From an animator who also worked on the first movie, he does have a habit of saying some info about the production before release and then immediately deleting the tweet.
I loved the episode and animation myself but apparently it's kind of controversial with fans. Not as much as the Pain vs Naruto fight but people seem to have similar issues regarding the off modelness, the fact that a lot of it is flashing lights and crumbling backgrounds and that it's stylistically different from the rest of the show in an obvious way
The animation was incredible in that episode and people who don't like it don't know what good animation is.
The Atalanta sequence is actually even better than Karna's to me.
I don’t think animation is an issue here. The battle choreography was boring, and made worse in comparison by happening immediately after the absolute peak that was the Chiron fight. Looking better or worse wouldn’t change that.

Chiron v Achilles did have the best choreography of the show for sure. I've definitely seen people complain about 22's animation specifically though, not choreography, despite the animation for that episode being easily the best in the show.

Almost as if some of the complaints were about the art style changing constantly in so little time that it may seem jarring for some people rather than the 'animation' in question

The main controversy was people flipping their shit about A-1 """running out of budget""", rather than choreography or art style.
I can't really critique on choreography or off modelness or anything like that. I just remember feeling a lot of emotions when the animation, writing and music.
Though if it's strictly fight wise, yeah Chiron vs Achilles is definitely the best

I kind of doubt it but I wonder if we'll see Vivian when he tries to return Excalibur to the lake.
Oh man seeing this animated made me really wished it was a full fledge visual novel just because of the Fate route ending.
