangel, they are able to heal with a chalice that holds curative water, and bear arms, be it lance, sword, or even gun, with experience and strength.

    ══════════════════════

    Cartomancy (Relationship) D++

With their connection to Tarot, they have the knowledge to utilize a Tarot deck, any kind of Tarot deck, and use it to divine the future for allies, or themselves if they so wish.
While not skilled in most types of readings, there is one type that they are uncannily accurate towards, and it is a type that many go to Tarot for: love readings.

Desirable to those who wish for beauty.
Desirable to those who wish for an ally.
And desirable to those who are lost in love.
There are many reasons for the two to be, if not coveted, then draw the interests of others besides you.

And perhaps the most troublesome trait that makes it all the hard to win their hearts is how they hold each other in the highest regard.

    ══════════════════════

    Devotion EX

    A king to his queen.
    An empress to her emperor.
    A love to a love.

It is not just a loyalty to the other borne from being made to be together.
    It is an understanding of who they are at their best;
    who they are at their worst;
and who they are the rest of their days.
The man is unwavering in his beliefs, but cautious in applying them. He sometimes seems as if a coward, unable to push forward thanks to his astute mind being able to see much to help him understand, as well as make him fear the consequences.
The woman is passionate in her endeavors, but reckless in indulging them. She sometimes seems a mindless brute, doing whatever she wants regardless of the aftermath if she feels it was worth it in the end.
The man believes in the good of others and the woman believes evil lurks beneath each and every one.
When he makes a choice, nothing can change his mind. When she makes a choice, she often wonders if she was in her right mind.
They know this of each other and more.
This is the kind of devotion born from love: the understanding of all of the other's traits and accepting them all, both strengths and flaws.

And so if one were to succeed their trials, such devotion would be directed at you, their Master.

    ══════════════════════

    Trial Defense A

But it is never that simple.

For summoning them means you are the kind of person that will find it difficult to get along with one, the other, or even both.

You might hate the woman's recklessness.
You might hate the man's cowardice.
You might hate the woman's strength.
You might hate the man's cunning.
You might hate the woman's indeciveness.
    You might the man's stubborness.
You might hate how easily one accepts the flaws of the other.

And nothing will make it easy for you to get close to them.

You cannot peer into their minds in hopes of knowing exactly their thoughts.
You cannot intimidate or bribe or even curse them into loving you.
And you cannot have even Servants influence them, barring perhaps anything akin to fate itself, to get close to you.

You must reach out to them.
You must learn who they are.
And you must in turn let them know who you are yourself as well.
For if trust is a two-way street,
then love is the neighborhood that only you can build together.

    So who are they?

    ══════════════════════

    The Lovers A

The sixth card of the Major Arcana.

They are, as their name suggests, a card that focuses on love.

While the imagery on the card has changed over time, one having the archangel Raphael, another with children and armaments, and yet another with two women to chose between, there has been one thing consistent through it all: there is at least one man and one woman on it.
In other words, the love one holds for the one they see at the most beloved.
A married couple in all that matters.
They are very affectionate towards each other, through both loud declarations and quiet support. They exasperate each other, the man thinking the woman too reckless or too sarcastic, and the woman thinking the man too nervous and too optimistic. They balance each other, the woman pushing the man when he needs to leap and supporting him when his fears are true and heavy, the man holding her back when she needs to clever and reassuring her when her doubts turn wild instead.
    They are both
    the Lover class
    a vessel of love
    and
    the Gatekeeper class
    a manifestation of its trials.

They are one as two and two as one.
They both know the other's thoughts and actions as equally as their own.
And they both know that to reach this level is to understand the choices one makes in such a relationship.

