I am going this year after almost ten years. New venue with being in DC instead of Baltimore.
Should be a great time, got 2 Final Fantasy concerts with Uematsu attending this year.
Anyone else going?

"Fate/stay night: not really an eroge, and not really a cooking sim, but actually an RPG wherein everyone’s primary stat is “self-loathing” and the goal is to level it up beyond all the other characters."
Yeah, I'm going.
I only found out about the Final Fantasy stuff as of, uh, yesterday. It's probably too late to get tickets right.
The real reason I'm going anyway is so I can dive into all of the merchandise like Scrooge McDuck and his pool of gold.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
Yeah, that is one of my prime reasons as well. And no, you can get into the concert with your registration, but it seems personal meet and greet with Uematsu + autographs required a VIP ticket that is of course, sold out. Made me sad too.

Also, seems there is a Nasuverse panel at 9:00 Friday, my friend wants to go so we are probably hitting that.
So, the panel was kinda cringy, but it had some interesting jokes.
The Western fanbase is as I imagined. Also GO stuff posted everywhere, literally everywhere.
jeez guys, stop making cringy panels, make them pro-style and you could get a job
Localizationing stuff
The last Fate panel I saw was about going into all the Servants myths rather than talk about the VN/anime. It was pretty good.
Binged All Of Gundam In 4 Years, 1 Week and All I Got Was This Stupid Mask
FF XIV: Walked to the End
Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
Well, I was pretty much expecting mostly GO stuff, and it's what I got. Lots of good fanart (I got myself one good Sakura one ), fantastic Jeanne artwork both regular and Alter, Nero got lots of excellent artwork, so much so that I'd daresay she was overtaking Artoria a bit, lots of Summer Lancer Tamamo.
But there were also quite a few who play JP and had superb Abigails, very few Ereshikigals and Ishtars, some Musashis. Totally had to support one girl who made Grimgar artwork, really surprised me to see any.
@Arashi - they were good guys, had about as may memes as expected. Although one guy said he wanted to avoid spoilers, but he got pretty spoilery.
I got CMI and CMII for the Swag bag, same area for the volume 1 FF Ultimania in the dealer room, it's dangerous, you can just blow hundreds walking around.
It was probably a better Fate panel than the one I went to. The audience kept interrupting and about halfway into the panel nobody was even paying attention anymore and the room was filled with chatter as the panelists talked. I did notice though that Otakon is like, a secret Gundam con. Every other panel was about gundam.
These panels need a bouncer or something to kick people out who interrupt, because there is almost always someone in the crowd who thinks he's the secret extra panelist.

There were a couple TM ones. I went to both because why not, but did you go to the early morning one, or the evening one?
