Reason why FSN has not gotten an offical english localization simply comes down to one very simple thing: Money.
A lot of people working in the VN localization industry have talked about this. Type moon is asking for obscenely unrealistic amounts of money for a visual novel, to the point that coming even close to breaking even is nothing but a pipe dream, let alone making profit.
I wonder how many of the people who made the localization offer like 10 years ago after F/Z or after UBW or after FGO are kicking themselves for not going along with it.

As long as they edit out all the fights, or else you're just watching someone else play a shitty/medicore rpg and that's even worse.
There is a bit of added investment when you get when you manage to clutch out a win against a huge chapter boss, with only one nearly dead character left. But 1% of battles is hard to justify all the time spent getting there.

It's mostly bitter resentment and a burning desire to never let FGO players forget how terrible they are for liking a bad thing. Not very deep at all.

Hating FGO is correct, but its correctness is trivial; like your maths teachers said, getting the right answer only counts if you can show your working. If you arrived at the answer by a shortcut or some other incorrect method, it's worthless. I would go so far as to say that hating FGO for the wrong reasons is not only bad but in fact morally equivalent to 'liking' or, indeed, 'playing' FGO