For in the Fool's Journey, as the sixth step,
they have taken the knowledge gained of their talents from the Magician,
how to nurture from the Empress,
how to wield authority from the Emperor,
and of their traditions from the Hierophant,
and now must decide what to keep and what to discard.
in the trial that is maintaining a relationship with someone just a complicated in person as yourself.
For love is not an easy journey.
Love itself is a trial of its own.
    Deciding how to approach another
Deciding what you wish to know about them
Deciding what you wish to let them about you
Deciding what to do about their strengths and flaws and quirks
Deciding what to do with your own
And deciding whether it is all worth it...
Those are the choices and trials that the Lovers embodies.
And those are what tribulations they overcome.
Because love is not for cowards.

    Vinculum igni fictum
The Fool's Sixth Step Into Love

And so it is only when you have reached an understanding, becoming as dear to them as they are to each other, that you will find their Noble Phantasm.

You have overcome the difficulties in getting to know another
You understand what it means to love
And so they grant you the Servant class Lover
You have also learned more of who you are in turn
You have let them see who you are
And so they reinforce that and grant you Double Summon so that you may become a Servant class that suits your nature.
Just as they are two as one and one as two,
your Servant class shall also be one as two and two as one.
    Both a Lover and another.

A very simple Noble Phantasm in the end. There is no fanfare, no grand gestures, no extra conditions or hidden meanings.
It is just a crystalization of who they are and what it means to know them.
Like the everyday comfort of seeing someone you love, their reward is just as ordinary.
And yet it is also extraordinary.
It is not easy to reflect on one's mistakes.
It is not easy to stand up for yourself against someone you believe loves you.
It is not easy to tell of your thoughts, your feelings, and having their true meaning be understood.
It is both everyday and once in a lifetime.
    Just like the Lovers themselves.

That's all there is to it

    Bond Craft Essence
    Is This Real?

"...is that really all there is to it?" the woman asked, in a moment between one scene and the next. "Spreading love... Wouldn't that be all the more reason to not do this? We're not actual people, Lovey."

"I know. But we still feel things, remember?" the man replied, taking a seat beside her as they viewed the city before them. "We still feel love, hate, joy, sadness, annoyance, relief... Don't you remember that saying? 'I think, therefore I am'? Or something like that... That should be more than enough."

"But we're just made that way. We're supposed to act like people. We're supposed to want to get close to our Master, you're supposed to be the coward between the two of us, I'm supposed to be the lead of us. Everything we do is how we're supposed to act."

The man was silent, watching the woman's stormy expression for some time.

Then he said, "...this isn't about whether us being a card gives us a right to teach another about love...is it?"

The woman flinched and looked away. "What makes you think that?"

The man drew in closer. He reached forward even closer, but stopped night before her hand. "...because if I go with your line of logic, then you could say humans are 'not real' since they're all feeling what they 'should' feel. If we continue from there, then some might argue that we are just as human as them, even with our inhuman origins. And I know you're smart enough to know that already." Seeing her not move away, he entwined their hands togrther and leaned against her. "...so what's the real problem?"

The woman is quiet, pointedly not meeting the man's gaze. The man didn't mind. He simply stayed there, leaning against her, waiting for her to gather her thoughts.

Then she laughed, but it lacked any mirth. "...I forgot you'd know right away... Maybe... Maybe there isn't any point to any of my thoughts either..."

"Keeper... No." He shook his head. "Aimée."

Her breath hitched. He pushed forward.

"...even if everyone says it's pointless, even if everything says it's meaningless, your thoughts and words matter to me, because you matter to me." A little tighter, he held her hand as he said, "So please. Don't hold it all in. Don't let whatever you're thinking rot inside your mind. If you need to let it out, let it out."

For a moment, all was still again.

And then she said, "...even if you were made to love me? Just as I was made to love you? I..." She breathed in. "You're right. It's not that I'm worried if we're qualified to teach love because we're fakes...but if we're fakes...if we were never real to begin with...not in the way that most people, or hell even Servants are..."

The woman's eyes met the man's.

"...is what we're feeling even love?"

