Sure, it might be preferable to a neurotic like G.R.R. Martin who treats his work like the Gospel and has (allegedly) a passage in his will about destroying his computer and all his writing notes, but the fact is the curtain has grown too many holes for the play to be adequately entertaining anymore. At least I, personally (and though some may not realise or admit it, I believe the same applies to others on this forum) have long ceased any investment in "deciphering the works" of the Nasuverse; the rules are made up and the points don't matter. That might encourage writer participation, but it's also a fact that it decreases reader investment in the stories produced thereby. Why care about the tragic death of this or that character when they can turn up alive in the next page by the works of that or this heretofore unmentioned Deus Ex Machina? Or better yet, grab their quirky alternate reality counterpart, who acts exactly like the first one did only with a shinier coat of paint.
(Am I talking about the Nasuverse or Marvel Comics, now?)

Let it be known that when I wrote all that it was in the full knowledge that it would be rendered irrelevant by the next couple of pages, yet I did it anyway.
Again you speak like you representate majority when you speak for yourself and some (little part)

The real answer is that no one here represents the majority. The majority take their gacha and don't say anything else.

I never get this guilty pleasure thing. If you considered something has so many bad things why would you follow it to such extent. It's not like Fate is the only one with multiverse and many timelines. It's like you consider SAO bad but still watch it to the very current episode

You can like bad things. It just means that though you enjoy it, you can do so despite recognizing that it is flawed.

Though that's different than just, not liking it, and following it anyway.

I meant what DH said where the continuity in Marvel/DC has people coming back to life all the time. I mean that's where the tropes came from. But people still haven't lost their seriousness over it.

But not to bring the writer to "jii-san otaku" extent. It's more like insult than noticing flaws. Beside, what DeathHappens pointing out is something that you expect from a fiction world. You see it coming especially when you know how the servant system is
It's not like they are running out of ideas, neccessary amount of new characters is still coming

That is essentially my attitude towards Fairy Tail or Highschool DxD.

One of the main themes in Nasu’s works since the beginning is how things can still be beautiful even though they’re fleeting, I don’t know why you’d assume that doesn’t apply to death too

Usually we assume death of some sort is the reason those experiences are fleeting, yet beautiful. If death itself is fleeting, well...I don't think most consider death inherently beautiful, even in a literary sense.
