Speaking of Lovecraft, it interesting to note that Merlin, or a character strongly implied to be him, appears in one of the Mythos stories. He is presented as a sorcerer who had some kind of connection with Yog-Sothoth. Considering that in Nasuverse Merlin's father is some big-shot Demon, and True Demons are said to be similar to Lovecraftian monsters, it seems likely that this version of Merlin would also be connected with the Outer Gods in some capacity.

Yeah but meteo is the only person interested in lovecraft vs nasu who seems to be going for the more christian angle and arturian mythos is his baby.
and your forgetting in normal arturian mythos he was supposed to be the antichrist till he got baptised
Ill give a unpopualr opinion, gate of babylon is a terribly written noble phantasm that blatantly is showing a lot of issues as fate goes on, CCC made it far worse with that wank that is barely talked about even in setting.
Hell I notice a lot of people have trouble agreeing where GoB ends, is it only physical Nps? does he have grand NPs or LB type Nps ect

The antichrist thing is a very modern addition IIRC, he was supposed to be the child of a demon, or an incubus, or just of the blood of something considered evil.

The "antichrist" as a concept in general is fairly recent, I believe.
shit BL says
Once and always and nevermore.
Yeah, I was just referring to the antichrist thing. It's literally just a recently made up term. If I remember right, the bible uses the word exactly once, when it talks about anybody who denies Jesus existed, or something.

If I can be pedantic, if the word existed anywhere in the bible, it by definition could not have been a recently made up term. (But yes, it is used five times only within a single book of the Bible, and all to refer to people in general who denied the (first) coming of Christ).
There are a few passages in the New Testament describing a figure we would understand as "the" Antichrist, but the specific term is not used. In my experience, today the term is most often used to refer to the second person of the unholy trinity in Revelation, aka the Beast described in Revelation 13, though descriptions referring to what seems to be the same figure are also in 2 Thessalonians. Whether that's an actual, literal individual that will exist someday is something that could be argued either way I'm sure, but at the very least the concept of an evil mirror version of Christ is certainly present in the Bible itself.
My Fanfiction - Almost entirely short stories and oneshots
Also a figure in concept to it also exists in the islamic end days, and jesus fights him to the death which is metal
Isn't it canonical that Jesus taught Martha to box in fate?

She has Jacob's fighting technique. Jesus gave her the staff she uses.
Does recentedness matter when Persona references and some hack's book are enough to make a Servant?
Scathach evolves into Skadi in SMT I believe.
Same for Astaroth and Ishtar/Inanna/Astarte I think?
Hey, there is an actual real world connection between Astaroth and Ishtar/Inanna/Astarte. Can't defend Skadi though.

It's recency, not "recentedness" and it only really matters to Nasu depending on how he feels about it on any given day.