The weight of her words clamped their mouths shut

    The silenced stretched on.

But just when the woman thought it would choke them, the man answered.

"...if it isn't love, then that just means we need to learn what is love, right?"

"And how do you know we'll even understand?"

"I don't," he said, nonchalant and sudden. It caught her off guard. Then he continued. "...but I do know that we should try. We won't have any answers if we simply stand in place with our thoughts." He smiled with amusement. "That's what you keep telling me, after all."

The woman stared. And then she laughed, finally laughed, one filled with disbelief and relief.

    "...thank you...William."

    "The honor is mine, Aimée."

Perhaps one shouldn't listen to a mere card, one that doubts even its own love.
Perhaps one shouldn't count their dreams, when they were born with a purpose ingrained.
Perhaps one shouldn't believe they are alive, a Servant that should have been nothing more than a piece of a part of skill of a Servant tied to Tarot.
And yet still they have identities.
And yet still they have aspirations.
And yet still they have given each other names.
    William, her beloved.
    Aimée, his love.
To each other, they are real.
And to you, the one who has bonded with them, they are real enough.

    Jean-Baptiste "Etteilla" Alliete (Baron Magnus)
"Oh hey, lookie here! It's the founder of Tarot himself!"
    "...I thought no one knew...?"
"I think you're mixing up Tarot cards and not the occult stuff."
    "...ah, right. My mistake...if that's the case...hmm... I wonder..."
"Oh come on, you wanna talk to him, right? Here, lemme start! Hey! Telly!"
    "Keeper!! Don't call him that...!"
"My hubby wants to talk to ya!"
"...yes...I do wish to speak with you. I thought we could have more insight to our natures but first... Can you just not so brazenly call him that, Keeper?!"

    Carl Jung (DelRey)
"Yeesh, better not get on his bad side."
    "...what did you do?"
    "What's that supposed to mean?!"
"I'm simply surprised you are being this cautious is all."
    "I'm confident, not stupid."
"No, you are not stupid...but you can definitely overconfident."
"Well somebody's gotta do it, else we're just gonna sit here thinking all day!"

    Aleister Crowley (NMR-3)
    "...Lovey?"
    "...what's wrong?"
    "You...got a plan for this...thing...right?"
"...of course. And if my first one doesn't work, I have plenty more where that came from."
"...good. Good. I...got a bad feeling from this guy."
"...then I'll endeavor to formulate a plan with an even higher success rate."
    "...thanks, Lovey."
    "The honor is mine, Keeper."

    Fool, Arcana 0 (Wyvern)
"Hey hey! It's Rei! The ol' fool. Literally! Looks like it's not just me and the hubby who've been summoned."
"Hello, Trickster. ...do you need any help? We might have a Master we need to nurture, but we will always lend a hand to you."
"Same! We're supposed to be part of your journey, after all. So just say the word!"

    Magician, Arcana I (DracoScribe)
"Ace! Good to see ya, kid! Lookin' pretty good grown up like that, eh?"
"...please don't drag her into anything stupid, Caster."
"Hey, I can take care of myself, Lovey."
"...I know. But Casteris another story."
"All right, fine. Don't mind my hubby, Ace. Just tell me what stuff you're learnin' today. You know how he's like."
"...and you also know what I'll do if you end up getting into trouble in the end anyway."

Vessels Outside the BoundaryVessels Outside the Boundary

    Barbara G. Walker (Marethyu77)
"...I know this is a Beast and all and she is honestly scary, buuuut..."
"...I am of the same mind. She is formidible, but is this is somehow also the dumbest thing I have ever seen."
"Exactly! This is the stupidest reason I've ever seen anyone become a Beast! And that's saying something since we haven't seen too many."
"...I would certainly hope we wouldn't see too many..."

