On the one hand I can understand not wanting to drag it out too long, and I don't think I'd want to sit through more than one episode of running errands. On the other hand fleshing out Uruk that way made the things like Ana getting the flower crown more emotional so it's a bit disappointing.
The part where Leonidas lectured MC and Mashu on castle defense is also cut. Hopefully that part and the flower crown will come as flashbacks.Originally Posted by Reign

So much culture this ep with glorious chara animation. Funny Ushi. Drunk Leonidas. Minidusa being a qt. Lewd Mashu... but her babs outfit honestly is just her in the boob window mode with a dirty mat draped around her waist lol. "S-so... you like my outfit?" honey you just nabbed that off the floor didntcha?
On the action side of things, I like how theyre playing around with Anas chain.
Ana was definitely the highlight of this episode. She's so adorable I'm tempted to roll for her whenever she's on rate up next.
I expected the fights at the start to be longer and the home stuff to be shorter, and I'm glad I was wrong about that.

If only Ana was half as cool in game as she was in this anime. Gil's a really smooth dodger too; no wonder he was able to jump past Excalibur so easily in Zero. Impressive animation too, what with the crumbs falling as Ana ate the cake.
Finally, Matthew is cute.

Didnt notice until I saw it pointed out on twitter but the SoL montage has two shots of merlin in the background attempting to do some incubus activities with a local woman.
I'm going to be so disappointed if they don't make a quick cut horror movie montage of Amakusa and Kotaro being killed and devoured by the fearsome jaguarman. Especially since Amakusa was such a big deal and Kotaro already died a insignificant jobber's death in the previous anime they were both last in.

Happy Ana is great. The highlight of the episode for me.
No, that's not exactly right. The entire table scene is a delight for me. Benkei having only a bowl of fruit because monk things. Ushiwakamaru switching from elegant lady posture to grand gestures to playful prankster and having Hayamin show a bit of range she doesn't usually do. Drunk Leonidas, hahaha. Ana being a happy girl with a sweet tooth and everyone playing blind. Oh, and her slowly nodding off seguing into adults' talk into her sleepily promising to kill Merlin. And heck, Benkei and Ushiwakamaru's banter continuing way after the subs gave up on them. I live for this stuff, seriously.
...I'm not talking about fight scenes despite all the good stuff. Not when they're so short I feel blueballed.
It feels so weird seeing Gil actively moving in battle. That short back-handstand too, fucking showoff.
They skipped most of the errand quests.

They're doing Ana justice and all (god knows her gameplay kit doesn't), but did you see how badass dat Ishtar was? Need more Rin kicking people in the gut. Strangely satisfying.
A notable amazing thing is how they made Gil fight. Unlike his Archer self, he's involved in the fight, he moves, he doesn't just stand in one higher spot and fires at his opponents. This is an awesome way to contrast him with his stuck up don't-breath-my-air-mongrels younger self.
CG sneks looked good, so I don't mind it... for Big Snek. Mommy is a completely different beast. An entirely hand-drawn beast, she better be.

Oh man I just realized this episode ended right before they meet Ziusudra. Gonna need to wait a whole week for Jouji.
Already expect that the errand quest will be cut. I mean, how will they adapt it anyway without giving one full episode
