Can Risei really be considered a good Dad if he didn't even notice that his Son was straight up evil?

Taiga is the best I could come up with, but the trouble with Taiga is that there's a lot about her we aren't told, especially because it's stuff she wouldn't want Shirou to know. Taiga as presented in FSN is a very questionable person.

    Fujimura Taiga:
    - is a literal yakuza ojou
    - is a single female teacher at 30ish with no apparent previous relationship history
    - sleeps in on her job at 30
    - has no apparent friends other than children
    - became accquintanced to Emiya Kiritsugu the serial murderer who at the time was basically a walking corpse, and felt close enough to him become a legal guardian of his adopted child
    - saw a cute blonde in a church girl dress and instantly recognized her as an incredibly dangerous being
    - actually recognizes that whatever Rin and Shirou are dealing with is a matter of life and death, smells the blood in the air, and treats it tactfully

Basically when you stop treating Taiga as a joke character, she looks like a wreck of a person with some not very comedic stuff in her past that goes unmentioned. The importance of being there for an orphan kid is not to be understated, but that's like calling the cool uncle who lives in the grandparent's basement a cool guy because he plays cool video games.

At least you get to see normal(?) friends of her in Ataraxia.

    Pretty sure Taiga is 23~24.

Saying she has "no apparent friends" doesn't make much sense when we see only like a week of her life? From the perspective of her effectively adopted child?

Calling her a "wreck of a person" seems like a pretty far stretch. And equating "taking in and caring for a child with no blood relation to you" and "plays cool video games" seems pretty absurd to me.

Also it fucks with a lot of the motif of the myths, son overthrowing father is a big one

Another part is that I feel its a disservice to the idea of how 'gods are bad/we dont need them' that nasu goes with as its a lot easier just to get with how dickish most of them were at times to use that narrative, then again the only time non beasts really seem that bad is in LB and backstories mostly like with humbaba or herc with hera (how does that work I wonder)

I really dont care for nasu making gods the cheerleaders for humanity half the time

    Sci fi was a mistake
My only gripe is not that they are evil, but that Shirou talks as if they are. The idea of civilization thriving in a fantasy kitchen sink strikes him as offensive for some bizarre reason.

Lostbelts (Atlantis included) are portrayed as adversaries. They are not evil per se but their goals are incompatible with yours (as F/GO character).
This is actually canon with the myths. Nitro Zeus isn't.

Not exactly. The gods supplanting the Minoan deities is... old, to say the least. OTOH, I can't believe I created an OC that turned out to have the same name as a fringe theorist whose field pertains to stuff said OC is involved in. That's like top Synchronicity bullshit in real life.

Even though it's fanfiction, his response to finding out was... not the taciturn boring Tommy we're used to.

There is nothing wrong with that but relying on the opinion of a dangerous idiot character is a borderline grasping at straws.

These are hardly rare by any means (and Unicron was vanquished by them).

As far as I know no mythographer acknowledges the hypothetical transition of beliefs.

Nah. Kiara was only described as "enormous motherhood" to contrast with Kama as "enormous maidenhood".

Tiamat is the ultimate mother figure you're looking for, not Kiara.

The bigger problem would be Kingprotea who has the earth mother essence but is a loli, aka motherhood and loli combined into 1.

UNKNOWN LOCATION, JAPAN, NEAR THE END OF THE SHOWA ERA (late 1980s)
Mrs. Nasu [indulgently placing her hands on kinoko's shoulders and leaning over him from behind]: Ara ara, Kinoko-kun, you can't play video games all day. It's just no good. [Dame yo.] How will you ever get a job and support us in our old age if you don't study hard and go to school?
Kinoko [cracking pubescent voice]: Yes mom.
Kinoko [internal monologue]: Screw you, mom! I'm gonna get a job where I can play video games all I want!

THIRTY YEARS LATER, AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF NOTES INC, TAITO WARD, TOKYO
Nasu Kinoko: -I mean giant tits, like, the size of your head. So in order to prevent Tiamat from drowning the entire planet in her vaginal discharge, you need a large, rigid, sword-shaped beam kind of thing, such as might be gripped firmly in the hands - are you taking this down?
Takeuchi Takashi [high on cocaine, recieving oral sex from a blonde prostitute in a high-waisted skirt concealed under the desk]: uhhhhh, yeah, yeah

Also aren't Issei's older brother & that woman who wants to be called "Neko" her old friends and classmates?

    Neither are exactly children.

She's in high school in that audio drama where she meets Waver. I'm not sure on specific age.