    Stanley Kubrick (Broke) (BnEl15)
    "No."
(Nothing the girl can do will convince them to join in her club. Other members who might be in it, yes, but not her)

    Darwin's Demon (Morg van Destro)
    "She reminds me of Trianna."
"Only that she is colder in her affection than her."
"Yeah! Haha. Though I think she'd be real mad over her throwing her kids. Haha."
"...it is not exactly safe to do so..."
"You know very well the only kids she'll fire are those that can take it."
"I would still prefer she not."
(A pause; one so brief that it seemed instant...but not for Lover)
    "...you're distracting yourself."
"What? What are you talking about? I'm perfectly paying attention."
"...so that you don't think about what you actually want to say."
    "..."
    "...so...what is it?"
"...it's just...she's all about having kids and...it just made me remember one version of our card does have kids and..."
(It makes me wish I can have them, was left unsaid. It was loud and clear for him)
"...well, Chaldea has done and seen stranger...I'm sure we can figure something out."
"...even though it's a bad idea?"
"...then we turn it into a good idea."
    "...thanks."
    "...you're most welcome."

    Takenouchi Documents (MuramasaMachII)
    "...am I crazy?"
    "Yes, you are crazy."
"Haha, very Lovey. I'm serious! Something's off about that guy..."
    "Something is off...about the Messiah?"
"Yeah! I don't know how to put it..."
    "...hmm...perhaps the cards..."
(Lover performs a divination; he stares at the results)
"...you are correct to suspect something, Keeper. For he is, in fact, not the Messiah."
"I knew something was off! No wonder he parties way too much!"
(And now the man is staring at the woman)
"...why didn't say that to begin with..."

    Madame de Montespan (Saron)
"...gotta give her props for her dedication but..."
"...that is not the kind of love we wish to teach."
"Yeah. That's the shit peeps like Shakespeare write about. But us?"
"We wish to show the everyday kind. The one where a simple morning meal with your beloved is still as comfortable as the last."
"The one where you can argue to hell and back but make up in the end."
"The one that has you look at yourself in the mirror and decide that you can be better."
"Snrk. Gotta say, that Noble Phantasm's quite the sight, huh? Think I should do it with you more often, Lovey?"
"K-Keeper! Must you bring that up after what we werw talking about?!"
    "Hahahaha!"

    Zeus-Conius (Baron von Magnus)
"...hey, look, my dude. I can appreciate your hot looks as much as the next human, but if you actually want me to be interested, get to know us first before you make any moves."
"...the same goes for me as well."

    Šćepan Mali (Morg van Destro)
    "..."
"...what has gotten you so contemplative, Keeper?"
    "That guy."
"...the one others believed was the Tsar?"
"Yeah. It's not the same, but...in some ways, he's not real like us. No one knows his real name. No one knows where he came from. All they remember is what he left behind. And yet he was realer than we ever could be."
"...or...if you turn around the perspective, it means that we are 'realer' than you have given us credit for. We have also left our mark, as indirect and insignificant it may seem in comparison to the great pioneers of history."
"...ha, you're right. Thanks again, Lovey."
    "...anytime, Keeper."

    Queen Amina (Vididii)
    "No. Just no."
"...if I didn't know any better, I would have thought she was a reversed Hanged Man or Emperor and such..."
"Yeah. I'm calling our sibs for this. I can't stand her taking choice from other people. And don't think about stoppin' me, Lovey!"
"...I won't. I will merely ensure things do not go south for others...and you."

    Tarot (Baron von Magnus)
"Shoulda figured that if the Major Arcana can be Servants, then Tarot itself can be one too. Still, surprised to see 'em here."
"...True. I am surprised as well. To have another manifestation of Tarot nearby are low odds."
"All the more reason to be happy they're here! Hey, Terry! How've you been? Has your Master given you any trouble? We're workin' on our own! Hopefully we get close, but who knows?"
"...it is good to see you again, Player. I, too, hope your summoning hasn't been too much trouble. I'm sure your journey will be difficult enough as is."

