As NA and SEA servers are now in open beta, I figured it was a good time to make this thread and see how many Commanders there are here.

For the uninitiated:

It's a side-scrolling shooter mobage with shipgirls a la KanColle, as designed by fans of 80s mecha, World of Warships, and Japanese subculture memes. You assemble fleets of warship girls (featuring ships from American, Commonwealth, Japanese, German, Chinese, Soviet, and French navies circa WWII), equip them, train them, and send them out to combat.

Why people play:

- a large selection of shipgirls available with many being obtainable via generous shipbuild/gacha rates (7%SSR/12%SR/51%R) and permanent campaign maps with unique drop-only ships

- events providing major prizes like free SR/SSR ships and equipment as easily reachable goals, and also rewarding significant bonus resources for those who are willing to grind

- low time commitment requirement in general, sending commissions out for resources requiring the most attention, but otherwise all daily content can be comfortably cleared within an hour

- flexibility between manual and auto-play, given sufficient leveling and gear most content can be cleared on auto, with manual play preferred for high tier content like later campaign and event maps

- some very provocative and/or revealing shipgirl designs

From what I hear, no, they actually went and hired people who kinda knew what they were doing and it's now at the level of most other mobage localisations, which is to say mediocre but passable

Right now there are some Canadian and Australian navy boats but they still use their HMS names which I assume is for convenience purposes

Rarity isn:t as much a barrier as there are very powerful N and R boats that are considered high tier

The SEA server's release was just a bit too late & since we can't really bring our game over servers, I'm sticking to the NA's Avrora.

Really love the wide selection of cute shipgirls...getting the ones you really like of course is usually no easy feat. Unicorn is so huggable.

They're very adorbs but sending out the Kindergarten Destroyers to battle is just so wrong.

Hmm, how many sorties does it usually take before the shipgirl lose enough morale? I guess I've been very casual since I've yet to see it below the green smiley.
