In the end, even the dragon wasn't enough to catch up to the cyanhead when she didn't want to be found.
The trail ended to the end of the corridor, to the far end of the main building, where the slightly ajar window told that it had been opened recently. Rain was pouring in slightly and the greenery outside had been veiled in colors of grey and depressing, somber dark, but amidst it, Prushka could see it... a faint hint of a colorful trail, almost like it had been left behind by the insectoid wings of a dragonfly. Not only that, but the tell-tale fragrance of ozone in the air told that a spell had been activated and mana was still hanging in the air.
In other words... Ubon, having had enough of the situation, had promptly escaped.
Perhaps because she didn't want anyone to see her right now. Perhaps because she was afraid that she would lash out again like back during the worst night of this week. Perhaps because she just didn't know what to speak of anymore. Whatever the reason, whatever the motive, she had left so that she could be alone for a moment, with her own thoughts... or so it felt, at least.
For Ubon to want to be alone was rare.
Which made it truly feel like that if she didn't want to be found, she wouldn't be.
Thus, Prushka could only stare after the disappeared girl, unsure of what this would mean for the rest of the week...

Lucille Faraday & Elise Pelltier
Location: Pinefall High Cafeteria
Phase: Morning Phase
Date: 09.09.1994 (FRI)
Weather: Rain
There was nothing more to say.
Instead of exploding, the situation simply fizzled out... like a wet firecracker, there was no explosion of dramatic consequences. Instead everything simply ended... and no one was left feeling any better thanks to it. One-by-one, the people around the table just left, looking like they wanted to get out of the situation as fast as possible. The last ones left were Lucille and Elise, and even they had to get a move on eventually. After all, the school day was about to start... a new day at Road's End was about to start. But this time, this week, there seemed to be a heavy shadow over everything.
Or rather, it was almost like the trauma of last week had caught a stranglehold of everyone present, and was now slowly squeezing the life out of everyone.
The somber words of Ubon as she left...
The cold eyes of Mercedes as she left...
The unnerving feeling of dread as everyone left...
--- The two girls, the blonde and the brunette, could almost feel like something was laughing in the distance as the cafeteria ended up empty and abandoned.
A cruel female voice that enjoyed this turn of events, enjoyed the crumbling friendships, enjoyed the destruction of trust.
In other words...
... It laughed at their own decisions.
And somehow, it sounded like their own voices.