    Ζευς Κεραυνιος (OddEyedDuelist)
"I thought we just talked with him!"
"...This is his Gatekeeper incarnation. So we both did and did not speak with him."
"I swear, my dude, if this is one of your fucking schemes to get with me, my hubby or both of us for a quick lay..."
"I-I'm sure if it was, we wouldn't stand as much of a chance as you think, Keeper... Especially in this incarnation. He's a 'final boss', for crying out loud!"
"My stance is still the same whatever the case!"
"...please, cards, tell me if there's a way we all get out of this alive..."

The Chicken Who Crossed the Road (Salt Pillar)
"...there's no way that's just the chicken."
"...there have been stranger in facts and certainly in Chaldea. I would not be surprisef even such a thing was turned into a Servant."
"But then it should be able to do more! Right?"
"...pardon? I'm not quite sure what you mean, my love..."
"If it's the chicken crossed the road, it should look like anything and everything!"
"...don't tell me you think that because you still believe the actual answer to the question is not the answer..."
"O-Of course not! I get that the joke is how simple the intended answer is... But the question's had a whole bunch of answers over the years! Both bullshit and not shit. So clearly it's also not 'just a chicken'."
"...I hate how much that makes sense to me."

    Pellegrino Maria Ernetti (Scotcheroos)
"...someone who looks into the past, huh?"
"I see... I wonder if I should ask him questions of what can he see, and if he could, perhaps, reveal certain mysteries I cannot help but be curious over... Gah, but there is likey some information you wish to keep under wraps for safety reasons, for Fate can be ironic and cruel, so he might not even want to talk to... ...Keeper?"
"Huh? Yeah, Lovey? What is it?"
"...you don't trust the man, do you?"
"Whaaat? What makes you think that?"
    "...Keeper."
"... ...All right all right...I get it... It's just... Was what he saw really so bad he won't talk about it? He said he saw beyond the face of Son of God. If it's so bad, wouldn't that mean it might put humanity in danger?"
"...or it could simply be something...a man shouldn't see in the first place."
    "You don't know that."
"I don't. However, I do know...that if we simply doubt him so blantantly from the start, no trust can be built between any of us."
"... Ha, you'd think I'd remember this by heart by now, but..."
"To err is to be human, Keeper. And we as like human as we can be. And besides...I appreciate your skeptical nature. It lets me consider angles I never would have. So rest easy, my love."
    "...thanks."
    "...you're most welcome."

    Kaarina Maununtytär (Dragoran21)
    Talking about Lover:
    "...you know..."
    "Yes?"
"Sometimes I feel like I'm like that."
    "...Lady Kaarina?"
    "No. Her husband."
(The man boggled at the woman)
    "Pardon me, what? Why?"
"Ha... Come on, Lovey. You always keep bringing me up. I always keep...being like this."
"...well, often times, I think the same."
"Sometimes I think that I took too much time to decide on something and thus I didn't keep an eye on you. Sometimes I think I didn't think enough and you had to save me from a poor decision I make. And I think...the only reason I don't...say it too often is because...well, you are always there for me. You always accept it, sometimes scold me for it, but never condemn me for it. ...so please, don't think of yourself as inadequate. We all have our poor moments. I love you, Aimée."
    "...I love you too, William."
    In response to Lover:
"Oh, uh, um... Haha, thank you, Kaarina. Here, better blow your nose on my hanky, yeah?"
(The woman has a bright smile. The man's smile, though nowhere near as bright, makes up for it in warmth)
"I thank you as well, Lady Kaarina. Are there, perhaps, any activities you were planning today? Could we, perchance, take part as well?"
"Oh yeah! Great idea, hub! I'd love to hang out with ya!"
(Unsurprisingly, the two are quite fond of Lover. They try their best to cheer her up and secretly try to see if they can reunite her with her family)

    Wilhelmina “Mina” Harker (Vance)
"Pretty impressive, I'd say. Managing all that while dealing that vampire bullshit."
"As...crude as a way to put it, indeed, it is impressive. Even more so in an era where that would be all the more difficult."
"I'm sure you can do just as good, if not better though!"
"...I appreciate the thought, as always...just please don't say that in front of her..."

