I also prefer new Arc. There's just something about those boots, man.

Grannyskirt>>>>Miniskirt.
With the long one, whenever you get a hint of leg it's way more tanatalizing, since it's not constantly on display 24/7. Give me a girl with a long dress and a slit up the side anyday.

I'm only just now putting this partially into words, but one reason I prefer old Arc is I find it endearing that she's a little frumpy. She's a bit out-of-touch and she looks like it. New Arc's outfit looks like it's selected to be fashionable.

Eh, you can get boots like that at any mall. My mom wears a pair like that.
O walls, you have held up so much tedious graffiti that I am amazed you have not already collapsed in ruin.
Was she frumpy? She dressed a little conservatively, but she was a busty good looking blonde in Japan.
Just because she wore a longer dress, that would probably be seen as classier, not frumpy. As in the "she could wear a potato sack and it would look good" type.

Not appreciating them both equally. Uncultured swine.
Arc's design to me is reminiscent of 80's anime main girl, rather than a modern anime main girl.
For a breakdown of modern/post-modern anime main girl look, I think the most prevalent is this.
I was in Japan in 2019 and old Arcueid's kind of outfit was still the common autumn wear (with two cases of a girl wearing the exact Arcueid outfit). The miniskirt in October is closer to being an out-of-touch option, and even then I can't imagine this being the intention in either version. Stop this misinformation.
New Arc has the advantage that she hasn't ben put in as many Nasu-humor-lol situations as OG Arc.
I really liked OG Arc in the VN and the manga, but her appearances in KT and MB really soured me on her.
New Arc has a streak of OG's MB shenanigans in her, but so far it's been kept at a level that works with the rest of her character.
New Arc also has a sexier version of the granny skirt, checkmate Atheists!
burn your dread you coward
Really now, I would have thought the mini (or if not mini just shorter skirts in general would be the normal option myself, but I also didn't think more conservative clothing was granny-like (I mean, if I did I would be crying all the time given my favorite character).
Very interesting. What area was it in might I ask?
Arc just can pull off both immaculately. I'm sure Shiki will have many blurry photos in his phone.
