My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
The commentary is on how people see Servants as just fights to entertain them and Erice is all "they're heroes from history show them respect".
This is the dumbest thing I've read all day.

To elaborate, Erice's observation/point-of-view is that the Servants have become this highly valued, yet commonplace, commodity--a sentiment that echoes the gotta-collect-'em-all and anyone-can-take-the-role-of-Master ethos that are present in F/GO.

The constant influx of Servants into the T-M community has, in a way, indeed lessened the mystique and gravitas of Servants. No longer does the introduction of new Servants feel like a true event, now it just feels par for the course, a fact of life, something that merely sates instead of inspiring awe, makes these legendary figures feel less than larger-than-life.
If this post was meant to troll me, then by jove, it worked. Congrats. Consider me tilted.

Going by the reactions when people first heard about the synopsis of Requiem, it was good that the topic was brought up early.

Not that modern Fate/ titles don't have overarching mystery, but that it seems like build-up and payoff towards the reveals of Servant identities aren't as crucial to being in service to said plots, instead being used for instant gratification and to act of popularity draws.

Tl;DR I like /Requiem, I think it's got a decent bit to say and it does so in an interesting way that contributes not only to the meta-development of the community but also possibly in-setting, within the context of its own narrative

At the same time, it's funny how what she says is a bit of an overreaction that's convenient to her worldview.
I wish that their little fight lasted a little longer though, but the fact that these teenage girls are mature enought to be able to agree to disagree so easily in comparison to (mostly) adults in the fandom makes me laugh.

lmao glad it worked
it's great that Meteo can project it in Requiem
Now I can see the people that reject the use of the grail as Dullahan
