Karna takes it in pure skill, and he's got the firepower to come out ahead of Excalibur, but Artoria without Avalon (I don't remember, were we able to use Avalon in Extella Link?) was the Moon Cell's answer to all the big ol' monsters rumbling about. At one point the enemy has Iskander, Gil, Altera, Karna and a few other big honkin' powerhouses running about, and the Moon Cell's answer was to drop Artoria in the middle of it and then stand back smugly.
She's the underdog you really want to bet on.

i think his best option would be kundala to mitigate then still having his armor to deal with the rest. Kundala would lose to excalibur, but at least he wouldn't be hurt to bad. if he already had been suckered into using VS, or tried to counter excalibur with VS, he would probably end up in a pretty bad position.
K&K True Name Release can probably deal with Excalibur as well, considering it could hold off Godjuna's Maha Pralaya long enough to save Gudao and Shadow Border.

I dunno. Excalibur has a history of cutting through super unbreakable armor.
I don't think Karna can outmatch Saber on skill alone. Not only is she also top-tier in that regard, I imagine Instinct + Invisible Air would overcome the gap.
Also, when it comes to NP spamming, Rin!Saber or Avalon!Saber actually can use Excalibur at full power in quick succession.
I’m actually giving karna some significant respect in the form of assuming a much higher martial and magical assault over saber then I actually think he really warrants because in this case it really doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have a way around avalon.

Assuming both have equal Master support I don't see either of them trumping over the other outside of Karna running out of juice since he's a bigger mana hog. 90% damage reduction is no joke but at the same time neither is Saber's regeneration speed with Avalon.
If Karna opted for VS then he'd be boned though.
Karna and Gawain melee'd for a bit in foxtail and there didn't seem to be any large skill gap. Apart from the A rank attack with B strength thing, does Karna have any other extreme skill feats?

That's true but Karna's armor block something that not even classified as np anymore. Not to mention he still kinda "alive" after getting hit by Maha Pralaya. I'm pretty sure he can block Excalibur just fine
I don't know what the context was in Lostbelt 4, but I highly doubt that's something Karna can do in a regular Grail War.
