I'd be nice to see some actual citations for one, but it sounds like an fair sentiment coming from an industry that I'm sure aren't completely enthusiastic about sinking their talents into supporting the recent trend of gacha bankrolled titles.

Episode was honestly very good. Pacing was fine and I thought they handled every major scene well enough.(it's unforgivable that they skipped "KINGUUUUUUUUUU" though) The reason why it feels somewhat underwhelming is because it doesn't match up to the quality that was the previous one. Hopefully they can make up with it next week though.

That said Gil's entire thing was great. How satisfied he looks in his last shot in this was great. Merlin and King Spooky as well.
Gorgon speaking with Ana's voice threw me off for a bit though ngl; even if I thought her scene was good too.

The Ana scene is weird for me because I didn't like (or even understand, tbh) how she came back after her earlier death when I was playing the game, so I don't mind how fast it was done with here. I might have even preferred she not return at all in the anime.

What they changed was not having Kingu's bindings hold for an hour. But that's honestly forgivable, given the circumstances.

i think this ep had plenty strong individual moments but the choppy direction doesnt do it favors. Gil and Enkidu i really liked tho.

anyhow, judging episodes with ep18 as standard is not gonna lead to anything nice, not in this anime nor any future Fate TV anime.

The pacing fast and the infodump is so halfhearted, it's just uuugghhh......
It's like they don't even want to do it, when infodump happen they just talk so fast it's feel like it's the thing that they add it at the last moment when writing the script and directing the voice actors

But really, they brought back Gorgon with the shaky excuse of Ana piloting her corpse because they wanted to hamfist an awesome moment of the Three Goddess Alliance(Quetz, Gorgon, Eresh) prophecy being fulfilled and summarily turned against Tiamat during the final battle.

The protagonist will always be the worst part of FGO tbh.
Unless they sit at a table and carefully plan a personality and set of action he would/wouldn't take based on it (and they will never do that), he will keep dragging down any anime adaptation (unless rare examples like last episode, in which he does something that makes sense).
In fact, it's my biggest fear for a Solomon adaptation.

I'm still grateful for Babylonia's anime and the fact that it was given time for production (and so it probably had a healthier working environment that many other anime series), but I can't help thinking about how just a few thing could've made it so much better.
The 21 episodes count still doesn't make sense to me, I want to think there was some other reason and it wasn't just a "yeah 21 chapters = 21 episodes", but I really can't find an aswer.
But yeah, they have so many talents involved and they could (and should) have used them better imho

Or they could just have Gudako being cute, being hot, being smug, doubling down on the memes when appropriate and making sad faces when appropriate all while being cute and hot
The way is lit. The path is clear. They only require strength to follow it.