    Vasily Arkhipov (RoydGolden)
    "Oh Rei would love you."
"Indeed. The everyday man as a hero. Changing history by simply making a choice."

    Democritus (Dark Squirrel)
"Ha! I like this guy. Don't be fooled by shit, and choose what matters to you. I can live by that."
"I as well. ...though I wish I can have both of your confidence against divine entities... It's one thing to be doubtful when see them, it's another to actually see them."
"Bah. Then that's all the more reason to let him deal with their bullshit while we give them a piece of our minds!"
"...you do realize our own skills are under his as well, yes...? They have supernatural properties that most things don't have..."
"Just 'cause my stabby stick isn't holy anymore doesn't mean it stops stabbing!"
"...I was speaking of our wind control and our curative water... Oh well, guess I'll simply stick with my sword."

    Author's Notes
And here they are. I hope you enjoyed it despite the mess it is. The sheet certainly feels like to me at any rate... So why did I go for it? I thought, since I couldn't think of where to start for looking for figures, I'd just go and essentially make a love letter to my two of my favorite classes of the fan/extra class. And so I picked another love: Tarot symbolism (because Persona), partially spurned on by the fact that Baron made Tarot a Servant and partially because there were several shitpost sheets. So hopefully at least it was clear this was a love letter to some of my favorite classes and Tarot, even if it comes off as a shitty love letter...

Notes as a list cause don't want it long and thoughts are in a jumble. Again:
    • It is in sutaa/DelRey/(certain) pinetree (sheets) style because Lady Sarashina was a journey so I in turn tried to replicate the magic I felt from that. Probably failed but at least that was the intent why narration was more their way of describing skills and such.
    • FCs are Toshiro Kasukabe and Erina/Eri Natsuhara from Persona 5: Tactica, partially because of me loving to ship them, me wanting to give Persona FCs to the Arcana Servants when I can, and that they helped set the tone, personality and portrayal of the Lovers in this sheet. I couldn't imagine anyone else...probably should've tried to, but again, they got the ball rolling so I couldn't bring myself to.
    • Raphael is on the Rider-Waite version, aka healing, the card is associated with Gemini, aka wind, and the Thoth version has the couple with a lance and sword, aka why they have weapons. So I just combined them into the woman and man to streamline it.
    • "love is not for cowards" is a quote from my adventures with superman.
    • Devotion is EX because while their devotion to each other is basically A, their devotion to their master is set at E at first summoning. So their EX is the "unusual" type. Same with their NP.
    • one of my problems with the sheet, besides how the hell do i make narration flow like a story but also describe the skills, is figuring out what is their trial when they are practically newborns who have no experience. I decided, just like with Titania's personality, to make it a feature and not a bug, and that helped me figure out what to do with them. So basically the are literally "Social Link: the Servant".
    • The whole naming thing is basically showong despite being "one" they are also "separate". Both are Gatekeeper and Lover, but the man likes to call the woman Gatekeeper and the woman likes to call him Lover. Same with the "normal" names. It is "theirs". Their mark of identity. For the man, she has dubbed him William, meaning resolute protection. For the woman, he has dubbed her Aimée, meaning beloved. A flip on how they usually appear and a callback to how they are both two classes.
    • yes they are both gatekeeper (choices, trials overcome) and lover (name on the tin) instead of just lover with skills from gatekeeper or viceversa because of the duality and union stuff. i dont wanna ramble about that atm
    • yes i added becoming a friend route because i wanted it as an option in a hypothetical scenario. but hey sometimes i see platonic is possible so there. i don't care if it's a recent thing, i will have my friendship route and that's that.
