The planet has been destroyed. The world is now a lifeless shell barring a single location.
Eden. Silver City. City of Glass.
A final sanctuary created for this very purpose. A paradise that has been isolated from the devastation of the outside world. A place where the last remnants of humanity can live and thrive and dream of one day perhaps setting out once more to the Earth and repairing the damages that had been done.
At least, that’s how it was supposed to go.
Centuries have since passed and Eden has become completely divided amongst itself. Everyday people in the upper levels of Eden feast and live lavish lives. Those in residing in the middle sections live normal, ordinary lives from day to day. But for those in the lower levels, everyday is a fresh hell. The streets are in a constant state of unrest as far too many people fight over paltry scraps. And as the situation worsens, they are forced into increasingly desperate measures. Until at last they are forced to break the final taboo. Eden’s most ironclad restriction. The initial cause of ruin.
Devil Summoning.
For the sake of a wish. For the chance at a miracle.
At a price.
And now… for reasons that only you alone know, you have performed this forbidden ritual and now a creature straight out of your nightmares is staring at you, patiently waiting.
“What is it you desire?”
Original Sin is an urban fantasy rp where you take the role of a contractor, somebody who has made a deal with a Devil in order to achieve some dream. Your journey begins in Inferno, the lowest levels of Eden, and must slowly carve out a place for yourself as you deal with the consequences of the sin you have just committed. For more in-depth information, you can consult the rulebook here.
For deadlines, with the holiday season coming up soon and what not, I'll put a tentative date at January 6th. Slot wise, I'm hoping for around 5 spots.
Thanks to Leftovers, I3uster, and Katie for helping me bounce some thoughts, and an extra thanks to Satehi for the assistance he provided.
Other Questions:
Q. Do I have to pick a Devil from the list or can I create my own?
A. You can create your own if you want.
Q. What's the difference between I Will Survive and Unbreakable?
A. One helps you survive extreme amounts of damage, the other lets you continue to act despite taking extreme amounts of damage. To give an example, if you were to be thrown off a cliff, if you had I Will Survive, you would live through the fall. On the other hand, if you had Unbreakable, you would be capable of acting for a brief amount of time after you landed before you went down.
