It's Hakuno agreeing with Twice, not the player. Considering Hakuno has all that internal monologue and an actual backstory, I don't really think he qualifies as a self insert.
Because Last Encore was still in stasis. It hadn't reached the point of no return yet.
The Yaga weren't human anymore, though. That also seems to be a deciding factor, somehow.
Well what actually advances in LB1? It’s pretty much villages or furry people hunting and doing all they can just to kill some monsters so they got something to eat. No real activities or culture that advances.
LB1 was definitely not developing. Nothing that existed there could possibly go against Ivan, and Ivan would never change things or let go of his position. All the Yaga were also stagnated. Their metabolism can only function if they consume a lot of food, but food is scarce and their only choice is hunting incredibly dangerous demonic beasts. They're a society forever doomed to live on the verge of starvation, with anyone that strays from it being crushed by the ruthlessness of the world or persecuted due to their culture.
Last Encore was just a worse Extra, and the same condition for survival still existed: the Mooncell.
They did advance from the start until present day, what with guns and all. Of course, an Ice Age and the rest of the world being dead really hindered advance
I'm pretty sure mages were the ones who created the magic guns, so even that kind of advancement happened many years before.
The goal of the Crypters was to try and advance their LBs so that it might begin to progress again, and Kadoc was planning on removing Ivan in favour of Anastasia for that purpose. Kinda tells you that the LBs initially are incapable of developing, especially when LB5.2 says their histories were simulated anyway from the point of culling to modern day.
didnt it take 1000 for Last Encore world to kill itself? And keeping the mooncell in standby was to make sure nobody fixes it?
Like Chaldeas can see 100 years into the future but cant change anything so all you get is a early warning system.
The Mooncell can see further and affect the timeline so ot already made sure the next 1000 years were fine, and then Twice put it on standby before it could maintain more thañ the next 1000.
Dont remember if Last Encore said how long the world would last under Leos "making sure everyone was comfy till the end of the world" rule.
Well, they didn't advance the way you typically think about advancing. The way lostbelts work is that they're taken from the point of divergence, and then the tree basically runs a realtime simulation of "how would this world proceed", and spits it out. That's what the galaxy inside the trees are, and so basically you make a jump from divergence point to current day, but everyone in the lostbelt itself gets the knowledge of the time passing, as if it really happened.

Lostbelts basically work on that theory that says the universe was created 15 minutes ago with 15 billion years of history, rather than existing for 15 billion years.
