Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.
To hasten the Divine's return.
O piteous Wanderer.
Gáe Bolg's fate twisting property is to always pierce the heart, not always kill the target.
So if your Luck is high enough to interfere with destiny, it might miss the heart?
I just realized that Karna ruins my "only relevant armor" statement.
Huh...his armor is fused with his skin so it doesn't count! Yeah.
Ragnarok, come day of wrath

O piteous Wanderer.
But that's literally what I said.

Yes, but its armor. and relevant. so it still ruins the statement.
No because it's armor fused with his skin so it's not something you can just equip/de-equip in the menu screen; you need plot events.
Totally different.

Mordred vs Lancelot. Assume he has access to guns.
Linger: Complete. August, 1995. I met him. A branch off Part 3. Mikiya keeps his promise to meet Azaka, and meets again with that mysterious girl he once found in the rain.
Shinkai: Set in the Edo period. DHO-centric. As mysterious figures gather in the city, a young woman unearths the dark secrets of the Asakami family.
The Dollkeeper: A Fate side-story. The memoirs of the last tuner of the Einzberns. A record of the end of a family.
Overcount 2030: Extra x Notes. A girl with no memories is found by a nameless soldier, and wakes up to a world of war.
Mordred remembers that she can beamu and tanks the bullets long enough to do that.

There are lots of things attributed to Gae Bolg, like getting impaled inside out with thousands of barbs (which Nasu missed in F/SN but remembered later).
But its core property - the causality-reversing "you are stabbed, therefore I thrust" is to always hit the heart. This doesn't change anything I said.
High LCK = avoid fate twist heart punch
Not the same as damage inflicted. I think the barbed death part is the "base damage + HP" component

And here Nasu equates getting stabbed in the heart as doing your entire HP bar.
I thought that was because spiritual cores are located in the heart and head, which is why those are super fatal?

He still needs that heart to live, which was kinda why he was dying in HF (because Sakura destroyed his heart)
