Be glad, all I felt was relief of it being over
Granted I never enjoyed Nero or Tama, aside from some not-TM works

Extella Nero is better than Extella Tamamo, but that's not saying much.
Funny, since I generally prefer Tamamo to Nero overall, too.
At least the Tamamo route had plenty of Liz scenes, for both flavor and foreshadowing. Liz was one of my reasons for soldiering through Extella, as was eventually Altera once I got to her route and realized that it was good.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Thats because Nero was (annoyingly) presented as the heroine in extella. On the Nero side in extella was like ciel in fate. Like the entire game was asking you “are you suuuuuuuuuure you don’t wanna go with Nero? I mean, tamamo is fiiiiiine I guess, cute ears are something, but come on, have you seen the crotch window?!”
Well, this was a good thing in Tsukihime, because it tricked you into thinking you had a choice between the heroines, while strongly suggesting you go through routes in the intended order, since that particular order is really important for the story working out as a whole. You can argue for Gilgamesh in CCC and the game going all 'eeeeeeeh MAJI' on you, because of spoilers in his route. But for Extella, there would of course first need to be a point to the story in order to justify it.
Kinda funny, given that the Ciel route version of some scenes ended up better than the Arc takes.

Quite unpopular, but this thread's name is clear so why not.
FGO, while a game with fun mechanics and whatnot, has been ruined by Gacha Monetizing system, with the war on lootboxes raging on in USA, it kinda makes me feel like i'm on the wrong side of history here (And i'm sure that there are more people that feel this way). That is not to say that as a F2P i haven't sunk countless hours into the game, but all i'm playing it for now is the story to be quite honest.

From what i can gather from r/grandorder reddit/discord, the overall opinion over there seems kinda mixed, but in any case i needed a place to vent that opinion out.

When your opponent thinks you pulled out exodia but it was actually your credit card
let's be honest here, the gacha is not the only thing which makes fgo a terrible game. take type-moon out of fgo and it's an absolutely unplayable junk.
It has yet to give me an experience as unpleasant as guild wars in Granblue so I'll disagree on that front

Most people agree that FGO would be terrible as a 'serious' game but it's fine and even very good as a past time with passages of engaging story, for a super-lite VN at least. It's why there's so many people like me that don't even play almost any other gacha game if at all outside of FGO.
Hell I even tried out the in many ways objectively superior Epic Seven only to discover that for all its polish and production values I really couldn't feel invested in it at all to play for longer than a week. It really is all about caring about those characters and the story.

If you just care about the characters and the story, then I have good news for you. You can watch the story cutscenes, event, and interlude cutscenes on Youtube in fully-formed playlists. Maybe a Honako Green video or two if you want a glimpse of the gameplay with none of the boring grind. Actually best way to enjoy the game. Most bang for your buck, least amount of wasted filler, and you don't have to contribute to a cancerous monetization system even indirectly because you're not filling up the ocean with F2P bait for whales!
