    Oh wow. So a bunch of volumes were never even touched upon, beyond the first 3. Yeah they'll definitely need a second & third season if they want to reach at least El-Melloi Adventures for an anime.

    Just introduce him to the anime audience in a filler case? Seems like a possible way to handle the situation.

    Btw, just to clarify that is Touko's outfit on the Iselma case but it hasn't been mentioned or confirmed this special will be the Iselma case
    Also I don't remember any egg like thing like the one in the background during that case

    The fact that it's even getting a special, and more importantly that it's airing during the NYE stream is already big, could very well announce a new season afterwards. Also, there's a staff talk a week later in January that might have other news.

    I'm hoping they'll announce a season 2 after this airs, similar to how season 1 was announced after episode 0 on the New Year's stream. They've been rerunning season 1 on TV too, which is what convinced me.

    Also yeah it's definitely not Iselma, because Gray and Waver aren't wearing their Iselma outfits. I think these may be completely new clothes for them actually. Well Waver's might be his Adra clothes, but Gray's is definitely not one she wore in the LNs.
