I'm aware of the meaning, but the term was coined recently, due to recent shows and their characteristics, so there's a lot of baggage that's expected from shows classified as such. Just because the literal meaning of the word isekai is "another world", does not mean the genre called isekai has to encompass everything that contains a protagonist travelling to another world, with no other characteristics attached.
Now, please note that I'm not arguing one way or another particularly, I just found the question of whether the term can really be applied so broadly and whether Japan uses it as such or not to be interesting.

Interesting, then it probably means the term was commonly used for this kind of story since before it was so popularized, though the perception of the genre has certainly changed since then.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
No, my point is there's no such thing as an unbiased opinion, lol. Anyone who holds an opinion is biased, there's nothing inherently wrong with that.
Unrelated to that, from the tsukikan interview someone linked:
Further proof that Takeuchi is the secret Saberface mastermind behind everything.Nasu I still have ill feelings toward what is publicly known as "moe," so he writes things in to make sure the plot has those elements, but he retains that "I haven't completely sold my soul yet!" But then he goes and says "We could use some moe here, and there." (LOL) That's all he ever talks about, wanting more moe. He doesn't say what type of moe he wants, or what kind it needs, so eventually I have to ask him "What exactly do you want?" And he replies "That's for you to think about."

you are complaining about something that is not character become a HS, and Nursery Rhyme is already exist since Extra, It's a children's poems also not a character. You don't have a problem about that? Maybe you don't know about Nursery Rhyme and don't care about it so they can do whatever they want with it, and you are angry about Little Prince because you know about it, it's pretty normal, but just keep it for yourself

I don't think you understand what it is I'm complaining about and I suggest you reread what I wrote earlier. Furthermore and unconnected to that, this is a discussion thread on a discusion forum, so where exactly do you get off telling me I'm not allowed to express my opinion?

I like the name, Fate/Requiem, though. It sounds cool.

What's wrong with borrowing things from popculture like those.
It's not like Type Moon is the only one who did it.
How many Robin Hood interpretation since it was first made?
Heracles Hercules or any Greek Myth are also heavily used in lot of media and with many interpretation (quality aside)
You're saying that they're disrespectful but they're disrespectful from the start by making Arthur a girl and Emperor Nero a girl too

I wonder what the meaning will be.
Zero is called that for being a prequel.
Apocrypha is called that because it's an AU (having been written before AUs were all over the franchise).
Strange Fake because it's a weird and false Grail War.
So I'm curious what will give it the name Requiem.

Complaining about Little Prince after all of that is like a "WHAT?" to me, that you just realize it
