The Heaven’s Feel films did something interesting that I didn’t pick up on as much in the VN, but honestly I kind of liked quite a lot. That is to say, the struggles of Sakura really felt like a metaphor for some sort of mental illness (especially regarding her behavior in Lost Butterfly). Maybe I’m just reading into it too much, but whatever. Also, that scene with Shinji at the end of film to was disturbing as hell; somehow they managed to top the 9 minute rape scene in Irreversible, and that was a live action film. I imagine this was because the whole film we were watching Sakura slowly fall apart and then it all came together at the end but still. That movie was crazy.

I felt like they were gonna do more with that somehow, since the whole reveal of "no you're not actually possessed or whatever, you're just Like This" was still on the way. It felt like a build-up to that, but they sort of glossed over it... Then again, I don't know what they could have done better in the timeframe of a movie for that scene, so...

I'm going to drop an opinion I've holding onto for the better part of a year. I really dislike Morgan or more accurately the fandoms reaction to LB 6 and Morgan have really soured me towards it. It's not really the whole Morgan = Wife thing that soured me, it's more that to some degree I feel like Morgan got off too easy in the story and everybody deciding that she is this sweet misunderstood baby just pisses me off a bit

Also I feel like Beryl should have had a bigger role in LB 6, just me?

I'm going to drop an opinion I've holding onto for the better part of a year. I really dislike Morgan or more accurately the fandoms reaction to LB 6 and Morgan have really soured me towards it. It's not really the whole Morgan = Wife thing that soured me, it's more that to some degree I feel like Morgan got off too easy in the story and everybody deciding that she is this sweet misunderstood baby just pisses me off a bit

Other than fandom treating Morgan as waifu, I don't think she got off easy? This possibly doubles as unpopular, but I find her demise in LB6 was both tragic and cathartic on equal measure. People understandably sympathized with her due to her Lostbelt backstory, and then there's the fairies' true nature being explored further, which made people conclude her actions were justified, and that the fairies had it coming, who with a little bit persuasion, understandably turned against her in the end thanks to her treatment of them. Getting maimed and mauled by the masses while she's down with horrifyingly gory description is hardly seemed getting off easy.

Regarding Beryl, yes he's sadly got sidelined in his own LB, and Morgan was the one who ran the whole show. Beryl just wanted to eliminate the Lostbelt, but Morgan took it upon herself to fashion the whole realm into her own vision. Beryl's background could've been showcased better if his motivations were more complex, but he just ended up viewed as some sadistic mage dude who's obsessed with Mash.
