Unpopular Opinion: I don't want to have a waifuable Arc in FGO.

I do, mostly for answers about Arc in Fate worlds, but also because Arc has always been a waifu.

I was thinking of waifuing as just being a summonable Servant in game because many in the fandom will write doujin and other works for them regardless.

I just threw up a little in my mouth. I know the writers wouldn't develop anything and at most throw in a few shippy bond lines or valentines event but that's still too much for me after 20 years of Shiki and this remake lol. Psychic damage EX.

Arcueid is already a textbook manic pixie dream girl, so I really can't see how FGO could make her any more painfully waifubait. If anything, her relationship with Shiki could only improve by having him as a non-PoV character.

4* Berserker Arc will have vague allusions to how she likes you but she's really pining after Tohno in her room lines; however, 5* Ruler Archetype,

Archetype isn't treated as unique personality like Ryougi. And I'd be surprised if she isn't expanded on as part of the upcoming Arc route. Either way, it's not like the player character can reasonably stand-in for Shiki so I'd just end up feeling bad for any version of Arc.

I don't think anyone sane does, but if Nasu didn't spare Ryougi, the odds of Arc (who was already a 'waifu') getting away are pre-tty damn remote.

Man, Pact was a train wreck from start to finish. I hate Wildbow's style and, if I have to use the word, themes (ugh), but he's very good at holding your attention.

Pale the current one is a lot better introduction into the verse, i feel like im the weirdo where i think nasu at times outside of waifu baiting goes more gratuitous grimdark with some of its things like zouken and such

I do feel bow does urban fantasy better tbh, and i do like how pale is like 'yeah treating others as tools is fucked up' and people try to challenge a status quo

Like practitioners are just as toxic as some magi in fate, but personally I find it.. easier to get or understand in a lot of ways, like if i had to use the word, they dont have the chuuni autism writing that makes them inhuman vs the nonhumans in fate.

Plus i find barbatorem the demon far far more interesting than kiara or any demon nonsense in nasu

While I also find the eventuality of a Guda/Arc ship the absolute peak of cringe, it's not like she's the first I'd want as far away from Guda as possible. At this point I'm almost numb to it.
If it happens I'm just going to appreciate the lore & the chance to use her in the game while ignoring everything else like I already do lol.
