Lucille did feel guilty about the pout on Mercedes’ face, but she supposed that she’d just have to carefully think about boundaries afterwards. The starlet was certainly mean-spirited… but reformation was a gradual process, wasn’t it? She’d have to ease Mercedes in to being a better person than she was yesterday, one step at a time. Maybe being too forceful was the wrong idea…
But before she could truly dwell on those thoughts—
Lucille’s reaction to Sakura’s sudden affection was much like that of a startled cat; she practically shot up like a rocket with an inelegant squeak."Why yes, Addie~! That's how we do things~!" Sakura cooed, rubbing her cheek against Lucille's. "I'm glad you're not judging, since that's just how things are~! Milady here is the master and I'm but a lowly servant, ahahaa~!"
“J-just what are you d-doing?! I know being clingy is on your profile but please could you not actually do it to me!” Despite the panicked tone of her words, Lucille made a rather poor effort to shake Sakura off, her motions rather restrained, as if she was afraid of accidentally harming the other girl in her effort to get personal space.
In the end, Lucille’s half-hearted efforts were futile, and she dejectedly tried to provide clarification on what Sakura had taken liberties with, uncomfortably jittery.
“So, er, sometimes, your parents feel extremely uncomfortable sending you into what they think is a glorified asylum, so they pull some strings and fake some papers and now your maid gets to go to school with you because they just want your safety above all else,” she said, words flowing like the current of the river. “She’s really my maid. Her paycheck is based off my evaluations.”
Lucille gave Sakura a look that anyone in the room could have understood, the message all too clear.
She’d like it if she was unhanded, now.
