He's pretty good, ignore the original frat boy at the end though.

That's Sam Riegel as Shirou. Bryce started in ufoUBW.
The irony of Sam being Shirou and Liam being Archer is those two are best friends irl.

Also I love Liam O'Brien in a lot of stuff, but Kaiji Tang is better as Archer
Being someone who speaks JP, seiyuu-kuns are pretty recognizable for the most part.
Some of them really change up their voices for roles and surprise me sometimes however. Oohara, Daisuke Ono and Hanazawa are incredibly strong. Of course it's hard not to recognize Kamiya Hiroshi in any Kumeta adaption and our dear Wakame.
I feel for some reason eng dubs are usually equal or sometimes better in video games however.
Imagine a Fate/extra ccc with a english dub, how in the world would that go I wonder.
if we're talking about being able to change it up then the first ones that come to mind to me are Chiwa Saito and Hitomi Nabatame.
I will never understand how Rie Tanaka can be both Kiara and Nep-Nep.

Doesn't she also play Nyx and Ciel?
I'm okay with anyone hating any seiyuus for whatever petty reasons unless they are hating on George or Atsuko Tanaka.
Then I have to hire professional killers on them.
FATE ROUTE ADAPTION FROM DEEN IS LITERALLY THE BEST FSN VISUAL NOVEL ANIME ADAPTION EVER
OTHER THAN THE QUALITY AND THE MERGING OTHER ROUTES INTO FATE
I BELIEVE WITHOUT A DOUBT IT'S STILL THE BEST ADAPTION EVERRRRRRR

Blindfold your eyes, so that the approaching night may strike no fear in you.
Let it not burden your soul, nor numb your strides.
I'm really tempted to agree, but it's hard to tell how much of it is the soundtrack and nostalgia, as well as how much of it is Kajiura fatigue. The only real competitor is UBW anime, and then you get into the weird territory where you open up by saying that it's an unfair comparsion because of budget, and that the stuff inserted into the story in DEEN Stay Night was better than what was effectively fanservice in UBW.
But you can do FAR worse when adapting a VN than just making Sakura project a knife and Shirou project a towel. At around the same time the Higurashi anime came out, and everyone loved it, despite it being an actual abhorrent monstrosity that missed the point of the original so hard I still don't quite understand how it's possible to be this tone-deaf.

Not only that, the Higurashi anime actively ruined the best thing the author has ever written by showing Meakashi-hen from the outside, so that when someone read it after the anime, it became worse. I sometimes wonder if it was the starting point of ruining Ryukishi's work and making it into a soul-less appeal to emotion in the Umineko finale, which led to no one in Japan taking him seriously these days.
DEEN Stay Night is a shining paragon of faithfulness to the source next to that.

I mean, we can laugh at JC Staff Tsukihime all we want, but can you imagine if it was good? An adaptation that misunderstands the point this hard, but is by itself something attractive to the lowest common denominator, so that the writer has to appeal to his new fanbase he never asked for by dumbing his future work down? Can you imagine if Nasu got the impression from JCTsuki-but-successful that people really like Twilight, and so everything he would write from then on would be a soapy love story?
tfw ryukishi called me the GOAT
When I grow old and leave my mortal coil, and meet Saint Peter at the pearly gates, and he asks me
'are you still mad about Umineko E8'
I will go to the purgatory.
Anyway, it's obviously FGO. FGO is the Higurashi Anime of Kinoko Nasu. Unless he has more self-esteem than Ryukishi did, it's all downhill from here.
No flippin' way
O'Brien blows Tang out of the water. He's one of the best in the business.
Tang sounds tired, but O'Brien sounds legitimately furious with the idealistic fool he sees before him. I know a lot of people like that world-weary aspect, but the seething anger suits a guy who would bet on time travel to commit paradoxical suicide.

Spoiler:
The weariness of Kaiji's Archer is definitely the appeal in it to me. Liam's one of my favorite actors in the business but I've just never been able to jive with his Archer. I always go back to Kaiji's performance in Shirou vs Archer as his best work, imo.
Bit of trivia since we're talking about him, Kaiji Tang said in an interview for HF that he read the VN years ago. This part is just me guessing but I wouldn't be surprised if it's why he auditioned in the first place (beyond that voice actors gotta pay the bills too I mean).
I still think Deen's Fate misunderstands Shirou's Character on a fundamental level. Ufo's Ubw also doesn't totally get Shirou, but this is somewhat covered by a better exploration of his relationship with archer.

Not a TM opinion, but it seems to be pretty unpopular so I'll share regardless: I actually quite liked Umineko Ep8. I can understand why some people might be unsatisfied with it, but I don't get what makes people so viscerally upset, and I definitely don't understand any sort of claims about it being "soulless." Maybe I'm just not big brain enough to enjoy Umineko "properly."
On that note, I should really get around to reading Higurashi sometime. And Mahoyo. Since I've been sitting on them both for like 8+ years.
My Fanfiction - Almost entirely short stories and oneshots
Umineko 7+8 should have been woven into a single big finale.
Also the Will reconstructions of the ep1-4 mysteries should have been more explicit, like in the classic mystery stories rk obviously loves. Hell, he should have done the non-beatrice led 5-6 as well and explain how they differ in premise and "heart" from beatrice's spin on the story.
There's a ton of good stuff in 7 and 8 but the "tone" is lost.
